  • There is no slavery involved in this obviously you don't no God

  • Your video lacks anti-aliasing! Hahhahaha

  • what would you do in 300 BC, when an enemy tribe wants to exterminate your town, and sell your friends and family as slaves. If you protect your town and defeat your enemy tribe, what would you do with the prisioners and their familes?

  • @fundie2008 what would jesus do?

  • Anyone who watches this video today should know that the verses the woman reads are not relating to slavery at all. Clearly, this woman is a spot-on example of selective reading whether due to ignorance or maliciousness. The passages relate to vow breaking. God, understanding that people are sometimes rash or that circumstances often change in a way that would make the person wish that had not made a vow to God or in someway reverse their vow. God gives them the means to redeem that vow.

  • @onlyonechoice do enlighten us... what are the verses about the worth of human property referring to?

  • God is a genocidal murderers,

  • Slavery, a hierarchy of compulsive duties and obligations enforced by the threat of or actual punishment is the metaphor for human relations in all the religions based on the Old Testament, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. The religious apologists for this claim it is some sort of loving caring slavery, what ever that might mean. Thanks for posting

  • it is what it is. the Buy Bull.

  • You can't 'prove' the rejection of an assertion you helmet...

  • and now atheism is a religion .fuck that shit. i mean really.

  • If you're going to study the bible you might as well read the entire thing so you can understand it within it's context. I mean no offense I just see someone who's answering questions when they should be asking them.

  • @davitodude if you are reading the Super Mario video games manual you might as well read the entire thing so you can understand the game within its context.

  • I don't think slavery in the biblical culture was the same as slavery today. It was more of a caste system like you would find in India today.

In many instances people would sell themselves into slavery to pay off debts. I'm just saying it's not exactly the same as African-American or Jewish slaves where there was a real bigotry towards people.

In a sense you go to work and have a boss. You serve this person and therefore are their slave. Of course that analogy isn't perfect.

  • Lets not forget the religion of atheism that has slaughtered 250 million in the last 100 years alone.

  • @afar1 ?? your comment is totally false in 2 respects,

    1. atheism is not a religion

    2. 250 million people have NOT been slaughtered in the NAME of atheism , such as they have in the name of Christianity .

Warp facts all you want but deep inside u know the truth and no one but yourself can question what u seem to feel is fact except yourself. Delusions almost always seem real to the delusional.

  • @Brianchse

    1.Atheism is a religion

2.Atheists have slaughtered more innocent people in 1 week than the inquisition had in 300 years.

3.Maybe if you put Bulls on Parade on pause and quit scratching your gooch with a carrot pealer, you could put together a coherent sentence.

  • @afar1 Atheism is NOT a religion, it is a lack of belief IN god, only religious nutcases such as yourself claim it to be a religion. No atheist has ever said that it is a religion, only believers in god deem it so.

As to atheist slaughtering more people in the name of atheism than christians did in the name of christianity, i challenge you to find me even one instance of that.

  • @Brianchse "Atheism is NOT a religion"-Atheism is a religion just ask the judges panel on the United States Supreme court. Your group is the largest group of fundies that ever walked Gods green earth.Atheists have slaughtered more innocent people in 1 week than the inquisition had in 300 years. Check your world history and start with Stalin and Pol Pot. The worst atheist mass murderers in history.

  • @afar1 Stalin did NOT kill people in the name of atheism!! He just happened to be one, Hitler however who was a devout Christian did kill millions but not in the name of Christianity, but he was catholic so we should blame the Christians right? Your logic fails. More people in the time of this earth have been killed in the NAME read again NAME of religion than any atheist could ever dream of killing.

  • @Brianchse All atheist dictators were murderers. Its part and parcel for the religion.

  • @afar1 and exactly how many atheist dictators can you name? Bet i can name more religious dictators who did a lot more killing then you can name atheists ;) I can even quote from the bible of mass killings ordered by your god.. You are so brainwashed with information that has no evidence to back it up that you cant see the truth. Which i guess is the whole point of religion in the first place. I will be glad to see religious fanatics like you gone from this earth. Then we can all move forward.

  • @Brianchse "Bet i can name more religious dictators who did a lot more killing then you can name atheists "

    Callout! tick tick tick

  • @afar1 Mark of Arethusa,Christian Emperor Theodosius,Humphrey Gilbert,pope Urban II,,Emperor Karl (Charlemagne) in 782 had 4500 Saxons, unwilling to

convert to Christianity, beheaded.Battle of Belgrad 1456 80,000 Turks slaughtered.Jerusalem conquered 7/15/1099 more than 60,000 victims.*Battle of Askalon, 8/12/1099. 200,000 heathens slaughtered "in the

name of Our Lord Jesus Christ". Rest of Crusades in less detail until the fall of Akkon 1291

around 20 million victims (in the Holy land alone)

  • @Brianchse Khmer Rouge 4.8 million 1975-1979

Maoist and Stalinist regimes, it now seems the high end of estimates of 250 million dead (between 1900-1987) are closer to the mark.

