@SHAUNSPICERCPU peak power is just below 9k rpm and the torque noticably drops off after 10k rpm, there isn't any point shifting this bike at the redline you have to treat the motor like a diesel car, let it pull through the rpms rather than screaming it
@daWKin548 Thanks for the info. I just bought one and i have only owned ZX-6R's. I keep hitting the rev limiter because i'm use to the higher redline. I crashed my 636 into a rig that turned in front of me in a 55 zone three years ago and i'm just getting the nerve to ride again. Seems like a fun bike though, Oddly enough the former owner is my best friend that was with me that day on the bike i have now and he hasn't ridin since. What is the best shift point for fast acceleration?
@SHAUNSPICERCPU its an amazing bike, if you ride twisties alot, you'll find even 1000cc bikes have a hard time keeping up because of the low gearing and strong torque. Below 6.5k rpm the motor isn't powerful (but still very torquey) and like i said it looses it after 10k rpm. Shift alittle lower each gear you go up, so you can let it rev out nearly in 1st, but changing 5th to 6th you may want to shift around 10k like in this video.
I got an SV650s, its my first bike, and I love it, it has enough power to keep me entertained, it is comfortable enough for long distances (well you do get a numb arse after about an hour and a half) and its easy enough to ride without worrying too much about what the bike's doing, you can just get on it and go, I love it and would like to try the SV1000
To those saying this isn't a great beginner, they are crazy. This is the ultimate beginner bike for those with any common sense of riding. Get a 250 or 500 and a few weeks later you're bored of it. The SV is powerful enough to keep up with my K7 GSXR 600 in the mountains around here. My brother's getting an SV this week and i'm almost more excited about it than my gixxer.
Bike shops and pros actually recommend this as a first bike to anyone who says it shouldn't be. The ninja 250r first and then the Suzuki GS500. And so on. This bike to be what cc it is doesn't compete with all the others of its cc. At no way. This is slow compared to the others and the acceleration is much lower. It's fast but not fast enough to do something stupid crazy on. Yeah u can say it is going 140mph but I've seen ppl crash and get up going this fast on a bike an ppl crash on a ninja 25

I wouldn't recommend it to a complete beginner, though. For the rest of you that are interested, it is a fantastic bike. Tons of fun, you won't get bored.
I bought a 2009 in March. My first bike. I got acquainted with it very quickly. I love the way it handles. I can dip in and out of traffic with ease. The top speed isn't a selling point. But don't get it twisted, it's not a punk if you know what you're doing. And it's got room for modifications and upgrades. So, all in all, its a cool-ass bike to be only a 650.
@azz3r1, Why would I need to upload a video of my motorcycles? I know what they look like. Sorry, but the SV650 is built for women. I am not going to apologize for why Suzuki built the bike. Suzuki now builds the "Gladius", and even in their commercials they show the Gladius is for women and american men (feminine gay men). Its a known fact. Maybe you have underlying homosexual desires riding an SV650.
@Tophairybutt lol you sound like you have a real ego problem. if you think a sv650 is a girl bike, your obviously overlycocky (aka, your inside emotions are very pussy so you need to cover them up on youtube)
What will it do on a flat road, going down a hill helps it to go faster. Still it was doing good to me. Any bike that can go 120+ mph is fast enoughf. take care,yl
Also like I sed I put it on because its a good first bike so people looking for a first bike will research it this includes YouTube so it is just to show people the bike, no need for everyone to get so upset its just a video, u guys must have bigger things to threat about than this
@carty944 I like to say that i appreciated this vid as i am looking to get this bike and was curious as to how fast it really was. so anyone who comes to criticize clearly has bigger issues.
Why the fuck is every one arguing about this bike, lets settle things, this vid was originally posted because there is no other sv top speed Vids on here of this shape sv, I know its not the quickest its a good first bike great at handling.
@carty944 Hell yes, plus they are cheap; to purchase, maintain, and insure. They sound pretty damn good too. I sold a zx10r and bought my buddies 02 sv650s. Still own the bike today.
@tigertattoo1963, No, Little Man, I'm not some kid. Thanks for clearing up the fact that "motorcycles are motorcycles". You must be a genius! I thought motorcycles were cars, wow, you really helped me out with that, (sarcasm). You say
"They go fast and can kill you"? Most motorcycles go fast, but the SV650 is a beginner/girls bike, and those are exempt. They are slow and are girl-bikes. Now, you may kneel in front of me, and I will tell you in person, if you can't read.
