These guys weren't really working with each other here. Both probably got too political backstage, so at this point there must have been a seething hatred between the two, hence the stiffness of the match. I don't know why, after he went to WCW Hall was pretty much a job guy. The only match I can remember him winning post Razor Ramon was Wargames. Sucks, Hall was one of my favorites. Also sucks to see Austin so far down the card.

@jackiedegracia - I agree w/ everything you said here. I read there was tension between the entire locker-room and Hogan, Hall, and Nash. It was supposed to be SCSA vs Hogan but the 2 couldn't agree on a finish. Hogan is deeply insecure and secretly jealous of SCSA. Instead, we got the cRock vs the Huckster at 'mania X8. Vince was grooming Lesnar to replace Austin around this time anyway and Austin could see the writing on the wall. It's the real reason he walked out the next night on Raw...

Anyone notice the pop Scott Hall got when he signaled for the Razor's Edge? And I don't think those "Razor" chants were filtered in via the sound system.

@JulesGunn Not sure I understand. Austin was mad that he wasn't headlining a wrestlemania? Or mad Hogan couldn't agree with him on a finish? I don't think the match would have worked betweenj Austin's limidations due to his injuries (the reason he works stiff) and Hogan's lacking repertiore. Their combined charisma wouldn't carry that match.

it's sad hall is so fucked up on drugs now, but i'm glad he still had his moment in the spotlight here. if you look at part 1, he'd absolutely fly through the ring on irish whips.

but aside from bret, no one could sell a stunner like scott could. he was always in the top 5 for me as far as selling/entertainment value went.

it's funny steve couldn't sell a stunner for shit, even though it was his move. hah.

and god damn, jack doan at 2:21 went 3/4th across the ring! hahah. that was awesome.