  • @afar1 IN THE NAME OF ATHEISM!???? Stalin did NOT kill people in the name of NOT BELIEVING IN GOD! Like Christians have done for over 2000 years!

  • @afar1 (continued) pope Innocent III -20,000-70,000 killed in the name of the Lord. subsequent 20 years of war until nearly all Cathars (about half the population of the Languedoc, today southern France) were

exterminated ( number of casualties unknown). After the war ended (1229) the Inquisition was founded 1232 to search and destroy surviving/hiding heretics. Last Cathars burned at the stake 1324. *Estimated one million victims.

  • @Brianchse Atheisms body count Khmer Rouge 4.8 million 1975-1979

Maoist and Stalinist regimes, it now seems the high end of estimates of 250 million dead (between 1900-1987) are closer to the mark.

  • @afar1 Again you are counting people who killed and happened to be Athiest, NOT people who killed in the NAME of atheism! You do know that if i go by your standards of counting the dead that the count goes MUCH MUCH higher for people killed by Christians right? That means i can count EVERY war not lead by an athiest over the last 2000 years where a Christian was involved. I didnt though i mentioned only ones where they killed in the NAME of Christianity! Unlike you did. Pwned AGAIN! LOL

  • @afar1 (continued) 15th century Crusades against Hussites, thousands slain.1572 In France about 20,000 Huguenots were killed on command of pope Pius V. 17th century 30 years' war (Catholic vs. Protestant) at least 40% of population decimated, mostly in Germany.1942-1943 also in Croatia existed numerous extermination camps, run by Catholic Ustasha under their dictator Ante Paveliç (between 300,000 and 600,000 executed) --- This list is way to long, i could never mention them all I will stop there

  • @Brianchse Pavelić's regime was not recognized by the Vatican, and he was a Nazi sympathizer.

The Huguenots was a civil war.No slaughter.

Atheism has killed far more innocent people than any other religion could ever hope to exterminate. 250 milion in 100 years. Everything else pales in comparison to the religion of atheism.

    pwned again.

  • @afar1 Huguenots were killed because they would not convert to Christianity! If thats a civil war, wow your ignorant! Also nothing compares to your god extinguishing nearly ALL life on this planet as your bible says, and you being a believer have to accept that. Plus all the killings he supposedly ordered after that time. Your own god is a mass murderer LOL. Yeah pwned AGAIN! damn kids, fools all of you!

  • @Brianchse " Huguenots were killed because they would not convert to Christianity! "

Bullshit, learn your history. It was a civil war that they instigated. I'd accept your apology, except I know it to be as empty as your head, checking account and little black book. Guaranteed you will spam again.

  • @afar1 It seems you are counting every murder on the planet that was committed by an atheist. Well im sure if i counted every murder on the planet that was committed by a religious fanatic it would be more then 10 times that of the killings by atheists. One more thing, you notice how spell check wants you to capitalize the word Christian yet doesnt for atheist, thats because its not a religion! Its just a word used for people who dont believe in god! Pull yer head out man!

  • @Brianchse "murder on the planet that was committed by an atheist. "

If anyone would reread my post they would see that your strawman fails. Atheism is a religion, ask the judges panel of the United States Supreme Court. You atheists are the worst bnunch of fundies to ever walk the Earth.

  • @afar1 Again your delusional, and as usual talking to a fanatic like yourself is useless, good day!

  • @Brianchse Don't worry Wanker, nothing ever gets me down, but thanks for your concern and yes the humorless attempted abuse might get someone down if it didn't bore them to death first.

You'd scare a male model to death.

  • @afar1 Did you just call me a wanker?Must be a britt, figures. You spout words but they mean nothing because you have absolutely nothing to back them up with. Ever heard of a guy named Christopher Hitchens? He debates the best religious fanatics of all religions and destroys their so called logic EVERY time. Why? Because religion is a load of crap with no substance, its hard to defend something with absolutely NO evidence, which is what you have. Now please show your ignorance and insult me again.

  • @Brianchse Hitchens the corpse to be lost a great debate with Pastor Ravi Zacharias.Pnwned very badly at that.Shut the hell up you whiney bitch. While I do agree you do need to stop being so stupid,I mean stop now!

And by "stop" I mean "Kill yourself". This isn't Christmas dinner, child. If you don't like your dysfunctional family, you are by no means required to stay and bare witness to your abuse.

