You should study more about the terms of existence and non-existence in ancient greek philosophy. Then you will probably understand that Heraclitus and Parmenides do actually say the same thing.
Heraclitus invented dialectic. Marxists have made a political ideology out of it. They were all dialecticians and perceived human society as a conflict between opposites (proletarians vs. capitalists).
Similar case is with radical feminists (male vs. female), Nazis (Aryans vs. Jews), Jewish fundamentalists (Jews vs. Gentiles)...
Each philosopher was intellectual person, bringing ideas and new mentalities to the world, possibly in a good way. You can't say some was bad philosopher some not. Every one of us have our own point of view. I believe in opposites, cuz there is. Like Parmenides and Heraclitus, opposite persons. But if you ask me I say Heraclitus!
