Saint Paul said Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world, meaning it was God's Will in a complex story in God's Mind, before God created the world. No matter how many times we might replay the events of Jesus' death, it always must end the same way, it was spoken about and written in prophecy and so it was .The matter is about God's viewpoint of His Love for Mankind ,that such a deed and such a character as Jesus, was a direct Revelation out of God's Mind, which no man could deter.
So can anyone tell me why the verse in Deuteronomy 6:4 is followed by the phrase "Blessed is the glory of his kingdom forever and ever"? Is there a source for this?
@WaysOfMan: The sages say that as soon as the Sh'ma was introduced to the people of Israel, the angels responded to this declaration by stating, "Blessed is the glory of his kingdom forever and ever." Thus, when the Rabbis began formulating the Sabbath prayers into the initial siddur, the teachings of the sages was also included in the prayer books.
@hillel70 Actually, the RAMBAM (Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon) said in the Mishnah Torah that the Shema was written by the sons of Yaakov. When Yakov was about to die, he gathered his sons and blessed them and said, "Oh sons of Yisrael that you would worship the LORD you God, That you would not worship the many false gods." The sons of Yaakov stood and said, "Hear o Israel (Jacob) the Lord is our God. The Lord is One." Then Yaakov said, "Blessed be the glory of his kingdom forever and ever."
@syaw10 You are correct; at least, that's one of many teachings in reference to the Sh'ma. It's a matter of which school of thought you wish to follow. The true source of "Baruch Shem K'vod [...]" may have came from Psalm 72:18-9, and the tradition followed since then. No one knows for sure. The only thing we do know is that there's three schools of thoughts on the matter.
REVELATION 2:9: I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 3:9: Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
I do detest it when I see this debate done so poorly - THE TRUTH, Jewish leadership wanted Jesus dead, so they pressured the Romans and threatened revolt until they agreed to kill him: in a court of law the man who hires another to kill, is as or more guilty than the one who commits the crime - However, Jesus the son of God; the Christ doesn't care about vengeance LOL he loves all of you even those who nailed him to the cross. I ask you to put this foolishness as Christ has.
I love the people of G-D not because they are nice, compassioned people but because the LORD said so to bless them and not cruse, like Balaam did, NOW thats obedienance to Hashem
Psalm 122:6 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure.
Sorry to disagree with some of you, but I don't accept that Jesus was the Messiah or that G-d chose to sacrifice him for the sins of humanity. G-d doesn't want human sacrifice, which He clearly indicated with the Binding of Issac.
I agree with Nurse Shalom in that point that Jesus impossibly did die for our sins. Each will be held responsible for his own deeds. However, Jesus was a Prophet for Israel.
@Nordicmoslem If He couldn't die for our sins then how is it that a lamb was slain on altars in the old covenant for sins? Was YHWH lying when He said to slay animals for sins? God forbid. Why did the prophet Haggai say the 2nd temple's glory would exceed the first? The 2nd temple was destroyed as prophecied by Yeshua. The only act that makes the 2nd temple greater than that build by Solomon is Yeshua the sacrifice for all. Dig it, ALL our deeds are worthy of damnation, no one is righteous
A lamb is not a human being. A lamb is an animal. You can't ask "If I can't eat rocks how can you say that I can eat oranges". Animals can be slain in repentance for sins, people cannot. Female lambs can be slain for sins, males cannot.
The second Temple's glory WAS greater- it was bigger and lasted longer than the first.
"Yeshua's" prophecy: "there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down" appears to contradict the existence of the Western wall
@WaysOfMan The Western Wall was a retaining wall on the hill where the temple was located. It wasn't a wall of the temple itself. I just learned that a week ago.
@WaysOfMan It doesn't contradict at all the Western wall is merely the exposed Southwestern portion of the Temple Mount upon which the Holy Temple once stood, and which now supports the Dome of the Rock and the El Aqsa mosque. The Temple itself has long since been utterly and completely obliterated, to the point that scholars still argue about its exact positioning on the mount. What is known is that the Holy of Holies was on the Western end, to be continued...
