Less than a week before this aired, on Sept. 5, I saw the orchestra in performance at Boston Garden. This was the first of three occasions on which I saw the full orchestra. This is the way I like to remember the band ... from the early 1970s, when Bobby & Cissy, Sandi & Sally, Norman Bailey, Buddy Merrill, Johnny Klein, etc., were all still with the show.
This video could also be labeled "Lawrence Welk: Hair". From Gail, to Ralna, to Tonya, hair abounds. I'd also like to know what sort of product you use when polishing the sun? ;)
It's the intro for the newly syndicated revival of The Lawrence Welk Show. First aired on 9/11/71. just 2 months after ABC cancelled the show after 16 seasons. The show stayed on the air until 1982. Today reruns of the show can still be seen on PBS.
This takes me back when I was a kid visiting my grand parents, the LAWRENCE'S.

@yogafan6500 You're telling me. I think the song was more for the affiliates and Don Fedderson Productions.
