  • This is great!! You have a new subscriber! :D

I've been loking for something like this where I can learn Swedish 'cause it's fantastic and I adore it <3

    Thank you very much!

  • How do i pronounce the alphabet better? It sounds really different :( help? an example is 'H' , i really can't pronounce that

  • I have written down the Swedish alphabet, and the way it sounds in English. I found this really helpful, to help me pronounce correctly! I do it for all your videos! -Du är tillsammans med mej!

  • @debashri27

depends on the accent and dialect... :)

  • This is good... I want to learn my thai friend swedish :D

  • Is "ö" pronounced like the Russian "ы"?

  • Hey guys and girls, got a really useful (for me at least) tip. I put my ipod touch into the swedish laguage and its really helped me out! thumbs up so people can see!

  • It sounds like dutch....

  • @TheBartgry Dat is waar (That's true!)

  • Man... I'm learning Swedish in Vaasa, Finland now and this is not how they are teaching us to pronounce the letters

  • Dubbel vi-uh was my favourite

  • Is there suposed to be a Uh sound after most letters like B=Be-uh, C=c-uh, D=d-uh.

  • @TheOfficialLgGaming When you pronounce a letter and really put effort into to it, yes, there will be a uh sound after the letter. If you say it fast however, there won't be any "uh" sounds. So basically if you "stretch out" the word and pronounce it slowly, there will automatically be an "uh" sound. I hope I helped you. :)

  • 5:18 =)

  • You gave and example for ' ö ' with the word "bird". Do you know another example word for the letters ' ä ' and ' å '?

  • @CarnivorousDuctTape example word for Ä: apple and for Å: your, and as you wrote Ö: bird or maybe learn

  • This Is Really Awesome,...

  • I've been studying Swedish for 5 years and finally decided to find the alphabets... But I can't speak it at all since I've been learning it at school and they don't care if we actually learn it or not especially when most students hate it TT.TT My Finnish tone is just missing the melody of Swedish.... But I sure love how it sounds=) Anyway I think it's kinda easy language. I just forgot it.

  • I have always loved Ö

It looks like a shocked face...and ever since I started learning Swedish, for fun I would use it instead of the :O, haha.

Tack for the lesson! Have been learning for the past two years...and never thought to learn the alphabet, even after being in Sweden for 8 weeks. I fail. :D

  • AHHAHA älskar ♥

  • Something that might help some people learn it, what i did was let it play from A - G and replayed it a couple of times, repeated it, and tryed remembering it with out the video playing. Then doing it with the other letters now.. Good luck bros:3

  • I am 11 years old and I really want to learn Swedish! I think it is a beautiful language, and I want to live here some day! :) This is quite hard but I love learning new things! :) Thank you so much for uploading this!

  • I live in the U.S. and I want to learn Swedish :] because my ancestors came from Sweden and English and Spanish are very boring.

  • this tutorial really motivates you to learn, thank you :B

  • Damn girl, your voice sounds sexy.

  • some of these letters r similar to my how ppl pronounce it in my native language so luckily i dont find'em really hard to learn. Anyway, great lesson <3

  • I am Russian, but I want to move to Sweden. I have to try learning Swedish before I move (In a long time). I hope I will learn fast!!

  • At least I know the Dutch and English alphabet =P Now working on this one ;)

  • For Germans this is pretty easy :D

  • @AlexGorgeousHeroine

haha yes, thought so too :D it was really easy for me (:

  • I played the Jaws music in the background to this. It is so freaking funny! ahahaahaha!

The music got all intense on the weird looking letters. It was so perfect. Do it.

  • This is hard.... I'll learn.....

  • @11Moonwalk11 Yes, you will learn because I believe in you and you also need to believe in yourself, dear. Do not pressure yourself. Make sure to have fun while learning. Take your time. :)

  • gay gay gay ga hoe hoe hoe

  • @yourheadfelloff Wow, impressive!

  • @GoSwedish

    In Flames we trust !!!

  • @GoSwedish

    A B C = aaahhh, beer ...see ya!

p.s. Jag hoppas att jag gjort mig förstådd

  • i am so grateful for your lessons...my boyfriend is Swedish and i want so much to surprise him, bought relevant books but they say nothing about pronunciation so your help is more than valuable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fantastiche!!!! Very informative, subscribed.

  • I'm going to study in Stockholm after less than two years, hopefully. So I'll take it seriously from now on and Go Swedish!

  • Jag kan säga det svenska alfabetet nu!

    ...more or less :P

  • I'm having trouble pronouncing the 'R' sound,... do you have any tips? =/

  • I can't roll my "r"s fuckkkkk

  • GRAMATIK FAIL!!!!!!!!!

