Even though this was EXTREMELY difficult to watch at the time, i have to admit it is one of my favorite cricket moments, seeing someone as good as McGrath do that hurt like hell but is amazing to watch.
Great bowling but jeez this was some terrible batting. Trescothic trying to work a ball from off stump into the on side, Strauss playing from the crease and just hanging his bat like a tail-ender, Vaughan playing back when he should have been forward, Bell pushing way away from his body with a bizarre bat path and Flintoff... well words can't even describe how terrible that shot was.
Still, guess that's what happens when batsmen face the pigeon. What a champ.
Seriously how did England win the ashes in 2005 :( imagine if Mcgrath didn't get injured!! That Australian team was so much better than England.

im a pakistan fan and we've had some legendary bowlers but watching the legend that is mcgrath tear into the english batsmen was very satisfying.

if he didn't roll his ankle before the second test he would have won the ashes that year
