geez, i forgot how much i loved this movie's main theme. it's Christmas time now, so i GOTTA pop in my Little Women dvd.

(also, i so agree with the commentor below. Little Women '94 is the closest movie adaptation of a book i've ever seen. For such a long book, they got pretty much everything important and memorable into the movie, played out almost exactly as it was written.)

This is my absolute favorite movie!! I'm a huge L.M.Alcott fan and this movie really is the best version of the book. I agree with a few others...they just don't make movies like this often enough! My daughter and I listen to this soundtrack all the time - <3 Beautifully moving...I love it.

I do Civil War reenacting and it's amazing how well this theme evokes the era....well done Thomas Newman! And as other commentors have said, it's about the special bond between mothers & sisters. I love listening to it while studying too. :)

I absolutely love this soundtrack, it could very well be one of my favorite soundtracks from Thomas Newman. I don't really know if you could listen through something as beautiful and atmospheric as "Meg's Hair" or "Spring" and *not* feel moved by it. Both songs are less than a minute long, yet it completely engages you! It's something very few composers can pull off, and Newman passes it with flying colors. Absolutely incredible, Newman deserves more recognition with this soundtrack...

The film and the score are inextricably linked. The music is almost another character in each scene. I listen to the soundtrack all the time, but especially so during the Christmas season! It truly is a film and a score for all seaons (and the film literally goes through all the seasons, so it's good to watch any time of year!!)

i haven't watch the movie, but its book, little women' is my favourite book until now. My fav figure of course Jo/Josephine and Laurie, and I am always really touched upon reading how the March family sacrificed their yummy breakfast and hard-earned money to help their poor neighbour. I also love the love story between Meg and John, and how Jo hates the relationship first as she loves her sister so much and unwilling to lose her.
