Totally agree with Proqxis, i can´t see the point : a full orchestra playing this kind of pieces is a waste of time and money... at least they would have been paid a good amount.
Techno is for dancing: it's simple, is raw, it connects us with our primitive brain and I love it, but Come on!!!! this is not avangarde or experimental in any way, just look the shots of the score is completly plain...
You are so small minded...this is pure art....name one artist other than Mills that has even tried to further the realms of Techno......get an education before making such a dumbass comment
@OLDSKOOLWAX are you serious? there are THOUSANDS of people doing music "other that Mills" that have taken up-to-date technologies and applied them to musical contexts other than clubs and warehouses. I think its simply loyalty to the "Jeff Mills" brand. cult of personality, IMO. I definitely appreciate some of his records and he is no doubt, a good dj and was dialed into the early stages of techno's emergence... but I'm just not buying it. :)
this is actually pretty bad, imo... mills "looking so busy" mixing nothing but a 909 and sections of the orchestra... ooo! volume changes!... percussion-mute-breakdown !! the orchestra must be bored to tears playing this redundant piece... this delusional contrivance to make simple techno seem so palatable and on par with other more sophisticated musical disciplines is really kind of embarrassing.
Gracias Jeff Mills, muchisimas gracias por tantas horas de buena musica, por no venderte nunca a lo comercial, por seguir experimentando siempre, por hacernos disfrutar tantas veces. GRACIAS!!!
tehcno is so cheap, he isnt doing anything, just looping a kickdrum and some snares. Its the orchestra that plays.
I used to be into techno to, then i started making it myself and saw how empty and rediculous easy itr is to make.
