Minnie was singing long before she met Stevie(she recorded 6 LPs w/Rotary Connection, several singles w/the Gems etc) so she was no stranger to the bizness..She may not have been well known to the public b4 Lovin U, but trust me, Minnie was well-known by the industry. She was a protege of the late great genius Charles Stepney who after producting(The Dells Etc) at Chess Records became instrumental in the development of Earth, Wind and Fire b4 his death in 1976
