@Mateyhv1 This is a quick and really great mod. I just finished mine. One front and one rear green power LED, and orange backlight that works only if the main switch and backlight switch are on. What you're talking about as a whole other ball game. A lot more "tweaking"...

@Uniballerjimmy You can get those from RC Nitro fuel tubings.I cut away some from my old 1/8 RC nitro buggy car :)

Just remember dont do this mod in the uk (maybe in countrys as well) if you carry out any modding to your TX then you could invalidate your insurance.

Doing the small mod on the futaba 9c where by putting the spectrum modual cable in the case is against BMFA insurance and will be illiegal.

But good mod though

I don't really need lights on my DX7 because I keep my eyes on my heli but I can use an inactivity alarm or cutoff circuit. I occasionally and accidentally leave my tx on. Is this possible?

oh btw...good job lol....and on my last note...why do my m11 and z1 have a backlight and this doesnt...just doesnt make sense is all...we have to go cutting into our $400 radios to see the screen...

I really need help...not sure who to go to, but I tried adding a backlight to my DX7 and now the FET aboard the transmitter board gets hot.

I also can't seem to get it to bind, I'm really worried.

yess,, I remove its (not used) , may be I not enough sand grit on plastic 3mm but i not sure how many of thick size plasic when i sand it??

Is its should 2mm or more? plastic 's thick.

U misunderstood,juz sand the front & back surface to make the light diffuse only.If the bracket removed,should be fit perfectly by using the correct dimension cut.Pls check properly when put it into place.

ok. so i cut 80mmX50mm (thick 3mm)

i lay down plastic sheet first into front cover of DX7 then for LCD (remove foil reflex already) to follow.

but its thick , i can't fit 2 screw of PCB lcd &switch board ,, by my guess i think should less than 3mm :) for make both to fit.

Thank a lot again b'coz i hear good sound for you will make vdo assemble & MOD for share. (if you have times) during this i will try another way.

I cut 81mm X 50mm,it is a perfect size.U have to remove the plastic bracket that holds the LCD module.There r 4 screws to tight the LCD PCB,2 screws r unused after removing the bracket.I hope I have time to upload the tutorial video.Since my project is done,I need time to dissembly...will provide informations if any Qs again :)

Thks.I put the LEDs on the top side of the acrylic plate.Place the LEDs far away from the LCD unit will get wider diffusing degree.

You can probably get the transparent acylic from advertisement shop,look for 3mm thickness,its perfect fit into DX7.Sand it with fine grit abrasive.You've to remove the DX7 LCD bracket before u do the mod...
