  • hey ladies !! i soaked my Tapioca pearls for about an hour and they became badly mashed up and sticky unlike yours ...what went wrong ??

  • @shalini13784 : Sorry, we somehow missed this comment :(

I have had that happen to me once and it was the quality of the Tapioca - it was old and had probably been on the store shelf for a long time ... :(

  • I made a version of this tonight and really enjoyed it. I think there is too much peanut for my liking but overall it was tasty. Thankyou- Kate (from Australia)

  • Yum!! It looks heavenly!

  • I prepared this dish and it came out yumm... Thanks to the duo...

  • Instead of adding more water or lemon juice to increase moisture and add to softness of the sago pearls, one can substitute it with some yougurt or buttermilk and it does wonders to the taste...my grandmom's secret ingredient in sabudana khichdi :)

  • @djdeepti

Thank you (and your grandmom) for the tip :).

  • Hetal seems to have a little bit of a dominating personality, she doesnt seem very happy in this video. Anuja seems more friendlier, but thats just the perception from the video, the real situation might be the opposite or they both might be equally pleasant and friendly in person. but kudos to both for doing a great job. this was one of the easiest recipes for khichdi on youtube and i enjoyed it after i followed their simple yet very tasty recipe.

  • she ate it like it was a punishment

  • I have tried several of your recipes and they all turned out simply amazing. This khichdi recipe also was just perfect. You two are doing an amazing job and there are thousands of people out there who rely on your recipes...Thanks a bunch!!!

  • @mumbaitwilight

Thank you so much for your kind words and support!

  • i dont like taste of crushed peanutes...little picky...so can I avoid that step...

  • @angelpari21 : You can skip them but they do add a fantastic flavor to the dish :)

  • why is the woman with the American accent always in a bad mood!! !!

when I am watching a recipe show.. i want people to feel good about it. .. rt!

  • good recipe..but lil over acting.

  • yummmmm

  • Fantastic presentation and recipe too.

  • hai

thanks for recipe i tried this recipe, but the sago balls turned out to be jelly like and they formed into a sticky and all the balls where sticking to each other forming lumps, unlike what u have show in video they had become rubbery what could be worng

  • @lokloke7777 : It sounds like you had too much water... :(

Next time try it with a little less water and they should be perfect :)

  • @lokloke7777 rince sabudana 3 times, soak for 1/2 hr in 1 cup water, remove water and keep overnight , next day sprinke water 2 tps hope it works.May add curd(1/4 tps) after sprinke(secret)

  • I tried this out....it came out very yummy!!! Hetal & Anuja u both r doing a gr8 job!

  • serve this with yogurt, tastes yummy!

  • gabber sa jayada yeh dono pagal ha

  • @khelanpadia

    Aap yeh dish banake dekhiye...

  • @khelanpadia

Yup I agree with you! Especially Anuja, to be specific, at point 6:23 to 6:35 she looks just idiotic!!! simply idiotic...! (most irritating at 6:34) Hetal seems more sensible though! would appreciate if you avoid doing such idiotic things....

    Anyways, good preparation!

  • erm weird question but like how many types of khichdi are there??

  • @missy07yashy

Khichdi just means hodge-podge or mish-mash. It is made differently in each region so there is no telling how many types are out there.

  • Thankyou for this recipe. I made this buit the sabvudana turn clear like jelly. how do you keep them white? like they look in your vidoe

  • @desigayboi

Actually, they should turn translucent but they shouldn't be clumpy. If they remain white, they are undercooked.

  • I don't make it very sweet like u guys did (that is more of a gujrati style)... I like it to be a li'l on the tangy n spicy side!! But again it's ur preference... Thanx for sharing the recipe

  • hmmm interesting have not had sago based meal in like 18yrs....... any chance of a lentil based spicy curry? vegan style?