  • @MsZzweet Really? Are you certain that we should say "Säa"? If you want to correct somebody and know better shouldn't you then make sure to spell correctly and really make sure your comment is perfectly written? May I add that you can use BOTH these sentences, However, you shall spell it as "säga" of course. Pardon me, why would you find this so damn important to correct? It's Swedish no matter how you put it. Have a good day now.

  • It sounds so funny when stupid fatass americans try to say Scandinavian ö ä å letters :DDDD! ME AMERICANO EAT XXL BURGER ÄÄÄÄÄ ÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖ

  • @23BiGFailure The letters are actually very hard to pronounce though. Someone has to really be immersed in Swedish, Finnish, or German etc. to actually be able to pronounce those letters correctly..

  • Swedish seems easier than Finnish. :O Maybe because it's a Germanic language? :3

  • @Eeekxx I concur.

  • oh my ! this is so great!

  • I barely know any Swedish but have become somewhat hypnotised by your voice!

  • learn swedish for the card game...bought in airport,

and for some stupid ultimate princesse des glaces mission from st petersburg

  • I'm learning Swedish Because I Want To Talk In Swedish With One Of My Dearest Friend!! :3

  • Omg this is amazing! I am trying to teach swedish to myself and your videos are very helpful!

  • @ThanosSym Oh, really? That's so nice to hear. I am working on new videos right now. The number videos will be back up on my channel.

  • @GoSwedish thank you so much about your videos..yes..it was so nice that when i went to Stockholm i knew some Swedish phrases...i know the 3 "funny" letters to pronounce and this is really nice!!i like them!:)

  • GOOD JOB!

  • @Adrian3126PL Thank You! :)

  • @GoSwedish this video is amazing , exactly what i was looking for , Well done and Thank you for your effort . My wife is Swedish, and i'm going to Sweden in 3 months to live there :)

  • what a cute voice!! I love it. sounds so sweet

  • Thankyou very much for posting this . Amazingly helpful simply for the fact you make it a point to repeat all the letter several times.

  • @Robocop80s Hello there! Pardon my very late reply but I really want to show you that I read your sweet comment and it warmed my little heart. I thank you so much for your words. I love that you like my way of teaching; the reason I repeat so much is because subscribers have nicely asked me to do so. I can see how it may help more. So, it was very nice to read your words.

  • I'll be in Stockhom the 20th of this month..I love Sweden so much, I'm italian and I'm looking for a job..anyone knows italian families in Stockholm? @GoSwedish..one of the most interesting video about swedish alphabet..thanks

  • @Hagstrom4ever Hey! Will you be in Sweden today? I am glad you like Sweden so much. Sweden welcomes you. I don't know where you can find your job but hopefully you will find a nice one where maybe you can even use your native language? Do not lose hope, okay? - The most important thing is to practise your Swedish every single day for they'll ask you for this, I am sure - but I wish you the very best of luck. You can do this! :)

  • @GoSwedish How many languages do you know?

  • @11Moonwalk11 Hey there! I speak Swedish which is my native language and I speak English as my second language. How about yourself? I wish I spoke loads of languages for I love languages but it's not the easiest thing in the world to learn a new language so I feel for those who struggle with Swedish, but you can all do it if you truly want to. There was once a time when I didn't speak one word of English. :)

  • @Hagstrom4ever Well you should know that sweden is a safe land where there's not soo many crimes and robbs all the times, but when you arrived to stockholm try too not be in Kista (there's pretty bad place) and some of the places in sollentuna.

  • So useful ! Tack sa mycket. Greetings from Turkey :)

  • @Nsuxx Pardon my very late reply, but I would like to thank you so much! All my love to Turkey! :)

  • its the best video of the "svenska alphabetet" ur a great teacher!! thnx

  • You are amazing! I'm so glad I found this treasure trove of a resource! Tack!

  • @robotentity Wow, thank you so much - what a lovely comment you've left me! :)

  • lol the swedish alphabet is not difficult to learn because is like the portuguese alphabet with accent and i'm portuguese

  • the pronunciation of the letters B, C, and D reminds me the people of Porto ( one city of Portugal)

  • @ASofiy Oh, is that so? That's great. I am glad that you're here to Go Swedish me with and everyone else a part of my channel. How wonderful is this?

  • Why do the letters have to get ready are they going out to town for the night?

  • Cute voice! ;))

  • I can't bloody say R, does it still count if I don't do that wierd thing when you say it?

  • @asparadog

Just say the mexican "R" like ARRRIIBA!!! and you good to go

  • @Grattisbaby I still cant say it

  • thank u a lot, like ur voice and explanations ;)

  • if it was a mans voice... it would be so phcking boring...

lady's voice rules... specially at the end... I wanna "GO SWEDISH" with you "OH YEAH" lol... =P

thanks for the lessons... really nice, im in sweden and now that i got used to the way they talk its easy to learn exactly what they are talking.

