  • very nice guys! I too am a fan of circle hooks and I fish offshore Savannah all the time too.

May I ask if you guys are using crabs or live fish? Very nice catches by the way!

  • We are using dead pogies along with plenty of chum.

  • i love catching redfish my first was a bullred 37.5 lbs

  • dont get to upset, its just a fish man, not a human being

  • Don't you think you should revive your reds better than you do? Just throwing them in the water after a hard fought battle and being out of the water as long as you keep them out spells M-O-R-T-A-L-I-T-Y....

  • Blah Blah Blah - EVERYONE is a critic these days. If you don't have something nice to say would you please just move on to something else.

  • I guess I'll have to say it again - Mark is a working charter captain in the waters that we film around - Mark's livelihood depends on plenty of fish for his clients - he also is extremely conservation minded especially with redfish, I myself am a state board member of the Coastal Conservation Association a group dedicated to fishing and redfish in particular. We do not put any of these bull reds at risk of dying and most of the fights are relatively short due to our heavy tackle.

  • Yeah, reds are alot hardier than specks or snook- more like a giant croaker. I've never caught reds in deep water like that though.

  • u get much more redfish buddy

  • what kind of bait was he using

  • nice video! Im new at fishing for reddrum and dont know alot... Can you fish for decent size reddrum of the beaches?

  • We can in our area of coastal Georgia, you need good current and decent bait. I've caught them close to the shoreline as well as offshore and in the river mouths.

  • how far off the coast is that i cant catch anything at the dock :(

  • It is not very far but is a remote part of the coast, maybe a few hundred feet off Egg Island at the end of the Altamah River in Georgia. We also catch them in St. Andrews Sound which is the size of a large lake. Off a dock is probably not the best way to fish them.

  • Redfish are good eating along with spanish mackeral and mangrove snapper and many other fish im from florida and in one day we were at the sanibel pier we got 8 mangrove snapper and 2 spanish mackeral and a sand brim also known as a majora or w.e

  • I'll eat mangrove snapper any day of the week!

  • im a good fisher man im 14 ive caught a 5lb red drum on a rapala skiter walk mid summer in tx

  • i would of ate tht fish

  • They look good don't they. Years ago you could have kept that size fish but the red drum in that size are our spawning fish. When the big ones are kept, it hurts the whole fishery. Slot limit in GA is 14in to 23in. Anything in that size is a good eater - creel limit is 5 PP though. Best eating is to blacken in a skillet with Chef Paul Prudomes blackening seasoning. Little bit of butter and they are super tasty!

  • i used your tips it works
