until next patch u can drop 1 BPMoss quit load drop 1 BPMoss pick up 2 Twinkling Titanite quit load drop 1 BPMoss pick up 2 T T repeat this for 99 TT in less than an hour. Next patch kills all the good glitches so think twice before u patch.

This part reminded me of Zelda OoT's ice caverns. Honestly I never thought I'd enjoy a game as much as I did OoT when I was 12 years old. 25 now and who would have thought I'd be this age when I'd play my favourite game ever :)

Demon's and Dark Souls saved this generation for me. These two games reminded me why I used to play games as a kid.

The navigating in the cave isn't really that hard. Sure, I was like "WTF?" when I first realized there were invisible paths you need to walk on, but if you look carefully, you can see the snowflakes hitting the invisible floors. You just have to look, and it isn't hard at all then. It was quite frustrating though, mainly fighting with the golems-- I fell at least three times. :D

I've yet to use a Prism Stone in the game. I've been through the Crystal Cave and the reason why the stones weren't used is because other players have used message stones to mark where the paths are. This is a great advantage being online as obviously offline play would prevent this. First time through offline, leave your own marks so that they'll stay for you.

(not a big spoiler) but you will kil Smough and Ornstein(location: Anor Londo), after that you you talk to Gwyns daughter, who will give you an item to return to the dragon type thing that you can talk to in Firelink shrine. After talking to it and using the item these orange barriers will open. The one in Firelink shrine is the one you want to pass through. After progessing through there you will go to an outside area where you will sear crystals. Thats it

so i read there are 3 crystal lizards here, and i killed the lizard twice, and both me and the lizard fell off the platform ( resulting in me not looting him ). and the third time i got him. are all the 3 lizards in the same place, and did i just miss out on 2 twinkling titanites, or did the lizard respawn because i didnt loot it, and the other 2 hide at other places?

went back, saw 1 lizard, killed him for the loot, and never saw any other lizards

I wish I would have bothered to look up walkthrus for this game before playing it. This place, along with the tomb of giants, are among the worst dungeons in the game period if this is your first time exploring them. I died so many times in the Crystal Cave because the fucking clues with the snowflakes is so damn easy to miss.

@kickingtotalass you can just look at little sparkles that impact on the invisible bridges. more hard but saves prism stones and also you can return to the Undead Asylum :P

@PANAMHIEST you can tell difference between a treasure chest and a mimic is the chain on the side of the chest. if its straight its a mimic and if curled its a treasure chest. after killing a mimic you get treasure but they dont respawn.

also another lil trick i havent seen many use, is you can kill the attacking treasure chest and it will still drop treasure after you kill it. I found this after getting tired of getting killed by em so i just starting hitting treasure chest before trying to open if it moved i killed it lol. He uses the serpent ring to increase the drop rate. It is found in Sen's Fortress and is very useful when farming.

Tried this for a while with a lightning spear and no luck after like 5 or 6 waves...then tried with a fire axe and got 3 twinklers in 2 waves...may be that i'm really lucky but the fire weapon seemed to improve my odds. Nice video btw

How do u get to the crystal caves from the Archives? I'm at the bonfire that's on the balcony of the big room with the rotating staircase.

@vicriv8282 try to get on the secon floor (I think) on your right while facing into the library from the bonfire..there should be a room that allows you to take a ladder down and open up a bookshelf to give you easy access.

@vicriv8282 If you're standing at the bonfire looking into Duke's Archives, there's an door on the second floor right side. All you have to do is rotate the staircase so that you can go to the right side. There'll be a lone archer and a ladder in that room. You go down the ladder and there's a bunch of chests in the room down there. One of the is the key to free Big Hat logan from the bottom of the room you were imprisoned in. Also watch out for mimics.

@erazlle You need to get another ember, it's along the cliffside of the gold fog gate area after Queen Lag. You kill that boss and the lava recedes opening a new area... it's to the left but you'll get ambushed by a ton of centipedes so be careful. 4 exactly prior to the chest, bring lots of arrows. They spit acid.

Thanks! I summoned some people to help with the level, and they showed me where the boss was but I wasn't sure where the blue titanite slab was. Also, the fog door was weird for me as well. My first try there was no fog, my subsequent tries there was.

for the record, i killed 80 of these (24000 souls / 300 per kill) and got 0 twinkling titanites. either there's a bug where you have to leave the area and run all the way back after killing Seath to get the clams to have the titanite on their loot tables, or the drop rate is about 1% or less (or, at best, extremely rare, 3%ish)

@ualaelinlive It is rare... but try offline and see if that helps. I've noticed personally better drops when farming offline. Not sure if there's a % system used on the servers or not. We did that to finally get pure bladestone in Demon's Souls. I spent 12 hours trying to get pure bladestone online... had friends get it in less than 30 minutes offline. Go figure right?

@kickingtotalass Drop rates are affected mainly by Humanity. The more humanity you have shown near your health bar the better your drop chance.

the harder crystal golems yield 2500 souls and no additional loot (i was also wearing serpentine ring for max droprates).

my question is, is there any reason to kill the moonlight butterflies? other than souls. they are exceptionally hard and out of the way so...

How do you beat Seath? Everytime I hit him his Health just goes straight back up to full! I don't think its a corrupt save game... I was able to beat the centipede boss just before Seath (as in just before I went to Duke's archives I made it to Lost Izalith after killing the centipede boss) but now his Health won't go down... Do I need to leave that shitty music on back in the Library?

By the way, what's your weapon's stats? I have a Black Knight Halberd +5 and it's beast, but I don't hit those crabs as hard... of course, it's not fire since it's a unique weapon but my weapon damage is 500 under my status tab.

@Byjum It's a +10 Fire Great Axe and the stats are 784 dmg :D :D :D This game seems to really lean on no scaling from what I can tell. Or at least toward fire, I mean I guess that makes sense since it's all about the Flame this time around.

@Byjum Red Titanite Slab is in Lost Izalith. Near the boss fog gate, there's a treasure inside a recessed room. When you try to pick it up, the floor breaks and you fall down. You'll see the onion knight guy, and he'll help you kill the monsters down below you. The ones that spit acid and break your equipment. -_- Be careful if you jump down, the water will poison you. If you run around down there, there are some chests. Red Titanite Slab is in one of them I believe.

Hey, I've gotten out of the prison after running into Seath the Scaleless in the top of the tower, and finding out you weren't meant to win that fight.

This leads me to my current problem, I'm lost and don't know where to find the Crystal Caves. I looked all over the place, found a firekeep soul (aka explored the prisons to the fullest), found a 3rd camp fire, got the armor from the library.... I just don't know what I'm overlooking.

@mrdomino1988 You need to manipulate switches in both rooms to move the stair wells around in the middle. Once you get to the 3rd floor in the room with the bonfire (across from where you started) You'll take a path down that will unlock a shortcut by the 3rd bonfire... that shortcut you unlocked also leads outside the castle which will take you to the Crystal Cave.
