the slim has a built in wireless adapter so you don't need to buy. You only need an adapter if you have an old xbox 360.

@MrClamSmaka I have a similair problem. I have the 250GB Slim, and I have a wireless router. The 360 can find my router, but I notice it says Wireless Mode-Not Connected in the settings. The Slim does have the built in WiFi, but I can't seem to connect. I believe it is due to the Wireless Mode-Not Connected issue. My router is pretty far away, and I don't think an Ethernet Cable would be long enough. I don't know what to do.

I was playing Halo 3 with my Xbox 250 GB once and suddenly it started to make a noise like (ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ) Lol, I quit the game checked the CD and It was scratched, i tried to play another game, everything was perfect until one hour passed the same noise came up again, Any clue what might cause this problem?

@8o7aa Thanks. That happened to my xbox as well but that was only because I picked it up or moved it a bit. When the disk is spinning you can't move your xbox because it will scratch the disk. If you haven't touched it and its making that noise, it means that there is something wrong with your disk drive. I would send it back with warranty and get a new one. Depending on how long ago you got the xbox, you can take it back to where you got it or send it into microsoft.

@Thecrazedchild3 on the controller press the middle xbox button.. that will bring up the guide and then you scroll over left to where it says redeem.. you enter the xbox live code there. you have to have a gamertag with an xbox live account before you can play online

@rohr97 unfortunately this cannot work with a computer but someone has probably "hacked" it to allow it to work on a pc but you don't want to do that...especially when the price is around 70 dollars. you could go to walmart or futureshop and grap a wireless usb stick for your pc that only costs around 20-30 dollars. so i would just do that.
