Portal 3 should be a prequel to Portal, with Rattman. Team Fortress 3 wouldn't be too important, I think they should just stick with new updates and maps on TF2. Left for Dead 3 should take place on the east coast. (NYC - Washington DC - North Carolina - Savannah, GA - Florida Keys, maybe.) OR, it could take place near Colorado or Missouri, since the first 2 are in eastern US. Half-Life 3 and CS:GO I'm not sure about.

@FeamTorturess As far as I know CS:GO is the only one of those games which have been confirmed. HL3 might be released next year but it might as well take another 5 or 10 years. Then again it's not impossible that they would include games that has allready been released in such a bundle just like HL2 was like 4 years old but still included in The Orange Box.

There is not much they can do now that she's out of the facility, and the empty boat dock confirmed that the games were set in the same universe. @xxvozzoxx We know that they're in the same universe but are they in the same time? And even if they are i doubt that we will actually meet and interact with Chell in HL3/HL2:e3. I think that we can expect more references to Portal and Aperture Science in the new game though.

@xxvozzoxx While I do hope that aperture plays a bigger role in episode 3, Chell is out of the picture. Half life 2 takes place somewhere around 2020, and while we're not sure when exactly portal 1 takes place, it is sometime after 1980 (when Cave Johnson passed), and after Carolyn is made into GLaDOS. Though Valve hasn't given specifics about the time difference between Portal and Portal 2, they said it was several thousand years.

@wassup287 Yes, that would be cool... HOWEVER, How the heck would they be able to tie together two great storylines? Think about it. No matter how hard they work, there will always be fans screaming at them to do things. I would love to see an Aperture Labs tie-in to the series, but i think they would be best just keeping a few hints here and there. I think the largest extreme they could go to is having Gordon find the Portal Gun in a Rat Den onboard the ship. That would be cool!

@haloismylife123 Technically, it did exist outside of Half-Life. Portal is based on an student project called Narbacular Drop, Valve was impressed and hired them to develop Portal. For Portal 2, Valve got the gel idea from a game called Tag: The Power of Paint, which was made by another group of students that Valve hired for the Portal 2 dev team. The whole Black Mesa thing was just a joke in the first game that they worked into HL:Ep2 and Portal 2 as being canon.

I imagine they're going to put it on the backburner until the tools come along to give us something really special.
