what i do is i get in the car and run down all the hunters then find the strider and use the magnusson device on the back to take the strider down. try it i dunno though so good luck

All the assholes with their rockets can't take the hunters down but Gordon Freeman can with the remains of a Dodge Challenger, I love it!

tip: run the hunters over or use the logs laying around to hit them(2 hits kill one hunter, or 1 hit with its explosive ammo on it kills one hunter)

the three legged robots are hunters they stabbed alyx earlier in the game its best to kill them with a double shotgun blast first the striders don't really attack other wise, then stick the strider bomb onto them, makes life so much easier

Something to point out is that it's a fools errand to try and use a Magnusson with Hunters around. Something to do with their presence makes it impossible to keep one on a Strider. Hunters go first, then make the Strider go kablooey...
