We can help to save rainforests, if we find out why they are being destroyed and make an effort to change it. If enough people get together and make awareness then we can prevent the destruction of rain forests. For example in Borneo and the island of Sumatra the rain forests are being destroyed and many species are being killed as a consequence, classic example being the Orang-utan! So the reason for this destruction is palm oil, this is found in many of out every day items in supermarkets.

Do remember that the rainforest is a bountiful resource and can help poor third world countries to develop. They need to use that resource to help there economies grow and to save lives. Most of the oxygen we breath is not from the rainforests at all but from blue-green algae. The seas are the lungs of the world not the forests. I love forests but there is still alot of rainforest left in the world, and its not like trees cant be replanted.
