  • fuck trust kill

  • you fucking purists are pussies.. i enjoyed magnetic north as much as i enjoy 7angels 7 plages... or the early misery signals...or job for a cowboy..or bjork.. learn to enjoy music as a whole dont just use it as a fucking contraption to depict fake superiority or elitism.. youre pathetic..

  • @luishomeroremohsiul I agree , except for bjork . . . but yes that is right , , , just because you listen to endthisday doesnt mean you cant like nora joans. . . .

  • you runined both It dies today and Hopesfall

  • fuck you trustkill

  • OK, all these people that say "I've been listening since frailty and everything then was so much better" fuckin get over it. I've been a fan since then, and I have like each album better and better as they came out, they are AMAZING musicians, and joshua brigham was the only original member, but jay was pretty much one too, and the funny thing is no one complains about that gay ass drummer being the only founding member of underoath, Anyway, all of hopesfalls albums are insane, MN being the best

  • I love their drummer...in satellite years he does some really sick stuff.

  • They were going to change the name, but all the shit went down with trustkill and they ended it.

  • I've read so many Hopesfall comments on how they "changed their sound" and how they are "sellouts". Well quite frankly I don't think it is COMPLETELY different from when they started. Sure they don't scream anymore. Sure its not as "hardcore" as they used to sound.

But they have a lot of talent that seems to be discarded and disrespected for no apparent reason. Step out of your "hardcore" genre for a moment and listen to their fucking music. It is intelligent, beautiful, and heavy. RIP Hopesfall.

  • They did not involve , they just replaced the whole freaking band exept for a guitarist.

  • yea, but they do scream in magnetic north, wuite a few times

  • and in reality Trustkill removed probably the heaviest song on the album...just listened to that sustained scream Jay does on "Saskatchewan"

  • you're like, they arent that much different, except they dont scream and they arent hardcore. Those are two pretty defining characteristics in a band. The music is completely different. The vocals are completely different. I'm not saying they "sold out" but if youre going to change your style that much, might as well change the band name

  • Thats not hopesfall :(

  • As a longtime listener to Hopesfall--Can anyone wrap their heads around the fact that the band has only one active original member? Joshua Brigham left, and he was the founding guitarist. Jay Forrest has been the groups vocalist since the Satellite Years. Quaint, yes?

  • I don't know.

Look at Poison the Well. The only real original member is their drummer I think, form their first ever album when they had 2 vocalists. From the 2nd album, opposite of December only the vocalist is left. Line up changes happen. I like Jay's voice, but I truly miss old Hopesfall. The sattelite years is one of my favorite albums ever. A types dissapointed me. Icarus is the only decent song on that album. Magnetic North is so disappointing.

  • Err...sorry man, you're pretty off on Poison The Well. Ryan Primack(guitar)is the co-founder of the band, along with one of the original vocalists (Aryeh Lehrer). Chris(drums)is an original member, and is also still in the band. Jeff(vocals)isn't technically an original member, but he might as well be since he's done vocals for 4 full length albums(soon to be 5)as opposed to the original vocalists who only did a 12" split, and the "Distance" ep.

Either way, I love ALL of hopesfall's albums.

  • I thought ryan left.

  • Nope, he took a break from the band during most of the writing process for OoD(he only did guest guitar work on the album). He rejoined and helped write TFTR, and has been in the band since.

  • nooo wayy this album is all awesome plus some, wow the re-vamped version of bird flu kicks your ass and doesnt stop. I Can Do This On An Island is the best display of Jays voice to date and, ahh cant get enough. Sure they arnt the same as before, but sometomes new is good. and this new is REALLY good.

  • rx contender the pretender really stands out from the other songs on the album. the other songs are more calm, and no screams at all.

  • It was pretty good.....

  • Not a bad sound...
