Does anyone know a song of the same meaning but the guy didn't leave the girl, actually she realized he never got over his ex and she had to leave him?
MCC is so beyond the hacks at country music radio-they will keep playing classics like "She Thinks My Tractors Sexy and "Beer for my Horses. How could she compete?
Oh wow. Her eyes look so sad in this video. She really sings this one from the heart. I got hooked on her voice and country/folk style way back in the day.
Hey ya'all :) I loooove this song, but i know a man is singing it 2? Does anyone know who that man or band is? So sorry, but i like his version better.. PLEASE HELP ME! <3
MCC has such a rich-souding voice. I also love the driving beat of this song. One can almost dance to it. The video production is nice too with it's blue color and clear pictures of Mary and the boys in the band. MCC is a class act.
@mnymakers I wish I could answer that for sure, but I can only guess. My guess is: There are more dumbasses now than there were then. I was born in the wrong generation, cuz I hate that garbage and everything else today's youth like.
Somebody help me out here, in the places where she sings how he does what he wants, I get the impression that when he was with her he felt restricted or she was restricting him. I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on this.
I remember many years ago when I worked at a store in Tysons Mall in VA and she came in with a friend. She looked like she did in this video...very low key and not flashy. She was really nice. I just love encounters. :-)
ya know, i ued to be the kind of guy that she's singing about. i didn't know how it ws until it happened to me. i would have liked to apologize to the girls i did that to. i didn't realize what an asshole i had been for a long time. good way to keep humble

So you just go where you go,
and do what you do,
and be what you want to be...
but when she burns you again,
and your phone doesn't ring,
baby, it's me
best lyrics ever... thanks MCC

MCC is right up there with Nancy Grifith and Lucinda Williams in my opinion.