  • Comment removed

  • @Brianchse Zacharias is not a jew you dolt. Kill yourself. It's the atheist destiny.

  • @afar1 Oh sorry, Hitchens owned so many religious fanatics i mixed them up. I have watched all of Hitchens debates and not a single one did he lose. Actually it is religion that is dying, and as time goes on it will fade out as bullshit. Just like the gods Loki, Odin, Baldor, Zeus, and the thousands of others that were considered just as real in their time as your god is to you. So cling while you can, but know, your gods time is limited just as theirs was. :)

  • @Brianchse You mean your priest hitchens the corpse to be had gotten owned.I've started several threads, here. Let me assuage that notion of yours that it results from any social difficulties. It's the price you pay for coming into the forum and acting like an ass. See? You come off like an ass and recieve an anti-social response. Personal awareness! It's what's for dinner.

  • @afar1 If your god is so great and so powerful, his existence should be very easy to at least show some evidence for? but of course there isnt even a shred of that.

Please re read your last comment and tell if that doesnt sound like the ramblings of a 13 year old boy, mad because he knows he is wrong but has too much pride to admit it. ;) haha

  • @Brianchse The best thing about rattling cages, is watching the chimps go crazy You're trying too hard with wanting to be flamed.. You're about 2000 years too late with "your" brilliant idea.I have seen dogs with more cleverness and clarity of thought.

  • @afar1 You have failed to even answer any questions or deny or refute anything i have challenged against your god. If your case is so cut and dry why do you find it so hard to explain it? Jesus was one thing, he was the most famous con artist that ever lived, yet there isnt even any evidence that he even DID live, yet you follow him like a sheep to slaughter. There are many many religions in the world, dont you ever wonder why none of you can even agree on which is the right one?

  • @Brianchse You stupid bellboy, what makes you think that you are in any position to demand anything when your job is to carry luggage, and to put a stupid, servile smile while waiting for the tip?

  • @afar1 Your inability to answer even the smallest question shows how weak your position is, and your continuous 3rd grade insults make you look just plain.............retarded?? You claim that your religion is the truth of all truths, well show me some evidence, or shut that man pleaser of yours, cause no one wants to hear information that means nothing, spew from your cock holster! I can throw out stupid insults too see! Pffft damn kids. LOL

  • @Brianchse You're human spam. Know what I've learned from evolutionists? a bunch of theories that dont make sense stacked up against visible, knowable, data. so yeah, you should stop watching these types, and I'll stop watching evolutionists videos, oh wait, Ive never watched a evo.'s video. I would if I wanted to unlearn science and confuse myself and create more questions than answers. LMAO!!

  • @afar1 Keep babbling , you make no sense. So you think we all came from Adam and Eve? Ok so who did Adam and Eve's kids have kids with? You do realize that its impossible for the human race to be derived from 2 people right? Yeah ya see science has proven that little piece.............wait maybe thats whats wrong with YOU! Why didnt i think of it before , im sorry, your the product of inbreeding, now i understand your idiocy. HAHA

  • @Brianchse Talking rocks, breathing dirt, magic monkeys. You keep your faith brother...I'll take science. Oh...and the word you're obviously looking for is "you're" and not "your". That obsessive people insist on getting in my face to show how little they know and wind up making total asses of themselves.

  • @afar1 again you dont answer any questions and try to turn it into a spelling B, I am the one who believes in science, you believe in what primitive man wrote 2000 years ago and call it truth. Yeah thats science all right. The miracles the bible talks about (magic) a cheap parlor magician can do. THEY MUST BE GODS! Holy shit i think David Blaine is a god! He can do 10x the miracles Jesus ever did! He must be a Super god! LOL your beliefs are laughable!

  • @afar1 Then show me, make an ass of me, show me your evidence and make me eat my words! You havent even tried to defend anything i have said, you talk gibberish, and quite honestly im getting bored with your idiocy.

  • @Brianchse What evidence do you have that atheism is true and correct. Let's boogie...10 words or less. No rewording...no answering with a question...........:What evidence do you have that atheism is true and correct.

  • @afar1 What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. (11 words) <----- There ya go, you are the one who is making claims to know everything. You truly do not know what atheism is do you? Atheism is the disbelief in ANY god! We do not claim to know what happens after death, or that there is a supreme being controlling everything. We use real evidence to make decisions, not a story with nothing to back it up. Now same to you, in 11 words convince me you are right..

  • @afar1 I am not the one that needs to prove anything as i am not the one who is asserting that something is true! Athiesim AGAIN is not a belief in something, its a DISBELIEF in the assertion you make with NO evidence! You are the one who has the burden of proof NOT ME! What you are asking would be like me asking you to show evidence that santa clause isnt real.

