OK lemme break it down for ya....Between the RKO and the Diamond Cutter...

The Diamond Cutter actually had DDP putting pressure to make the move look real and it had lots of variations becuz it was all DDP putting the pressure on it...

The RKO however is all theater antics...its the Opponent jumping along with Randy Orton jumping and u got the RKO..with the Diamond Cutter its just DDP takin u for the ride to the ground.

from what I've seen, DDP's cutter variations has more technical setups, which is kinda cool. RKO's is a jumping cutter which is preceded by theatrics on a rising stunned opponent, which seems to be the rage with most of the new guys' finisher nowadays.

With DDP, you can always expect some form of locking up into a grapple of sorts, so for him to find his way out of it and into his diamond cutter is a bigger IT factor.

I love randy, I do, but DDP was always one of my most favorite wrestlers, the diamond cutter was just this awesome move that could be done in any situation, as we just witnessed here, that was the freaking giant (big show) and he still managed to bring him down

The RKO isn't bad. People saying it is are just mad that Orton uses it.

However, Orton does not have nearly the surprise innovative potential with it that DDP did. His only set up is basically 'Randy is disoriented HOLY CRAP HE JUMPED AND RKO'D DIS DUDE' which is cool once or twice but not as surprising after when you can pretty much time it. DDP hit Diamond Cutters out of basically everything, which was a hell of a lot more awesome.

The RKO is just a jumping cutter and its always the same shit.

The diamond Cutter is amazing he could pull that move off anywhere and it was always a surprising ending to the match because the diamond cutter was always different from all the variations DDP used, i have only seen two variations from Orton.

The difference is that Ortons is a jumping cutter usally the same shit and DDPS is exciting, different everytime and it never got old.

He's RKO'd the Undertaker when Undertaker's gone for a chokeslam, RKO'd Evan Bourne in mid-Air Bourne, RKO'd Carlito and Mysterio out of midair, and hit plenty of RKO's out of Attitude Adjustments. Just to name a few.

Just a damn shame what they did with his character after the invasion. The stalker gimmick was stomach churning, then having him fight Christian, who hadn't established himself as a singles wrestler, for the European Title!? DDP deserved so much better. No wonder wwe is in the shape it's in.