@Tophairybutt come on dude, you seriously think an SV is a girls bike? I got one its my 1st bike, and I'm definitely not a girl, plus, you cant really compare this to a CBR600, or a Ninja 600, or a gixxer 600, because they're 600 sports bikes, its like comparing a CBR6 to the fireblade in a fashion, only rather than the SV being a 1000cc superbike, it's more a middle weight sport-tourer, plus its a very good bike at that, reliable, fast, and has good handling and balance, plus good brakes
@Tophairybutt Before you call it a girls bike upload a video of your own first. The SV is a perfect starting bike. This video was uploaded in the UK so. In the UK law states you can ride anybike after passing your test if restricted and are under the age of 21. or have ridder for 2years restricted. It's practical insurance cheap to run, low maintenance, and performs well. so for a guy going from a 125 to a SV650 is fine. you dont need to get ripped by insurer for a CBR6 when a 650 is just as gud
So is that oe exhaust, that's quite good for 70bhp, wot yr was the bike? First bike my arse - I've been driving for 28yrs, I've done GSXRs, and ZXrs now the body can't handle it anymore, these sports tourers are the perfect balance, enough stupid speed when you want it, but a riding position that you can do 500miles a day on, and I do quite regular.
@veltruski, Nothing is wrong with me. What is wrong with you? Do you have venerial disease?
Also, you made me laugh when you attempted to enlighten me with your facts on motorcycles. LOL! Whether or not an automobile driver is an idiot or drunk, if he/she pulls out in front of a motorcyclist at 60mph, the result will be the same. Okay then, try to sleep on that and see if you can figure it out.
@trying2getfit, yes, I do realize the sv650 is not technologically advanced like true sport-bikes. I am not comparing fruit, nor am I referring to any type of food...wherever you got that idea. The sv650 is a popular track bike? The only time sv650s are racing is during "The Battle of the Mini-Twins", which is essentially a girl's race. Can you please define the words "teh" and "serous"? I looked for these words in my american ghetto slang dictionary and they are not in the book. English please?
Your video made me laugh. You do realize that other bikes of that displacement are much faster? No? Okay, here is a list: R6 by Yamaha, GSXR600 by Suzuki, CBR600 by Honda, and ZX6 by Kawasaki. All of the bikes that I have mentioned would easily out-run your SV650, even though the SV650 has 50 more ccs worth of displacement. So before you go making a fool of yourself again, you need to research other bikes. Your SV650 is considered a beginner/girls bike in my country! Wash off your windscreen!!!
@Tophairybutt You realize it's a different type of engine right? The very low end torque is better than those super bikes. You're comparing apples to oranges, or mangoes or whatever fruit they have in your country. Why do you think the sv650 is such a popular track bike? Also, you're a silly person who thinks teh internets are serous business.
@Tophairybutt the bikes you listed are all super sport bike designed with race tuned engines.
the sv650 is not a race bike and does not have a race tuned engine, so to compare them to r6, cbr, gsxr, is simply ridiculous. sv650 are sport bikes but not 'race' bikes like the list of biked you mentioned.
WTF is wrong with you? He's showing this bike's top speed... and it's impressive for a v twin. And no, it's not a beginner's bike, my firs bike was FZ6S and it was much faster than this one, but now I'm looking to buy a SV 650. Why? Because top speed is irrelevant, acceleration (torque) is important if you're a proper rider. You'll realize that when you crash at 60 MPH because a drunk idiot pulled out in front of you. (I hope you never find out what it's like)
@Tophairybutt What are you, some kid? Motorcycles are motorcyles. They go fast and can kill you. They are all fun. I'd like you to tell me that my sv650 is a "beginner/girls bike" while standing in front of me.
Keep in mind that most bikes read about 10% high on the speed. My 2008 SV indicated 140mph, while the GPS I had attached indicated a max speed of 126mph.
Not sure which is most stupid; doing those speeds along a trafficked dual carriageway and past junctions etc ... or then posting the video of it on youtube!!
You think this guy is going to get a ticket from the police for posting an illegal act on YouTube? Speaking as a person with friends and family in law enforcement, they don't give a shit. They MIGHT follow it up if he posted his name and contact information. However, as things stand currently, it's impossible to even prove who was even on this bike.
What would be a better bike?? Sv650 or a bandit 650??? Can't make my mind up!! Bandits only £245 insurance (19 years old, 2 years no claims and 6 points) lol not going to restrict it not fast bikes :)
idk why you'rs was restricted... mine is bone stock and it's not governed.... that having been said it's the naked version and has i think one more tooth on the back sprocket... so i top out about 134 instead of 140...