  • @Brianchse

    Hitler's 11 million dead:

    Mao's 70 million dead:

    Stalin's purges kill 61 million

From 1900-1987 over 250 million dead through Atheism's grasp for domination

  • @afar1 Hitler was a Catholic you fool! Easily verifiable, Ever use google? Look up his own words on god and what he is fighting for in Mein Kampf.

Mao did NOT kill in the name of atheisim, he killed because he was a nut case!

Stalin killed because in his nutcase mind he figured he was doing his people a favor because he couldnt feed them, NOT because he was trying to impose his non religious views on them! Learn your history, you are grasping at straws here now. LOL OWNED AGAIN!

  • @Brianchse 13th December, 1941, midnight: Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery.... .... When all is said, we have no reason to wish that the Italians and Spaniards should free themselves from the drug of Christianity. Let's be the only people who are immunised against the disease. (Adolph Hitler)

Keep lying for your father satan you reprobate

  • @afar1 "Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord." -Hitler

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter." - Hitler

  • @Brianchse 27th February, 1942, midday:

It would always be disagreeable for me to go down to posterity as a man who made concessions in this field. I realize that man, in his imperfection, can commit innumerable errors-- but to devote myself deliberately to errors, that is something I cannot do. I shall never come personally to terms with the Christian lie. Our epoch Uin the next 200 yearse will certainly see the end of the disease of Christianity. My regret is I couldn't - Hitler

  • @afar1 I see nothing in that sentence that says he is an atheist? It just states, and out of context i may add, that he believes something within the Christian religion is a lie?? I do not see him saying he is a non believer?

Also as my previous two quotes have stated, he obviously IS a believer in god. So i believe my initial statement that Hitler was a Christian is still valid as he states he is numerous times in Mein Kampf.

  • @Brianchse Maybe I just don't know how to speak your native E-language….retardese Here, you go , I will converse with you in the old tongue.

    ..-. ..- -.-. -.- / -.-- --- ..-

  • @afar1 One more piece of undeniable evidence is the fact that ALL military under Hitler wore a belt buckle that read "Gott mit uns" ("God is with us") Again this is easily verifiable.

So you can claim he was an atheist all you want, but the EVIDENCE says he wasnt. Also he NEVER claimed to be an atheist, yet DID claim to be a Christian. So im not sure how you expect me to believe what you claim?

  • @Brianchse "You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japaneses, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to use than Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?"-Adolph Hitler

  • @afar1 August 26, 1934, Hitler said: "National Socialism neither opposes the Church nor is it anti-religious, but on the contrary it stands on the ground of a real Christianity . . . For their interests cannot fail to coincide with ours alike in our fight against the symptoms of degeneracy in the world of today, in our fight against a Bolshevist culture, against atheistic movement, against criminality, and in our struggle for a consciousness of a community in our national life . LOL Checkmate!

  • @Brianchse In Hitler’s words “the heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity” (Hitler, 1953, p. 6). The Jesuits were “swine,” and all of Christianity was “Jewish Christianity” which was comparable with “Jewish Bolshevism.” Hitler concluded that both were evil and both had to be destroyed (Kershaw, 2000, pp. 330, 488). LOL! Youre stoooopid :0)

  • @afar1 LOL and of course i could quote him saying the exact opposite and HAVE, but i am growing tired of your seeming reluctance to admit he wasnt an atheist, as he never once in any of your quotes said he was, yet he DID say he was a Christian.

But again i ask you to respond to my question below where i gave examples of how you think everyone should believe, the one where you challenged me to show evidence of no go, and i replied??? Scared? Bring it kid! ;)

  • @Brianchse “My overall motivation is to help hasten the day when all religions will become extinct. I view them as being very harmful to society and to individuals. Their irrational nature allows for the justification of any belief and atrocity. After all, if the God of Christianity commits murder, torture, genocide, and advises cannibalism (still practiced today in the Eucharist), what is so terrible about killing a few more thousand people in a god’s name? Hitler 1953

  • @afar1 Even Hitler knew Christianity was a terrible thing haha. It seems you have kicked you own ass once again.

  • @afar1 dtop making a fool out of yourself, Adolf Hitler was catholic and was heavily supported by the catholic church, including the pope at the time.

Lying is a deadly sin you know... or do you ?

  • @ExcaliburClan Speaking of fools were you even aware that Hitler was a volkish pagan, and never supported by the catholic church.

Now where is your evidence that atheism is accurate and correct.

  • @afar1 Where is your evidence that Christianity is accurate and correct? Still waiting.

