This album has been played to death on all the formats that I've ever owned of it. Vinyl, cassette, CD and mp3.  It has to be my fave all time album. Can't wait for this box set. I've been badgering on at Fishman myself for a release date !!

@pompeyrob LOL! Same here, all counts... well, maybe not so much 'badgering' as 'polite nudging'? ;) The wait IS hard. But, from what Paul's told me, the box set itself is ready and now it's just the website left to be completed, as that's where the CDs will be made available. Sounds like the site's going to be amazing -- 'a 3-D web-space' and all. I love "Politics", too, but I'm also looking forward to some of their early stuff. Have you ever heard the original "Praying to the Beat," c. 1979?

@wabbitt124 I'm looking forward to it all. The website, the old stuff, the remastered Politics, the 12" versions, the merchandise., all of it I can't say I've ever heard the original PTTB, I've only ever heard the tracks on the Politics and Hummanication albums. Need this boxset asap !!

@pompeyrob I have the original PTTB (the one they're calling "the unpleasant version" on disc 1 of the box set, LOL) on vinyl from when they recorded it on a sampler for Melody Maker/Red Stripe back in '79. I really want to hear the original version of "Politics", as well -- and the 12" mix of "Jungle", which I'm told is a new mix they did just for this release. I'm afraid, though, when we finally get all this material we'll only want more! So you have Humanication, too? Any favourites?

80sVida: I'm trying to post on various Re-Flex video pages about news from the band about their upcoming website launch and CD box set release for anyone who might be interested. But on several pages, including this one, my comments are being automatically marked as "spam" by YouTube and hidden. It doesn't occur on all the pages, so I'm unsure what's triggering it, but I'm trying to find away around it. Having said that, is there anyone here who would prefer I not post about news from the band?

Thanks so much for posting this! I don't think I've seen it in almost 23 years and I don't remember it getting as much airplay on MTV as "Politics". Someone had posted "Praying to the Beat" a while back, but it disappeared without a trace about 3 or 4 months ago. I don't know what happened, but I hope this one stays. Maybe with the EMI Records tag, it will. All the better to draw attention to the guys.