@CaptainTurkeyGiblets believe it's the same on the newer ones. I'm just fine with my 130mph top speed.. i get a bit better accel and in fourth gear my tach matches my speed... 6krpm = 60mph. That's just neat....
For the record, 140mph on this bike's dash would actually be approx 127mph, the dash on the SV is deliberately 10% higher than real speeds (77 when 70, 66 when 60, 55 when 50 etc, checked by GPS by me and others). I think you're mad doing that sort of speed on a dual carriage way with traffic that you can't predict when on an SV, they have far from good brakes and suspension (I know I have one)...and you're even more stupid posting it on youtube...it's submissible as evidence...
@Kaivalaginiviti not admissable unless they can prove you were riding and that time/date the video was taken... or so i've been lead to believe...correct me if i'm wrong.
--as for the dash being 10% over... i've gotten next to cars on the interstate and i'm within 1-2mph of their indicated speed.. got pulled over for doing 55 in a 40 and it was indicated 56.... mine's an 07 though, not the older style.
Mine was a 2010 and was 10% higher than actual...and lots of other owners have confirmed the variation. Chances are you get pulled for 55mph in a 40 when it was 50mph, still over but radar guns have error too yoou know! Anyhoo I still think the rider is being more than irresponsible and should calm down before someone dies.....
@daWKin548 oh very tough you asshole. Don't be a smartass on me. The bike wasn't used to the 25kw (or thirty-FOUR horsepower, rather than 33). It does 113mph now (181kph) so thats pretty close to the 117mph the uploader claims.
and for your information; i weigh only 65kg (about 130lbs or something?) and "not being able to tuck in properly" doesn't exist.
@balletjegehakt its 33hp actually it says it in the information on my PAPER LICENSE so thanks for playing. I have a friend who weighs the same as you and he cant tuck for shit so actuall it does exist, and if you want to insult me on my uploads, please check the upload dates of them all and feel free to keep insulting, my xbox hasn't worked in more than a month now and i fill my spare time with shit kicking wankers like you at my gym now instead, which i can prove if you like? asswipe ;)
@daWKin548 lol go ahead and kick my ass ;) I'm sure you'll find much pleasure in it. But I think you should spend your time better and just fucking drive your SV instead of acting tough on the interwebs.
@ylism when it was restricted it had a throttle restriction and some washers somewhere in the engine what slowed the ammount of fuel that could pass through
0-60 in 3.6 seconds and my personal max has been 145mph. I think I could have got a little more out of it, but I had to let off and change lanes when I noticed that I was catching a semi rather quickly. My buddy decided he wanted to be funny and act like he had a chance in his corvette engine camaro...
@paradox111490 there was enough room to break if the car had not began to move over, but frm a distance i cld c him start to move over so just went for it
@paradox111490 Well Paradox, I believe you are missing the fact that our friend here in the video is, in fact, riding a motorcycle. He had plenty of room to do whatever and get by that car like nothing was even there. You think he was being reckless here, you should see some sh*t that I've done... like coming around a curve at full lean going 120+ and very quickly standing the bike straight up to fit between the two cars w/ an inch or so space between my two mirrors and the cars. Get a clue. Thx
@rkfaithfulblade What makes you think I care about your boring life experiences? Even if you did do it...and you very well may have... I wouldn't be proud about it. Let alone brag about it. You cant be bothered to care about anyone on the road. You give everyone else on two wheels a bad name. I hate riders like you. HATE And as long as we are swapping stories when i was 19 i was charged with attempted vehicular manslaughter. Why? Because I saw an ignorant fuck like you and ran him off the road.
@paradox111490 Was I bragging? I was getting the point across. As long as the guy in the car isn't a fucking moron like you then there would be no trouble in getting around safely. Ignorant? That term wasn't even relevant to the conversation, and you don't have any idea how much I know and don't know. A rider is only endangering himself, not you. It's his choice, just like it was my choice to do the a fore mentioned act. I race on the track, and cruise everywhere else.
@paradox111490 And you want to talk to a motorcyclist about caring about others on the road, while at the same time telling me you tried to kill one of us? Get the f*ck out dude, it's people like you that are the reason I go fast, so I can get out of the way in time when imbeciles can't check their mirrors before cutting into my lane. My bike is made to handle better & faster at higher-than-average speeds. Almost got taken out 3 times by cagers just yesterday. Like I said before, get a clue.
what did you do to your back full system change sprockets? i got a stock 03 sv650s and i could only get 132 ish, now there was about a 5 mph wind i wouldnt expect that to drop ten mphs though.