  • @afar1 Adolf Hitler was Catholic, as was his mother and father, check your sources.

  • @ExcaliburClan Hitler was a volkish pagan so re-check your sources.13th December, 1941, midnight:

Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery.... .... When all is said, we have no reason to wish that the Italians and Spaniards should free themselves from the drug of Christianity. Let's be the only people who are immunised against the disease. (p 118 & 119)

  • @Brianchse Mao and Stalin were all marxist atheists. You keep living in your fantasy world though. I'll take the truth from history and facts.

  • @afar1 Also i notice you didnt respond to my challenge below, but of course i dont expect you to because in reality all you have is faith, not evidence. Good luck kid! :)

  • @afar1 Another example- Scientist A says to scientist B, there are 10 polka dotted elephants roaming the forests of Africa, Scientist B says "where is your evidence" Scientist A says " show me evidence there isnt"

So afar1, the way you are saying things are ,is if someone cant show evidence that something isnt real then it MUST be real! LOL!!! Real scientific there! Your a joke! So again i ask, show me your evidence, and you can use as many words as you want! ;) good luck!

  • I would sooo fuck this chick

  • @psychostalker95 Youd fuck a dog also.

  • @MultisoundX - Well there's an intelligent comment? ^_-

1). No offence, but writing in all caps really makes you look stupid.

2). And whether this is meant to be funny or not, it isn't? O_o

3). I do have a sense of humour before anyone says, such as the greatness that is South Park, which regularly makes fun of nonsensical ideas on both sides. (y) ^_^

  • The passage that the lady in this video uses in another video (Lev 27:1-8) talks about "dedication to the LORD", which is distinct. This is not slavery. Everyone has unlimited value to God, but not to men. Employment is a good example where a value is placed on a person. This seems similar - employment by the Temple. Or perhaps the idea of monk-hood. I am happy to discuss other verses which actually talk about slavery, but this passage from a fact-based perspective, does not talk about slavery.

  • @Amos1910 Excuses and more excuses..

  • @DocStrange0123 - I think not. It doesn't take a hatful of brains to see this passage isn't about slavery. It's taking it way out of its original context. You're not seeing the "facts" here, which is that in the original Hebrew this verse was about dedicating yourself to the Lord, say in the same way a monk or priest or preacher chooses to. God loves everyone, saint and sinner, black and white, man and woman. He hates slavery. If he didn't, why would Wilberforce (a Christian) try to abolish it?

  • @DocStrange0123 - I know I hate trafficking, and have tried to help charities that combat this modern and brutal form of slavery, though it's hard when you're only sixteen and not yet a breadwinner in the household you live in. I don't know what background you come from, but perhaps if you care this much about slavery try fighting it instead of making people who love and believe in God feel bad? Because it's without any solid understanding of Hebrew language and culture; factually inaccurate.

  • @Amos1910 Believe what you want, I don't care, but what it's written there it's written there, the Bible and the Old testament have no problem with slavery, get over it or ignore it, do what you please.

  • i am agnostic,

    you won't inform me,

    you will persuade me .

you read one paragraph, to persuade me to become anti jesus christ you'll need to make sense of all parts in the new testament written on slavery .

  • As I studied science it led to an interest in space and evolution and other things, I have more peace now because no conflict, I am a kind person, I give to charity I help friends in need and I know without believing in the 10 commandments what is right, it is wrong to kill or hurt others, to steal or take what is not mine, to lie for personal gain, white lies to spare feelings are fine...Love the life you have quit wasting time on invisible sky fairy.

  • what we have now is slavery also, slavery to money.

  • Interesting, what they're doing here is setting up a price cap. This way merchants could argue that they couldn't possibly pay more than fifty shekels for a male slave of the age of 21, but really you should be grateful they are willing to pay that because clearly the slave looks malnourished, and if the seller doesn't accept your price you'll go before a priest who will agree that the price should be 30 at not a sheckel more.

  • Come on, these are the verses you use to address the slavery issue? Not Exodus 21? This is so much more indirect. Also, the Bible permits slavery, yes. But it doesn't necessarily enourage it. It makes rules to govern it, but the Bible was meant to govern all aspects of life. And 5,000 years ago, everyone had slaves. But they're not in vogue anymore, and so there's no obligation to have any in the modern world. Just like polygamy. It may be allowed, but nobody does it.

  • what most people fail to understand is this: God is God. He created EVERYTHING, we did not. We must answer to Him and not He to us. Like it or not, those who do not accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are going to Hell. PERIOD. That is the way it is. No amount of pleading and crying will save you once you have died in your sins. So my freinds, I would get to a Bible believing church and speak with its Pastor ASAP if I were you. The Rapture is coming and you don't want to miss it.

