I heard if you have a bad shift on a manual tranny with a supercharger, you blow your engine. I didn't really believe it at first and this video proved it false. Also, what is the cubic inches of that beast?

@shawnkrause871 You can blow it if it isn't built, or if you don't have a rev limiter. A lot of people with these big Carb'd motors don't even use limiters, therefore, they are just askin to blow it up. Just depends on the build setup.

yeah a built auto can shift alot better than you. also at the same spot every time, perfect for drag and being constant but issnt any where near as much fun as banging gears. if i was competitively drag racing auto deff, but other wise 6 gears all the way

You do realize that you can shift without a clutch... Next time you hope in a car listen real close youll hear it hit the rpm to switch gears then while its doing that your loseing rpm.

ask any real mechanic, shifting without the clutch is not a good idea. thats why there's a clutch, especially if the car is a drag car. my th-400 tranny shifts very quick and firm. so firm that i squeel the tires for about 50 feet after it shifts into second.

@imbogfootstrato Manuals are more fun, but Automatics are faster hands down, they shift more precisely than most pro's can with a manual, plus you don't have to let off the gas to shift, so you're always pulling.