  • in all seriousness if you have an iphone and want an amazing swedish language app then the goswedish app is an absolute bargain and awesome learning tool.

    du är bäst :)

  • @b0ilhawk Your comment is absolutely wonderful to read. How happy you've made me today. Thank you so much for your lovely and kind words. I appreciate it more than you may know. :)

  • What I'm hearing: Ah (like in porn), Bear, See ya, Deer, Ear, F, Gear, Whore (or Woah) etc...

  • @toomanyrainbows Okay. Thanks for telling me. However, I can't understand how anyone can hear whole words. There's no "see ya" in "C" and you can't possibly hear "Whore" when I say "H" because then you need to hear all those letters being pronounced and I don't pronounce any "R" in "H" - If you repeat your own alphabet so many times you will also hear different things. It saddens me a bit that people keep hearing words when I pronounce the alphabet. I definitely failed this video.

  • @GoSwedish It's like the British pronunciation of those words, which doesn't pronounce the R.

  • bara bra, tack sa mycket prinsessa,

  • @b0ilhawk Varsågod - You're more than welcome, dear.

  • @GoSwedish just downloaded your apps on the iphone :) bara bra

  • @b0ilhawk Oh, really?! That's so kind. I appreciate it so much. I'd very much appreciate a review in the app store if you don't mind? Thank You for telling me you got it! :D

  • @GoSwedish review has been added prinsessa haha. ha det bra. pusspuss

  • Which language is harder to learn? Swedish od Norwegian?

  • @dekishaSERBIA I believe that Norweigan in the most commonly spoken form bokmål is about the same level of difficulty as standard Swedish and vice versa. The conservative Nynorsk however is harder because of more complicated grammar inherited from old norse.

  • @dekishaSERBIA From what I've read, it's Norwegian. But Danish is the hardest of the three main scandinavian languages.

  • @BrainiacN5 You're right. Danish is quite difficult. I'm Swedish but cannot seem to understand Danish - only a few words - which sound Swedish to me. Norwegian is easier if you know Swedish because now during this terrible tragedy in Norway - we have the Norwegian news on television directly from there and I understand it. It's so sad what's happened in Norway.

  • someone here that is swedish? I am!

  • -_- i'll make sure i study them,but i have aquestion can i have ur email? :D

  • nice I loved the sound of R .... ARRRRRRRRRRRRR :))

    Thanks

  • @masoumehr ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! (:

  • an asian teaching swedish baha

  • @ChaniiDiamond: The poster is clearly Swedish. Having a foreigner teaching a language can be problematic for pronunciation reasons but this person is not a foreigner no matter what you may assume from their appearance...

  • @ChaniiDiamond I'm not Asian, dear. I am full Swedish. Born and raised in Sweden. Both my mother and father are full Swedish. Do you have anything against Asian people? It really does annoy me how there is always going to be someone saying something stupid or even so mean - Why must everything be so perfect? It is very difficult to strive for perfection and I already work SO hard on my video lessons which is why it takes so long to upload new ones. I personally think my English is fine.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh don't take that comment personal, I'm sure he said that because you have a soft voice with a little accent that could be related to an asian voice, but your videos are extremely interesting, you sound nice and sweet and it's obvious that you worked hard at it. Don't worry I'm sure a lot of people think the same (but every comments can't be positive, it's a common reality on youtube, still you did a great work!) (btw, you may have seen my comment twice, I made two mistakes so I redid it)

  • @ChaniiDiamond fuck offf

  • @ChaniiDiamond är du bög

  • @SweLollipop Tack. :)

  • jag kan saga det svenska alfabetet nu! :D

  • 3:38

The reason I would never be able to learn Swedish.

  • The person talikng sounds so friendly that it is kind of creepy.

  • @amylea122 Really, is that so? *shivers*

  • @Hammerik maybe its just the way she talks! maybe she has an accent! think about it!

  • @vampiress364

It is not an accent dear vamp! I'm Swedish. I know my language. Knowledge of language is part of my job. If it's "just the way she talks", she should definitely stop teaching. She is misleading other people with her weird way of speaking.

I have traveled all over Sweden, and I've heard all kinds of accents and dialects, and i can assure you that no one talks this way. It is not an accent or a dialect, it's only a weird bad habit.

  • @Hammerik What is wrong with her swedish? She is speaking normal swedish in my ears and im born in sweden.

  • @1337Figaro

I already explained that, so i don't see any reason to repeat it again. If u can read, you already know it. You're not stupid Mr Christoffer Figaro

  • @Hammerik -_-