@skierdude75 I got 145 with my 05 stock except for a new pipe. I had every part of my body low and squeezed in as much as I could to reduce wind resistance. Idk what to tell you other than that.
It's fundamentally the same as the naked variant with the exception of a more aggressive seating position and a slight overall top speed. If anything, it's more stable at highway speeds due to better aerodynamics. The SV650 is great for mature beginners because of its low weight, predictable throttle response, easy brakes, and a road tuned suspension that's not as twitchy as some of the purebred race bikes. All of these characteristics are both present in S and naked variant.
@carty944 everybody thinks if a certain bikes top speed is faster than a other bike its a better bike. you can still crash on a any bike. a 250 or 1200cc..
@tribulation138 I agree with you on the fact that people look at the bike with the top speed as the best. I wish I had had a dollar for every idiot with a Hayabusa in north carolina that I've been stuck behind just because they can't ride for shit. They just want to buy what everyone says is the fastest.
@tribulation138 He's saying it being a first bike for people over in the UK. if you ask any rider in the UK what a good first big bike is they will tell you it's a SV650 end of. People that own an SV650 might not move from a 650 they will sit at a 650 fine it's not too powerfull and not to slow. just because you might want to keep up with the Jones's doesn't mean we all need to.
I went down one tooth on front sproket with ultralight chain and rear sproket...150+ with passenger adding two bros exaust and k+n intake to get tha wheel up in 3rd any other ideas

@carty944 I like to say that i appreciated this vid as i am looking to get this bike and was curious as to how fast it really was. so anyone who comes to criticize clearly has bigger issues.
Joshalba34 6 days ago
Why the fuck is every one arguing about this bike, lets settle things, this vid was originally posted because there is no other sv top speed Vids on here of this shape sv, I know its not the quickest its a good first bike great at handling.
carty944 5 months ago 7
@carty944 Hell yes, plus they are cheap; to purchase, maintain, and insure. They sound pretty damn good too. I sold a zx10r and bought my buddies 02 sv650s. Still own the bike today.
CockYaLegS 1 month ago
@tigertattoo1963, No, Little Man, I'm not some kid. Thanks for clearing up the fact that "motorcycles are motorcycles". You must be a genius! I thought motorcycles were cars, wow, you really helped me out with that, (sarcasm). You say
"They go fast and can kill you"? Most motorcycles go fast, but the SV650 is a beginner/girls bike, and those are exempt. They are slow and are girl-bikes. Now, you may kneel in front of me, and I will tell you in person, if you can't read.
Tophairybutt 5 months ago
@Tophairybutt come on dude, you seriously think an SV is a girls bike? I got one its my 1st bike, and I'm definitely not a girl, plus, you cant really compare this to a CBR600, or a Ninja 600, or a gixxer 600, because they're 600 sports bikes, its like comparing a CBR6 to the fireblade in a fashion, only rather than the SV being a 1000cc superbike, it's more a middle weight sport-tourer, plus its a very good bike at that, reliable, fast, and has good handling and balance, plus good brakes
badman2504 5 months ago
@badman2504
You're wasting your time. You'll never reason someone out of a position they didn't' reason themselves into.
opmike343 5 months ago
@Tophairybutt Good luck keeping up with that SV650 on some twisties/track.
MattuhliciousTM 5 months ago
@Tophairybutt Before you call it a girls bike upload a video of your own first. The SV is a perfect starting bike. This video was uploaded in the UK so. In the UK law states you can ride anybike after passing your test if restricted and are under the age of 21. or have ridder for 2years restricted. It's practical insurance cheap to run, low maintenance, and performs well. so for a guy going from a 125 to a SV650 is fine. you dont need to get ripped by insurer for a CBR6 when a 650 is just as gud
AZZ3R1 5 months ago
So is that oe exhaust, that's quite good for 70bhp, wot yr was the bike? First bike my arse - I've been driving for 28yrs, I've done GSXRs, and ZXrs now the body can't handle it anymore, these sports tourers are the perfect balance, enough stupid speed when you want it, but a riding position that you can do 500miles a day on, and I do quite regular.
GlynEdgarParry 6 months ago
that is impressive for that engine
ttchmp 6 months ago
@veltruski, Nothing is wrong with me. What is wrong with you? Do you have venerial disease?