  • @1Heisrisen That rapture.. is that the one yesterday? If you don't respond should I assume you're up in heaven now? Get a grip of yourself.

  • @jamesrands My freind, you cannot lump us all into a large group of eccentrics. It is unfortunate that Harold Camping is not going by what the Bible teaches.

  • Comment removed

  • @AgentCROCODILE There are a lot of crazy people in the world. A true christian church does not behave as the Westboro Baptist does. Besides we could go round and round over who is doing what to whom, it would NEVER end. Jesus levels ALL playing fields. Yes He hates sin but not the sinner. Yes He did not make for a man to lie down with another man (or woman). Yes people will burn in Hell if they don't repent and accept the Lord Jesus into their hearts. It is that simple, my freind.

  • Comment removed

  • @AgentCROCODILE Indeed, I am. I am not perfect; I make plenty of mistakes like everyone else, but I am forgiven.

  • Comment removed

  • @AgentCROCODILE My freind, our walk with the Lord differs from person to person, but one thing that is a constant is that once you invite Him into your heart, He will remain there and you will have salvation once this life is over. It is most importatn decison you will ever make. Yes, you will still go through trials, but He will always be there to guide you. This life is temporary, but life everlasting is forever.

  • Comment removed

  • @AgentCROCODILE I don't know who the Phelps family is, but I am speaking for myself and my family. Once Jesus has made a home in your heart, your thoughts and feelings will change because He will work in you. My freind, my point of view is this: I would rather be bored for eternity than be tortured and burned all day, EVERYDAY without end but I see your point of view ( and I felt the same way at one point) but I learned more about Heaven and it won't be as you think. It will be beyond compare.

  • Comment removed

  • @AgentCROCODILE This Phelps family is way off. Their message and the way they present it is wrong and hurtful and destructive. We (Christians) are taught to speak the truth in love, not attack and malign people, but they are right about God is not happy about homosexual relationships. God loves the sinner but not the sin. The picketing around funerals is evil period. They are sinning also. A true Christian is by no means perfect, but we try our best to follow Jesus.

  • @1Heisrisen Concept of Hell is way older then the story of Jesus or OT, but let us say that some christians finally did as atheists want and proved that God is real with undeniable proof. Then this God told me that I must worship him or be tormented forever. Then I would say and I quote myself here.." You are a Tyrant and by the very nature of your threat you are unworthy to be worshiped by pigs let alone intelligent beings." converting me would be pointless cause I would still burn in hell.

  • @robtay1963 My freind, it is how you say. God is not willing that all should perish (go to hell), so that is why He gave us the greatest Gift to mankind: Our Lord Jesus Christ. He died on the cross for all our sins. ALL YOU NEED DO IS ACCEPT HIM INTO YOUR HEART (sincerely) and turn away from sin and God will do the rest. Trust me on this. It will be the most important decison you will every make in your life. After you have died there won't be another chance. Bless you.

  • @1Heisrisen The problem is christians assume that atheist have not read the bible or have never been christian, but I believe it is the other way around. I was a christian for 35 years, but I have only studied the parts of the bible taught in church and I had questions about those that no minister could answer, but then I started reading lots more of the bible, which led to my becoming and atheists. I heard that men go to seminar to become ministers they come out atheists who use God to get rich

  • @1Heisrisen Another delusional fanatic who believes without any evidence.

"I command you to believe in pink dragons because someone once said they saw one and i of course, i believe it, so you should too."

That is the essence of the bible and your god.

But of course im not delusional, so i dont blindly believe things without some pretty strong evidence. Especially the extraordinary things you believe in the bible.

Keep your faith, i will stay on the side of reason and logic. It serves me well.

  • @Brianchse Good on you mate, I am sure it will serve you well when you are tossed into the lake of fire.

  • @1Heisrisen What lake of fire? How do you KNOW there IS a lake of fire? Thats my point, you believe without evidence, which in turn makes you an IDIOT! With any other claim except for god you would DEMAND some evidence, but with god you just blindly believe. Your logic is non existent. My only regret is that when you die and their is no heaven or hell or afterlife at all, is that you wont even know you were wrong, and wasted your life worshiping a fairy in the sky.

  • @Brianchse All I know is this: since Jesus has made a home in my heart, my life and everything about it has changed for the good. Do I still have bad times? Yes I do. Do I still make mistakes or sin from time to time? You bet. But I have more peace and joy than any other time in my life before I accepted Him. I don't need what the rest of the world needs or wants, i.e. more possesions and trying to keep up with everyone else. It is souless and stupid. Take care my freind..

