Dog Care - Eye Drops, Wash, and Ointments

i have a 6 month old shih tzu,who had an eye ulcer scraped,he need 2 kinds of eye drops 2x a day,he is also wearing a cone,this need to be on him for 3 weeks,i am having the very devil of a time with him,he hates the drops,bucks and squirms and trys to get away,even my husband cant hold him for long,i dont want to give him a lot of stress,i love him dearly,but he needs these drops,can someone give me some advice please?

Yes, that's a great video. Here's a hint for the maker though: must vets will show you how to put the drops in. The reason why I came on the internet for advice is: what happens when your dog doesn't cooperate? How do you hold him? Maybe get into more detail of what to do when it does not go as easily as in your video :) I did appreciate the 'come from behind technique and will try that out right now... Thanks again for the video!