Also, you made me laugh when you attempted to enlighten me with your facts on motorcycles. LOL! Whether or not an automobile driver is an idiot or drunk, if he/she pulls out in front of a motorcyclist at 60mph, the result will be the same. Okay then, try to sleep on that and see if you can figure it out.
Tophairybutt 6 months ago
@trying2getfit, yes, I do realize the sv650 is not technologically advanced like true sport-bikes. I am not comparing fruit, nor am I referring to any type of food...wherever you got that idea. The sv650 is a popular track bike? The only time sv650s are racing is during "The Battle of the Mini-Twins", which is essentially a girl's race. Can you please define the words "teh" and "serous"? I looked for these words in my american ghetto slang dictionary and they are not in the book. English please?
Tophairybutt 6 months ago
Your video made me laugh. You do realize that other bikes of that displacement are much faster? No? Okay, here is a list: R6 by Yamaha, GSXR600 by Suzuki, CBR600 by Honda, and ZX6 by Kawasaki. All of the bikes that I have mentioned would easily out-run your SV650, even though the SV650 has 50 more ccs worth of displacement. So before you go making a fool of yourself again, you need to research other bikes. Your SV650 is considered a beginner/girls bike in my country! Wash off your windscreen!!!
Tophairybutt 6 months ago
@Tophairybutt You realize it's a different type of engine right? The very low end torque is better than those super bikes. You're comparing apples to oranges, or mangoes or whatever fruit they have in your country. Why do you think the sv650 is such a popular track bike? Also, you're a silly person who thinks teh internets are serous business.
trying2getfit 6 months ago
@Tophairybutt the bikes you listed are all super sport bike designed with race tuned engines.
the sv650 is not a race bike and does not have a race tuned engine, so to compare them to r6, cbr, gsxr, is simply ridiculous. sv650 are sport bikes but not 'race' bikes like the list of biked you mentioned.
seb23490 6 months ago
@Tophairybutt
(I hope you never find out what it's like)
veltruski 6 months ago
@Tophairybutt Yes it s a great 1st bike, but you obviously know nothing about engines. People like you give squids a bad name, if that even possible.
1243wesley 6 months ago
@Tophairybutt What are you, some kid? Motorcycles are motorcyles. They go fast and can kill you. They are all fun. I'd like you to tell me that my sv650 is a "beginner/girls bike" while standing in front of me.

iKnollex 6 months ago
@korj00
Check your speed with GPS, if its 210 then you cant do anything because thats
what a sv650 does at "full power" or 217 if you push it for a long time to be exact :)
YTmrcleaner 7 months ago
Keep in mind that most bikes read about 10% high on the speed. My 2008 SV indicated 140mph, while the GPS I had attached indicated a max speed of 126mph.
645cc 7 months ago
@645cc yeah motorcycle speedometers are very inaccurate
lbouwkamp 7 months ago
Not sure which is most stupid; doing those speeds along a trafficked dual carriageway and past junctions etc ... or then posting the video of it on youtube!!
randyfrog1969 7 months ago
@randyfrog1969
You think this guy is going to get a ticket from the police for posting an illegal act on YouTube? Speaking as a person with friends and family in law enforcement, they don't give a shit. They MIGHT follow it up if he posted his name and contact information. However, as things stand currently, it's impossible to even prove who was even on this bike.

idk why you'rs was restricted... mine is bone stock and it's not governed.... that having been said it's the naked version and has i think one more tooth on the back sprocket... so i top out about 134 instead of 140...
tonythephatone 10 months ago
@tonythephatone Naked has 1 less tooth on the front sprocket.Well it does on the older curvy sv`s.I dunno if they changed this.
CaptainTurkeyGiblets 10 months ago
@CaptainTurkeyGiblets believe it's the same on the newer ones. I'm just fine with my 130mph top speed.. i get a bit better accel and in fourth gear my tach matches my speed... 6krpm = 60mph. That's just neat....
tonythephatone 10 months ago
good vid imo, nice to see what my bike is capable of
rapt0rdizzle 11 months ago
For the record, 140mph on this bike's dash would actually be approx 127mph, the dash on the SV is deliberately 10% higher than real speeds (77 when 70, 66 when 60, 55 when 50 etc, checked by GPS by me and others). I think you're mad doing that sort of speed on a dual carriage way with traffic that you can't predict when on an SV, they have far from good brakes and suspension (I know I have one)...and you're even more stupid posting it on youtube...it's submissible as evidence...
Kaivalaginiviti 11 months ago
@Kaivalaginiviti not admissable unless they can prove you were riding and that time/date the video was taken... or so i've been lead to believe...correct me if i'm wrong.
