  • seems very cool but i am not paying for addon planes.

  • what is the use of the pistol in flight sim anyway?

  • its an award that pilots would be given

  • it would great to have in the sim if the pilot commits suicide with that pistol when the aircraft is in flames!

  • background music is beautiful!

  • neoqb, the piano piece is ingame? If not, what's the name of the tune and who'se the composer? I'd like to add it to my collection if it can be bought on CD.

  • Tha'd be cool if the plane in the back ground was a stress reliever and you could rip it apart..

  • Anyone know how to program the slider on a joystick to work as the throttle in Rise of Flight?. I just got my copy yesterday and I can't find a way to do it. In the "Input" section of "Settings" I'm not able to make any changes at all. What can I do. I don't like using the keyboard to do my thottle.

  • Not sure if anyone answered you...but...I also had this problem and went into the Settings page that appears when you start the game up and found where they had default set the throttle to the "+ and -" keys. Clear those settings and just input your throttle slide key (Mine was called "Axis P" I think. And then set it in reverse mode. How about the Padlock view. Does that work for you? And...I don't see where you can go into the "Hangar".

  • Feels old.

Feels right, all of a sudden.

  • Great! What's that sad and wonderfull piano music in the background? Touching tune.

  • Yes a nice tune indeed.

  • Wow just found out about this game. Cant wait.

  • 5/5

  • dude, for this game i would learn Russian

  • Wouldn't we all? :D

  • awesome! This game will also be released in English too right?

  • of course it will )

  • No..almost in the start of the war.....Learn the systems req....Only you can play if have conection to internet....if no have conection can`t fly... =()

  • Wasn't possible in real life during that time period unless you wanna jump without a parachute.

  • Exactly, which is why I want to know. I'm hoping characters will have ragdoll physics as they fall.

And the Germans had parachutes in mid 1918. They saved quite a few lives, including Rudolf Berthold, Ernst Udet, and Erich Loewenhardt (the first time; the second time, Loewenhardt's chute failed and he plunged to his death after a mid-air collision with Lt. Alfred Wenz at 12,000 feet).

  • cool you can use wikipedia

  • Why the fuck would anyone bother with that trash? Wikipedia is just about as accurate as a blog.

Use Encyclopedia Britannica. Most of this stuff I've learned from books and museums, not websites. Peter Hart's "Aces Falling" is a good place to start.

  • "Wikipedia is just about as accurate as a blog."

    You´re wrong. And a douche.

  • "I'm right because I said I'm right!"

    Lol.

  • I believe it was Nature who did a study and found Wikipedia on average to be as accurate as Encyclopædia Britannica.

You being a douche, on the other hand, doesn´t require a citation.

  • Oh really? You got a citation for that? Because I've got one that would counter that claim:

    corporateDOTbritannicaDOTcom/britannica_nature_response

And that last part, you're right. Opinions are never facts, hence they don't need a citation. :D

  • I'm well aware of what Nature claimed, but they were wrong, simply put.

  • Yeah, that´s their response to it. And then Nature made a counter-response, but I´m too lazy to read either of them.

I still think your hatred for Wikipedia is a sign of misguided elitism though. For instance, a quick search for "Parachute" provides almost the exact same information you mentioned above. Overall I think it works fabulously as a source of quick information.

  • No actually he is correct, as anyone on earth can edit Wikipedia, One click away the accuracy is gone. Consider that.

  • You can't just add anything you want.

If I made a Wikipedia page say "Boeing 737's were invented in 1917", it would be changed back in about a minute. The are moderators that keep track of edits.

You can even be banned from editing after a certain amount of times.

  • You do realise, they can't check every single article on there? The sheer ammount of articles is humongous.

  • True, but still. I've never seen them overlook anything before.

I would know, people at my school love to "edit" Wikipedia pages...

  • @gumball20000 indeed!

  • @neoqb i have a question: i know that the game comes out of the box with 4 flyable planes and that if you want to fly the others you have to pay,but are the others allready in the game flown by A.I or do you need to buy all of them!!!???

o and can i run this game with windows 7?

awaiting a reply thnx in advance ;-)

  • @warmonger735: You don't need to buy additional planes. The other planes will be flown by the AI, although you have not bought them. This means that all the other planes are already part of your game, but you cannot fly them as long you have not paid for.

Windows 7 should be no problem.

  • Oh wow that's awesome! Keep it coming!
