I'm training at LMFP right now, I'm on the big hill. Now they have some quad runners with little trailers to bring you and the glider to the top of the hills.
*then* hanggliding was still just fun - we did not even try to stay in the air, were not unhappy because the thermals were too narrow or too weak - we just flew. My first little "flight" was 10 ft high, and I'll never forget *that* feeling.... I really could fly!
Since, too many of us tried to compete with gilder planes, fly faar away and veery high, and lost view of the early fun, later stopped, or moved on to different aircraft.
I remember flying from the "big hill" and hearing Thor yelling WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCKKKK!!!!! every time one of us nosed a landing...sigh, those were the days.

Should we go back to basic hanggliding?

...looked like a 'no-wind' day; gliders
seemed to always go exactly where pilots
wanted them to. a good show!