@WaysOfMan continued - which is the main reason the Western Wall of the platform became so important to later generations of Jews it was as close as they could get to the Holy of Holies without actually going on top of the mount, which the most conservative factions will not do, for fear of profaning it.
Many try to shield the beliefs of others if it is not in agreement with their own, but G-d knows every mans heart and that is what really counts. A humble slave to the
Good video. Powerful words. I am glad that you brought up that Jesus repeated the words in Deut. 6:4-6, The Shema. Hear O Israel, the LORD your God, The LORD your God is one. Thou Shalt love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words which I command thee this day, she be in thine heart.
Jesus said this is the first and greatest commandment. I am studying the Shema with Hebrew for Christians, a free site with sound. Thanks Shalom.
thank you for this video! it is a blessing to hear from more Jewish believers in Yeshua ha-Moshiach. He came first for the Jews, then for the Gentiles, that all nations may know and praise the One True God, incarnate in the Messiah Jesus. He is the inheritance of every Jew, and of every Gentile who calls upon Him, and believes.
And He was restored to His Rightful Place at the Right Hand of G-d, after having been the Perfect Offer for Humanity. Yeshua the Word of G-d, LAID DOWN His Life...no one took it from Him. He MADE that offer Himself... The sin of the world, (including the Jews at the time), was to REJECT Him who would be the Cornerstone...
Bible god commands people to murder babies in the time of Saul for the sins of their ancestors 400 years prior during the Exodus:
This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.' [1 Samuel 15:2-4]
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard
in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender
grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. Song of Songs 2-11-14
Well, it does say "... as you love yourself." That would mean that a person is committed to learning how to love onself prior to loving his neighbor. Also, Torah commands for us to choose life over death any day.
What happened to loving your Palestinian neighbour? I did like hearing the voices singing together, though. Reminded me of being a young girl in synagogue. Thanks for posting this.
Israelis have tried to love their palestinian neighbour for over 61 years they don't want piece. One cannot love their neighbour as themselves if they try to kill them on a daily bases
Let the Palestinians go back to being Israel's neighbor then, instead of their invaders and usurpers and they can love them. Palestinian is a false name and only came into being in 1967 after Israel's victory. Why does the world not pressure the Arabs who have 1000 times the land of tiny Israel to take back again their displaced brothers who are forced to stay in Israel by political activists who care noting for them and accept them instead of using them for shields. Israel treats them well.
I'm a Christian and I have a very deep love and respect for the Jewish people. Not only because they are so beloved by the God I serve, adore, and live for - but also just because I love the people and the culture. I would love to go to synagogue sometime. But, who would I be accepted? How would I go about it?
If you are refering to the trinity as the plural of elohim, you are wrong. Study the ancient writings on the subject of trinity. And you will find the trinity as one of the oldest pagan rites developed by Cain, Ham, and Nimrod. This practiced was utilized by every religion in history except the Hebrews. You can not believe the Shma and trinity at the same time, they are diametrically opposed to each other.
As Genesis 18:1 says, "And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre." One of the men who came to eat with Abraham is God. How is that possible?
So what are you saying? Do you reason that The Heavenly Father took the form of a human being in order to have dinner with Abraham in the plains of Mamre? Do you also reason that The Heavenly Father reincarnates Himself in human form often? It sounds like reincarnation theology to me. Granted, you're depending on an English translation of a Hebrew text that was written over 4,000 years ago. Modern day English grammar rules do not apply in a Semitic Language. What does this Hebrew verse say?
It's interesting that some people will try and get around what the Scriptures say by trying to say it's totally beyond our ability to translate into English. The text is clear and isn't cryptic unless you are biased. Also, it is not reincarnation. It's a manifestation of the Holy One as He pleases - or do you limit Him? You'll notice the Holy One appeared to Hagar (who is amazed she survived,) wrestled with Jacob, appeared and spoke to Moses in the bush, and ate and spoke to Abraham...
