I would love to see that painting in person. I think it's one of your best so far. don't know if you feel that way. we make videos for ourselves, not for the public. if we start making them for the public, the public will greatly disappoint us.
You'd better keep making videos, boy! I'd hate to have to come up there and kick your butt. I like these real you videos. I like the crazy ones too. You and that chicken guy need to kick out some videos though.
That big painting is fantastic. It looks complicated. PLUS , it's a little different than usual. I'd like to see your art evolve, and this one does, in my humble, uneducated opinion.
@SlackJones1 there is something liberating about not having to worry about composing and editing a video, to me rambling, babbling & improving is the true nature of what Youtube is....that and drunk videos.
@StevenChandlerArtist Yes, editing is for pusses. Editing and doing many retakes can make a much better video. I just did a drunken improv in one take. The last half is best, but if I could have done several takes and edited the best parts together, it would have been much better. Still, it takes a REAL MAN to get an idea in his head and do one take without writing anything down, or improving on his first try at all. That's where the excitement lays. Still, I would like to improve it.
@StevenChandlerArtist PS: it takes a real man to reveal that he has a tooth or two missing in his video. I thought it added to the addiction/desperation feeling.Of course, I COULD have retaken parts and edited to remove the embarrassment, but hey, it's youtube, and everybody knows I'm a mess anyway. It's part of the truth, which is the most important part of any youtube video. Only videos that show or hint of the video maker's real self are art. The rest is crap.
@SlackJones1 You/I can do both, sometimes a little production aint bad, the thing is, the whole ida of editing is to make your video more watchable, but if the viewer uses his imaginatation, they can just edit the video in their own head and save me all the hardache of having to spend a while doing the whole moviemaker thing...also HD is on my camera, but who needs to see me in HD...if it aint nothin to Bob Dylan, it aint nothin to me.