--as for the dash being 10% over... i've gotten next to cars on the interstate and i'm within 1-2mph of their indicated speed.. got pulled over for doing 55 in a 40 and it was indicated 56.... mine's an 07 though, not the older style.
tonythephatone 10 months ago
Mine was a 2010 and was 10% higher than actual...and lots of other owners have confirmed the variation. Chances are you get pulled for 55mph in a 40 when it was 50mph, still over but radar guns have error too yoou know! Anyhoo I still think the rider is being more than irresponsible and should calm down before someone dies.....
Kaivalaginiviti 10 months ago
Dude you are an idiot. Take it to the track.
FuelCell250 11 months ago
I'd love to see 140 on my SV, my best is around 100, but I heard the speedo is 10% fast, any truth to that?

@balletjegehakt to 33hp you mug, if you live in the EU then that is the law, you must be a fat bastard or cant ride a bike and tuck in properly
daWKin548 8 months ago
@daWKin548 oh very tough you asshole. Don't be a smartass on me. The bike wasn't used to the 25kw (or thirty-FOUR horsepower, rather than 33). It does 113mph now (181kph) so thats pretty close to the 117mph the uploader claims.
and for your information; i weigh only 65kg (about 130lbs or something?) and "not being able to tuck in properly" doesn't exist.
Have fun with your video games, asswipe :)
balletjegehakt 8 months ago
@balletjegehakt its 33hp actually it says it in the information on my PAPER LICENSE so thanks for playing. I have a friend who weighs the same as you and he cant tuck for shit so actuall it does exist, and if you want to insult me on my uploads, please check the upload dates of them all and feel free to keep insulting, my xbox hasn't worked in more than a month now and i fill my spare time with shit kicking wankers like you at my gym now instead, which i can prove if you like? asswipe ;)
daWKin548 8 months ago

@carty944 How do they restrict a bike like yours ? I really would like to know. Thank;s, yl

@ylism when it was restricted it had a throttle restriction and some washers somewhere in the engine what slowed the ammount of fuel that could pass through

0-60 in 3.6 seconds and my personal max has been 145mph. dubbys 9 months ago
Get a clue. Thx
rkfaithfulblade 4 months ago
@rkfaithfulblade What makes you think I care about your boring life experiences? Even if you did do it...and you very well may have... I wouldn't be proud about it. Let alone brag about it. You cant be bothered to care about anyone on the road. You give everyone else on two wheels a bad name. I hate riders like you. HATE And as long as we are swapping stories when i was 19 i was charged with attempted vehicular manslaughter. Why? Because I saw an ignorant fuck like you and ran him off the road.
paradox111490 4 months ago
@paradox111490 Was I bragging? I was getting the point across. As long as the guy in the car isn't a fucking moron like you then there would be no trouble in getting around safely. Ignorant? That term wasn't even relevant to the conversation, and you don't have any idea how much I know and don't know. A rider is only endangering himself, not you. It's his choice, just like it was my choice to do the a fore mentioned act. I race on the track, and cruise everywhere else.
rkfaithfulblade 4 months ago
@paradox111490 And you want to talk to a motorcyclist about caring about others on the road, while at the same time telling me you tried to kill one of us? Get the f*ck out dude, it's people like you that are the reason I go fast, so I can get out of the way in time when imbeciles can't check their mirrors before cutting into my lane. My bike is made to handle better & faster at higher-than-average speeds. Almost got taken out 3 times by cagers just yesterday. Like I said before, get a clue.

@skierdude75 I got 145 with my 05 stock except for a new pipe. I had every part of my body low and squeezed in as much as I could to reduce wind resistance. Idk what to tell you other than that.
kbutler1234 1 year ago
the s model is not for learning!!!
1uupinyo 1 year ago
@1uupinyo
Nayega 1 year ago
@1uupinyo the only differences between the S and the naked are the clip ons, the headlights, and more faring on the newest models.

kbutler1234 1 year ago
@tribulation138 no its because it has good brakes and a really steady design, making it easy to take on the twists even for a beginner.
am buying it soon, not as a first bike, but just because it has awesome MPG and handling
SoldierCyfix 1 year ago
@tribulation138 He's saying it being a first bike for people over in the UK. if you ask any rider in the UK what a good first big bike is they will tell you it's a SV650 end of. People that own an SV650 might not move from a 650 they will sit at a 650 fine it's not too powerfull and not to slow. just because you might want to keep up with the Jones's doesn't mean we all need to.