Yeshua said, "No man has seen G-d at any time; [...]. [Jn 1:18, KJV]" To view G-d directly has its own consequence. Thus, G-d told Moses: "You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live. [Ex 33:20, NLT]" Israel was very much aware of such a devastating consequence. [Dt 18:16] In fact, sin inhibits man from seeing G-d. [Is 59:2] Since the Bible does not contradict itself, the response to your question relies on what the Hebrew text says.
And the Hebrew text is clear: Abraham sat and conversed with God in person. The others I mentioned saw God as well, not God in His full glory as you describe, but in mediated form. You have to accept the whole of Scripture, not just pick and choose what fits your own logic. If the Scripture says the Lord appeared, then the Lord appeared. If you can't tell me what the Hebrew says, don't go pretending it says something otherwise.
Mankind was created in the image of G-d. [Genesis 1:26-7, 9:6, 1 Cor 11:7] The means by which Hashem makes Himself known is by means of visions and dreams. [Nm 12:6] The Hebrew term "וַיֵּרָא" suggests to perceive a vision thereof. [ref. Strong's H7200] Then again, Abraham may have seen "G-d's image" in these three men. The Bible does not suggest that G-d took the form of a human being to have dinner with my forefather Abraham.
Paul also made a similar comment, "Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the L-rd rather than for people. [Col 3:23]" Abraham greeted these men in accordance to the Middle Eastern custom of his day. When he greeted these men, he did it as unto the L-rd because he saw G-d's image in them.
Though, in English, it may not make much of a difference, it does make a vast difference in the Hebrew language. We know that Abraham did not see an apparition because later verses states that he met with three men.
And one of the "men" was YHVH. You'll notice two of the "men" leave and one remains to converse with Abraham. The conversation is between God and Abraham. It's unavoidable. Also, you're saying YHVH appeared to Abraham, but Abraham did not see YHVH? Seriously.
God is invisible, not because He is limited, but because that is His choice. However, Yeshua said, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Read Genesis 18 with an open heart and mind. Who is Abraham speaking with when two of the angels leave to rescue Lot? Didn't Sarah overhear YHWH make the Promise? How did Sarah audibly overhear YHWH if it was merely a vision of Abraham? I hope you get the Revelation.
Yes, in the future, mankind will have the ability to see The Heavenly Father face to face and not fear death. However, that is not the current condition that mankind possesses. Yeshua said, "No man has seen G-d at any time; [...]. [Jn 1:18, KJV]" Would you rather prefer to make Messiah out to be a liar?
Another means by which the reader can determine that Abraham did not see G-d is that these men continue to refer to YHVH in the third person oppose to the first. [14, 19] In some cases, Bible translators translated anashim as LORD oppose to gentlemen. I understand your frustration. Sadly, your argument is based on an English rendition and not the Hebrew. You lack sufficient evidence and ignore everything else in the Bible to defend your claim. At this point, I have to reject your claim.
To tell you the truth most of christianity has missed the mark as far as the truth is concerned i believe the apostasy is already happening..think about it most of christianity teaches false doctrines for example the trinity which is blasphemy against YAHWEH when throughout the Tanakh all Israel new him as one and only one then for Him to show himself as 3 is highly illogical and to say that Yeshua was YHVH in the flesh is illogical as well for Yeshua himself prayed to YHVH
the good news is there are christians out there like me and others who know to follow the Torah.....the Tanakh (Torah, Nevium, Kevium) and the Brit ha Desha. We don't understand it. But there is a movement. Ephriam is coming. The other Jews won't recognize us. But we are part of Israel. All colors of the rainbow.......Hebrew....returning.....returning to the Torah. I pray with a Talit, sing the Shma, celebrate shabbat, celebrate Shavout...etc. Ephriam is coming back......get ready!
Yeshua also taught us that "a spirit hath not flesh and bones" [Luke 24:39, KJV]. Being that G-d is a spirit, He does not possess flesh and bones as we do.
Concerning the G-d of Israel, Yeshua himself taught his disciples that G-d is a Spirit. [Reference John 4:24] The Scriptures defends G-ds existence by expressing what (יהוה [YHVH]) is not. For instance, Torah informs us something significant about the G-d of Israel, יהוה, is not a man, that He should lie. He is not a human, that He should change His mind. []. [Numbers 23:19, NLT compare with Job 9:32 & Hosea 11:9]
When the Torah says "God is not a man that He should lie, He is not a human, that He should change His mind." it means He isn't like us who sin and rebel.
