I went on a week long field trip when I was 11 and I was the only kid willing to eat egg salad. Everyone else had to share crappy roast beef and chicken, and I got as many sandwiches as my little heart desired.

I think part of it is because many of us have come to think of egg salad as a "picnic" food.

It's also not like a ready to make hamburger patty or piece of frozen chicken.

Lazy people are less prone to whip up the egg salad. Myself included.

Ready made egg salad should be in more stores. I'd buy it.

The biggest reason we don't eat more egg salad = it has to be fresh and thus less convenient for fast food places.

It's just not around that much.

@fleeperzonk agreed, ill do the mustard, and maybe some relish, but no cheese. dont get me wrong i fuckin love cheese, but egg salad needs to be as basic as possible.