  • I don't understand it when people use bible quotes to defend, as well as speak for the religion, but when someone uses bible quotes to point out moral issues, like slavery, homophobia, examples of god's childish and morally shattered personality and attitude, they say "Oh, you're taking it too seriously." As if they can quote it literally, verbatim, but we can't.

  • @VintageBalderdash Christians are programmed from the birth to believe the parts the pastor tell them, and so they learn to defend the bad stuff without even hearing there own circular arguments. I was one of them until I became Type two diabetic. God could heal me if faith was strong, my faith got strong, but blood sugar was still high, so I began reading all of the bible and I began to see the evil emerge, so sought science and found peace, still have high blood sugar but now I know why.

  • Yes, Virginia, there was slavery in those days. People hate that. There was slavery 150 years ago in the US also! People hate that too. They also hate that Jesus isnt always "nice". People hate that. People want God and Jesus to be nice all the time. They cant understand why we all just cant be nice all the time. Excuse me, now I have to get back to the real world.

  • Reply to nj09w7: discussion is good but telling lies about Quran cant be considered of good intension. I checked 9:5 (He made the sun light (source of light) and the moon reflector of light) this has nothing to do with slavary or anything in this discussion, moreover, this is a scientific mericle that was not known at the days of Mohammad. 9:25 is about the day of judgement not in this life. some rabys say that humans are created only to serve jews.

  • God sure makes a big deal about kissing his holy behind properly but when it comes to owning humans, he not only condones it but has a price list(how very appropriate for the chosen race). It seems that God allows for the sex and quality of the chattel being traded. Hell, I wonder why the almighty didn't just show up in Egypt with a cart of coinage to buy his chosen people back from pharaoh. He seems pretty savvy at the human trading business.

  • So how much does a 28 year old male cost now adays?

  • How many pieces of silver does it cost to rape a girl in the bible? How badly can slave owners beat their slaves? These are the kind of questions the bible answers.

  • Yes, slavery is mentioned in the Old Testament, as is pederasty mentioned in Plato's dialogues. Neither of them are lists of things to do, but stories, and guidelines for people living at that time. If it said: 'and for all time maintain slavery, even for millenia to come,' I would have more sympathy with your position.

  • @KittenButter This price list comes from God's own mouth. Do you think he would have mentioned that slavery is an offensive sin? God sure made his opinion clear concerning things that offended him. Why leave out slavery? Hmm????

  • What do you think credit is?

  • where all slaves to something

  • yes theres def slavery in the bible. but what you must know is biblical slavery is totaly diff than slavery in past centuries.God does not condone racial or sex or forced slavery. in fact God detests such abominations. Thats why God rescued his people from the egypt.God poured out His holy wrath with 10 plagues cause He hates that form of slavery so much.in th NT doctors and even lawyers would choose to be slaves to pay of debt. ofcourse times have changed but God has not.

  • Thanks God for being a muslim. All humans are equal regaedless of race, colour, or religeon as I learned from Quran. All people are born free according to Islam, For many sins, to ask for forgiveness, we have to free a slave. Thank you God that you guided me to the trueth.

  • @saeedasaeed Iv actually read the quran and it also describes the slavery process. for example how much worth the slave is compared to others and how if someone kills someone else's slave then they should be reimbursed. the quran also fails to promote equality of gender. Also, do read up on the african slave trade conducted by Islam hundreds of years ago. And no, it does NOT promote equality of religion (examples, surah 9:5 and surah 9:29)

  • It would be nice to see that anybody who wants to challenge the bible would take the time to STUDY the facts rather than making up stories based on ignorance.

If you understood what slavery in the bible represented then you would want this to exist today in our twisted society. How ignorant can some of you people really be??

    slavery in the Bible

Watch the video above and find out what the truth and facts are. Then, and only then make a comment.

  • the bible also says that, if you know the truth, the truth will set you free

  • if the bible does condem slavery then how there is a whole section of the bible (Exodus) that tells the story of how God delivered his people out of slavery through the prophet Moses?

  • @RedLangan what i don't understand about religious people is that they will be shown indesputable evidence about negative practices in the bible and in response to this they either try to alter the meaning of it even though its unambiguous or use another passage to contradict the 1 being quoted. The liberation of slaves detailed in the bible in no way shows without a doubt that the bible isn't in support of slavery in situations different to the one you refer to

  • Comment removed

  • Comments are easy to post. How about you provide verses that support your claims. Where exactly does the bible say these things?

  • @mysticgatekeeper Deuteronomy 20:14 is a perfect example. "But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself" That is pretty clear. It says what it means and it means what it says. Go find some loop hole to explain away that verse. That's only one of MANY I mean MANY verses that say slavery is okay.