"The LORD is a man of war..." Exodus 15:3
This doesn't mean that YHWH was literally a man in the OT, it was Moses' way of describing God.
However throughout the Scriptures God appears as a man, to Abraham & even Joshua for example, therefore it is not a difficult thing that He would become a man, Jesus, to complete His divine plan
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith HaShem.
And many nations shall join themselves to HaShem in that day, and shall be My people, and I will dwell in the midst of thee'; and thou shalt know that HaShem of hosts hath sent me unto thee. -Zechariah 2:14-15
This passage says HaShem will dwell in the midst of Israel, then Israel will know that HaShem of hosts has sent HaShem to them. HaShem, in this verse, is Jesus sent by His Father
You're reading into the verse to make it seem something that is not. Contrary to you claim, John said YHVH that will dwell with mankind. John expressed: I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, Hashem's tabernacle is with people, and YHVH will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God [YHVH] himself will be with them as their God. [Rev 21:3, NLT] Messiah also made the same claim in Mt 5:8 about one day seeing El, "Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see YHVH."
although God is a spirit, he was made man known as jesus...even the genesis states that we are made by his image.
it's unbelievable that you jews refuse to accept that the Christ already came and missioned and died for us. how can you go to the father without accepting the son. that's like my mother that had me before marriage and is now married for 3 years. he had to accept me or he couldn't be with her. YOU killed him and now denying him. REPENT!!!
that's not antisemitic. i have nothing but love for people. reading my comment, i still don't see any antisemitic post. please, quote the antisemitic comment
when you say that jews are wrong because they don't accept jesus as the messiah you are in a way being anti-semitic... also telling us to repent? wtf? the messiah will not be the son of G-d, he will be a man just like the rest of us... maybe you should look into what judaism really is...
Antisemitic is a word used as an excuse or defensive attitude, very pathetic really. JESUS or YAHUWSHUA was jew and kept Torah ( we can't say the same for the rest of leaders then and now) ) If you don't repent from your sins you will go to hell. Breaking news all men sin against GOD all men. The only way to get saved is the messiah who was rejected by most of Israel. But the ancient church was jewish mostly. In time you will see that messiah will come and will know HE is not only a man
Matthew 24:38-40 - For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man...John 14:5-7 -... Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well...
The jews are not "wrong". Jesus has a purpose. He LOVES the jewish people. He will give His people a chance to SEE the truth. Its not about being right or wrong. Its about wanting ALL OF YOU TO BE IN HEAVEN! BECAUSE WE TRULY LOVE YOU!
JESUS LOVES YOU AND I LOVE YOU TOO. Please don't think that Christians are anti-semitic. That is not what God wants!!! We are to love one another!!!
Yeshua's judge on earth was the Roman man name Pontius Pilate who allowed an unruly Mob of many nationalities to decide Yeshua's fate. One must remember, the Jews were not in control of their country, it was occupied and full of many peoples coming from near and far, Hence the near destruction of the Hebrew Language. But G-D our Elohim, is merciful, and we are being restored as it is written. He is gathering us again.
Well you didn't read history or bible. Clearly says He came to die as an atonement sacrifice for all man's sin. So you and me and all the world are guilty for HIS death so a repented for my sins and confessed YAHUWSHUA is king. But the jewish leaders rejected HIm and plotted to kill HIm breaking the law ( Torah) lying ...They refused to accepted Him as messiah so they were guilty is in the bible records
Agreed, Pontius Pilate wanted Yeshau dead or else he would have appointed a more acceptable jury, but instead Pilate, the Roman, allowed an angry mob to sentence Yeshua to death. Yeshua was impaled not by Jews, but by Roman soldiers upon the crucifix, if Pontius Pilate didn't want him dead, he could have stopped his soldiers at any time. Yet he didn't, because Yeshua was a threat to Rome. Yeshua's torso was punctured with a spear, by Romans, and they cast dice for his Tallit and Tzitzit.
