  • Parallel fifths at 2:19? Between the bottom and middle parts? O_o am I seeing things or is Johann sneaking some cheeky consecutive perfect intervals in?

  • Why does every piano player in the world play Bach at relativistic speeds? Where's the phrasing, the dynamics, the musicality?!

  • simply wonderfully played

  • This piece is great on Horowitz concert grand.

  • Muahaha I finally got it right :3 after 1 week :DD

  • I'm 12, and I play this piece =)

  • I've always loved this one, the beginning is so beauiful : )

  • that music says why i like a lot of Bach songs

  • wat the heck, why so fast

when you play a tad bit slower, you can actually here the melodic harmonies.

  • @dubblebubble898 i dont know about the fugue, but i believe the prelude is written to be played that fast

  • @dubblebubble898

Это тридцатьвторые- как же их играть медленнее?

    It's a prelude to 1 / 32. How to play slower?

  • i love the fugue

  • This is a wonderful Prelude & Fugue! I just got started on learning this!

  • whos that one person that keeps hitting the dislike button

  • Superb !!

  • I prefer this to Gould's interpretation

  • the countersubject is so so beautiful makes me wanna listen to the fugue again and again

  • was that a string breaking at 0:24?

  • It seems more like 0'26. Probably not (it's a piano!), but it might be the stool creaking or something of the sort.

  • I think this is the correct speed (the notes are demisemiquavers - really fast!). But it actually sounds good too at a slightly slower speed - try it. My friend played it for me slightly slower, and I actually thought it sounded a bit better. This is one of the nicer preludes by the way. The other one I like that's in a major key is the Ab Major Prelude from Well-Tempered Clavier.

  • Does anyone think this is too fast? The prelude I mean?

  • I think he's basically just amazing.

Sometimes we like to show off our speed :)

I guess, this way, the reverb allows the notes to flow together easier, though.

  • of course.

  • ya, I do

  • Thanks man for your patience in produce these videos! I'm studing this pieces right now, I'll take inspiration from the genius of Richter!

  • Wow, Richter is simply an amazing player.

  • Thanks!!

  • Thank you! One of my favorite preludes and fugues!

  • Thanks for continuation!
