I am now sitting at my computer after having watched this video, picturing Forrest Gump as a horror movie...ah, yes, that makes it much more exciting, for I only have interest in movies that deliver terror, horror, darkness and gore. 3 things:

you should use another font, a more normal one

the text jumps around like a kids movie, you should make the text fade in and out

and in most trailers (especially horror trailers) there is a ton of fading, from scene to scene, you should use that

You did some really clever things with the footage and it had me laughing for weeks. The only bit I really liked in the AMC cut was Forrest naming the boat Jenny; that wouldn't really have fitted in with the theme you were going for, I don't think, wheras the AMC trailer was focusing on Forrest being obsessed with Jenny. Anyway, I love this one :P

Given that the production values are the only thing better for AMC, I'd say that's quite amazing.

Thanks for the advice. I did get kind of LiveType happy since it was my first time using the program. You can still see the one-frame mess-ups where my ins and outs overlapped too... Unfortunately I deleted the tracks at the end of last year since I didn't have the hard drive space for it, but I'll definitely keep all that in mind for the next stuff I make.