  • Do you even understand what that verse is saying? Clearly you don't. This is what I mean when I say, people don't research before shooting their mouth off. Here is what the verse is saying:

But the women, the little ones, and the cattle,.... These were to be spared (during WAR) women, because of the weakness of their sex, and subjection to their husbands; and little ones, which take in males as well as females.

What is your point here again? What exactly is "clear" according to you?

  • @mysticgatekeeper It is clear that it's saying u can KEEP people like objects if u conqer them. Text book slavery. If u wanna find proof of slavery in the bible why dont u google the words bible slavery verses. It seems you shoot shit outa ur mouth until someone instructs u to do ur own research. Why are u asking me when you have the internet to do ur research? It's like if i said "the sun is in the sky" and u said "show me proof" and i said "look up" and u said "u look up for me"

  • where are these verses you mention? Provide some and we can examine what they mean.

  • but the thing is it wasn't the slavery of america. It was civil. the word slave has such a negative connotation. in the context of the ancient culture slavery was a way to pay off a debt when you couldn't pay it. you would work it off.

  • @thewookie09

and it gave the owner the right to brutally beat(but not kill) the slave. as long as the slave was able to get up in a few days ,it was ok....so civil....

  • @sabin97 where exactly is that? i'm not familiar with that passage. My point is (and i apologize that it strays from the point of my previous comment a bit) it was a completely different culture. Leviticus has a lot of crazy things in it. I am 100% against slavery. We can see now the negative fruit of slavery and the pain it causes. plus. the old testament is exactly that. its history. laws and facts from an ancient culture. the old testament does not contain the laws for present day christians.

  • @thewookie09

dude, it's been a week, lemme reread....

actually it's not a cultural thing

it's THE WORD OF GOD, THE LAWS OF GOD

actually jesus claims the laws of the old testament are to be kept...., let me find both groups of verses for you...hang on

  • @thewookie09 exodus 21:20-21, i looked it up in several versions and several languages(thanks to biblegateway )

they all say the same thing, beat up your slave as long as he doesnt die it's ok, the slave is your property.

matthew 5: 17 - jesus did not abolish the laws of moses, so they are NOT abolished, so they should be kept.

so jesus agrees with slavery, and treating slaves as property. you can sell them, beat them....just dont kill them and you're ok with god....

    sickening

  • @sabin97 good word man. I definitely have a lot of studying to do..thanks for the reply.

  • @thewookie09

    no problem

    just to clarify

    i'm not really an atheist

i just dont believe the bible is the word of god

i've read proabbly a bit over half of it.....and i find it horrible....

  • @thewookie09 alright cool. Jesus actually doesn't doesn't say the laws of the old testament are to be kept. He came to "fulfill the laws." The whole point of christ is to turn a relationship with God into an actual relationship and not a law following don't do this or that relationship. but i digress. so..it is definitely a cultural thing. Context determines meaning. and a lot of the old testament are the laws of the culture.

  • @thewookie09

according to the bible the laws of moses were given by god

and as we saw jesus didnt abolish them

and if jesus didnt abolish the laws of god, then who did?

if the laws of god were not abolished, arent we supposed to keep following them?

  • @thewookie09 - Yes, indeed Jesus does say "let not a tittle or jot of the old law be changed" ... Of course there's no strong evidence of a Jesus existing beyond myth... Yet, those are the reported words in the NT ... When one is threatened with Hell, it is most certainly a "don't do that" ogre relationship ... It's aborent & immoral .

  • @mgs6ps3 It's the dark side of the Bible (or the Evil Side of Holy Book), Yet Christians ARE IN DENIAL!

  • @flightkiller09 If the perfect word of god says it's okay to beat slaves as long as you dont kill them, that's a clear sign it isnt the word of god.

  • @mgs6ps3 I Agree with you 100%.

  • @mgs6ps3 Most of them just don't give a shit: they read select verses that confirm what they think God is, and ignore the vast majority that show God is simply a projection of the Hebrew elders: callous, intolerant, primitive, and morally backward. These books weren't written by a deity: this is the work of bronze age men.

  • @bernlin2000 Well said.

  • why would atheists be so concerned about the welfare of other members of the species, since morality has no eternal consequences in their perspective? dark side of the force 4 DA WINZ LOL

  • @DracoRaptorX morality has immidiate circumstances. for us and for thise around us,

  • CONTEXT!!!

  • You might want to read a book in the bible. The whole book speaks of only one topic. The topic is a run away slave. Tell me do you even know what book it is? Let us see how long it takes you to figure it out.

  • Read chapter 27:1-8 not chapter 27:3-8

This is not about facts if