Actually NO ONE killed Yeshua. Yeshua died from a broken heart on the cross after He drank the Wrath of His Father on our behalf and became an ABOMINATION to G-d, to the point where He cried out Eli, Eli, lama sabacht ani... To claim that anyone killed Yeshua is to say that G-d can be killed by man. Taking in the sin of Humanity killed Him, for He became Sin at that moment. HE laid down His life and HE took it up again...This Power was given to Him by the Father...
The scribes and the pharisees were given a choice ,as was custom in those days, to set one prisoner free, they chose to let barbarius a murderer free, this is why Pilates said his hands were washed of Christs blood. True it was roman soldiers who actually did the crucification ,but under Jewish law Jesus was crucified ,not under the roman law .where in rome He was found of no crimes. When Jesus returns many jews will then believe He is the Messiah.
@vasiliosrigos I respect your love for G-d and faith perspective, but must note that G-d created Jewish law...so does it really make sense for YOU (a Christian) to assert that Jewish law charged J.C. with wrongdoing? it's like saying G-d found J.C. guilty of something. I don't believe in J.C. - I honestly tried Christianity, but the L-rd has made it clear that I am of the body of Israel not J.C. I don't believe the Tanach supports J.C. as Messiah. The Messiah is to be a SERVANT of G-d (human).
@brooklynperson No one killed Yeshua He laid down His own life. But the Roman's nearly begged the Jews to let Him go. The Jews brought Him to the Romans and requested that they execute Him, the Romans beat Him instead and planned to release Him, but they insisted to kill Him and rather than to start a riot Pontius Pilate washed his hands indicating he had no personal interest in killing him and it was their request alone, then Yeshua laid down His life & the curse was upon the Jews as written
@brooklynperson Unfortunately you are only partially correct. The Romans actually performed the crucifixion because the Jews were not allowed by Roman Law to do any such thing. However, they did it at the bequest of the Hebrew Priests . . . which constituted a sacrifice. His death was the fulfillment of all Hebrew prophecies.
@brooklynperson Yeshua died for the sins of the world, Jews and Gentiles, John 3:16, For G-d so loved the world "Jews and Gentiles that He gave His only Son. see Isa 53; Yes the Romans crucified Him physically on the cross but the Jews crucified Yeshua from there hearts, "For all haved sin and fall short of His glory, Rom 3:23.
"And I will pour out on house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son..." Zechariah 10:12... In the revelation of Yeoshua ha..massiaha
I understand your point, I really I do. You are right in realistically. They did indeed deny him as their lord and messiah! But to say that they killed him is also to forget that he himself said that no man taketh his life from him, but that he gives is away on his free will. ( John 10:18 ) He had to die for us, so to blame the jews is kind of pointless.
But you are right they must repent and stop cursing his name! Peace be upon you friend, for defending your lord !!!
"Shema, Ysrael, adonai eloheinu adonai echad." I am a devout Christian, but I do not like it when fellow Christians tell me that the God of Israel is a trinity of 'persons'. Nothing could be further from the truth. My God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is One! I reject the Trinity. The Bible does not preach the Trinity. The Bible preaches absolutely One God by himself! There are no other 'persons' beside Him! May peace be upon Israel. Your Christian friend - Andrew :)
jesus or the blasphemer as many call him has not fulfilled even ONE of the torahs qualifications for the messiah. As the torah says about the law, "do not add one letter or subtract one." Christianity obviously refutes G-ds own words and tries to subvert the truth. The talmud and mishnah add light and illumination to the torah, where the "new" testament only adds darkness and a way for those who truly seek G-d, to go down the road to nothingness and emptyness. One day may you see the light!!!!
Yeshua once stated, "Don't misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish Moshe's Torah or Hachetuvi'im sheHaNevi'im. No, I came to fulfill them. I assure you, until heaven and earth disappear, even the smallest detail of Hashem's Torah will remain until its purpose is achieved. [Matthew 5:17-8, NLT]" Christianity's system of belief is a salad of all sorts; however, the Bible is of Jewish origin. The Brit Chadashah should be taken seriously with a Jewish mindset. It endorses Torah!
