@Cruser92 It is a CMX. Not all of the them came with the false convertible tops or the half vinyl tops. In fact, the false convertible top, or better known as the Cabriolet mock-convertible roof, was a rare option, even for the CMX's. Do your homework kid.
My first car was an 81 Maroon with red velour split bench slant 6 225 1 bbl, only option was the door chime to remind you if you left the keys in it or lights on -can't recall bought it because my friend had a silver 82 like yours with all the toys and I really liked the body style and it I was able to get in 1989 for $1400 with 60, 000 miles. It needed new brakes and a pitman arm supposed bent, found out needed rear axle bent as well - the old man was hitting curbs ... LOL
I love my 80 Mirada. 360 warmed up to 325hp. buckets, console, aftermarket sway bars, and almost all the rubber swapped for urethane in the suspension. Runs really nice. Surprised the odd 5.0 and older Camaro. (the new ones would eat my lunch) Just having a hard time finding a windshield. Someone deliberately broke it, which is the real pisser.
What was the red light on in the instrument panel. Was that door ajar? I also love these cars Mirada, Cordoba, or the absolutely beautiful Imperial. Just forget the Fuel Injection system on the latter!
I used to drive a 1980 mirada cmx with 360 back in the early '80s, that had same silver paint. It was an amazing highway car, and i remember similar performance as erikstrieter describes, a great cruiser! Good luck with it. Yours looks in great shape, considering its age, only in B.C. eh! Where r u getting the 360 from? Would love to see it some time.
hey thanks ya it is in good shape we bought it from a body man. The engine is a rebuilt 360 that my dad bought from a guy that deals him parts for his challenger. Great 360 stroker which is basically brand new. I'll have to make some more videos with my 318 thanks for the interest man.
I had an 80 Mirada that was a 1 of 50. it was a CHP car. 360, 4bbl, true duel pipes, and a 2.76 sure grip rear end. It would idle in 3rd with the converter locked up at 40, and at 85 it was only at 1800rpm's.
None of the Miradas had the Pentastar hood ornament above the grille, right?

Its not a CMX the CMX has a fake covertable top. I own a original Mirada CMX from 1982.

@Cruser92 Not all CMXs had the faux convertible top...the '80 that Motor Trend tested for the Sept '79 issue was a CMX and had a plain steel roof.

These cars were gorgeous and underrated. I have an 82 Dodge 400 Conv and even though most 80's cars were junk these were good cars and well built.
