Dean is Ben's dad, whether it's his genes or not. Ben sees him as a dad, and Dean sees him as a son. I really think he should have been allowed to go back and see Ben even after he and Lisa split up, because there was obviously something between him and Ben.

... to watch Dean as a dad was just heart-wrenching!

I never liked Lisa I felt like Dean was just really vulnerable and desperate. Lisa and Ben were an instant easy family I would have liked them to take a different route for Dean developing a relationship. So glad she is gone.

i think it's hard to like lisa 'cause we know so little about her... i mean, it's difficult to feel sympathy for a character when all you know about her is that she's a yoga instructor, mom and dean likes her.

Oh I so love this scene. You tell him Lisa! I so LOVE her she is the best thing to ever happen to Dean and I want to see them together in the end. And uh I disagree that a family isn't 'Dean' it's totally Dean. Family has always meant everything to him since he was a little boy. All he's ever wanted was to be a family and IMO that includes Lisa and Ben. They ARE his family as much as John and Sam are.
