@Fireinthedawn Excellent point and well stated. Thank you for sharing! I think the media sensationalizes polygamist cults and gives polyamorous relationships a bad name. "Traditional" 1 woman, 1 man relationships can be just as abusive and controlling! I agree that it IS possible to love 2+ people equally, maybe in different ways but with equal devotion. Also I think that ANY healthy relationship (polyamorous or not) requires a balance of security and nurturing. Thanks for reading! :)
labels are ultimately frustrating. I had to learn a long time ago my need to be "in a relationship" was getting upset over labels, i trained myself to be ok with what is. although without labels we wouldn't be able to distinguish between things. like when i identify as a "mesbian" , if I didn't have that i don't know how i'd distinguish between myself and macho men. How would i communicate "I am different?"
I am not sure about "polyamory" ....or labels for that matter.....but I believe humans need human touch, and hopefully there will always be someone to give us some loving touch. Hay I mean dogs get pet all day every day.....geeez