With all due respect, read the Holy Scriptures once again. THis includes the part in the Torah where the High Priest had to make intercession on behalf of the sinners. And please, don't go by what the "traditional" rabbis say are the messianic prophecies. Read the bible for yourself and make your own unbiased judgement.
You should not judge Jesus. As a man, he was a great Jewish Rabbi with a very deep understanding of the Torah. You think he is a blashpemer because you are not capable of understanding G-d beyond the written Torah, you do not understand the living Torah, nor have you heard G-d's Voice. So unless the the true Angel of the Presence of God speaks to you as He did to Moshe, you should pray to G-d for forgiveness.
The School of the Pharisees. Nicodemus recognized Yeshua's Rabbinic Ordination when he said: "Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from Hashem: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except Hashem be with him. [John 3:2, KJV]"
Amen! However, not only the dispersed of Judah will be gathered, but the 10 northern tribes of Israel/Ephraim. These, too, are the seed of Avraham that have become the "fullness of the Gentiles". Many of these "children of Israel" are just now beginning to follow the real Yeshua by coming out of the Roman/Greek/pagan church system and choosing, instead, to abide in His Torah. Sh'ma Yisra'el!
Historically, it was a Jewish sect of Nazarines and Ebionites, not a Christian sect. Christianity did not come into existance until the year 343 CE when Constatine institutionalized the Jewish sect called "The Way." It was then that Constantine decided that Christianity should sever themselves from Judaism.
That is some spurious reasoning right there. First off, Ebionites WERE followers of Christ, but not Paul, and why do you think "The Way" existed, demonstrably so, within at least the first century- and long before Constantine and the Roman empire gutted Christianity and took it over, forbidding non-clergy to read the Bible and telling them it said to kill the Jews?
Shalom Alechem Bashem Yeshua. Hillel
Fuckin messianics everywhere, i pray only ONE G_D! no messiah because we see the wars when messaiah come to the land no more wars will be and the Third Temple will be build, and who is the yashua just one fanatic who join the sect that after became a christianic sect and by the powers of rome and greece became a powerful weapon. not religion, there is no G_D when you praying idols like yeshua.
Historically, Christianity severed all ties to the Jewish people sometime in the late fourth century. Then, Church Fathers decided that they do not worship the God of Israel; instead, they claim to worship a "Christian God." This presents a dilemma. The desire to "return to the old ways" truly refers to returning to the ways of the Greeks and the Romans; not the ways of the God of Israel.
Did you know that YAHUSHUA (also called Yeshua) Died physically on the PASSOVER? thus HE is not only our redeemer from our sins, but also.. just like in the time of Mosheh when all Yisraelites had the blood of an unblemished lamb on their doorposts, we are covered in Hearts & souls as a sign so that the judgement (angel of death) will "passover" us in these end-times! Our new everlasting beings live in him as YAHUSHUA IS LIFE Itself... Amen
Hello jewish friends. Shalom. Its great to visit your site to see what's your prayer and so. Well we have alot of things in common. We can't disagree that fact. So yeah as we are commanded to love one another. Lets just follow that command to create the ultimate peace. Salam.

I personally find 'SHMAA' more useful as an interjection.

So can anyone tell me why the verse in Deuteronomy 6:4 is followed by the phrase "Blessed is the glory of his kingdom forever and ever"? Is there a source for this?
WaysOfMan 1 year ago

The Lord is One." Then Yaakov said, "Blessed be the glory of his kingdom forever and ever."
syaw10 1 week ago
@syaw10 You are correct; at least, that's one of many teachings in reference to the Sh'ma. It's a matter of which school of thought you wish to follow. The true source of "Baruch Shem K'vod [...]" may have came from Psalm 72:18-9, and the tradition followed since then. No one knows for sure. The only thing we do know is that there's three schools of thoughts on the matter.

I agree with Nurse Shalom in that point that Jesus impossibly did die for our sins. Each will be held responsible for his own deeds. However, Jesus was a Prophet for Israel.
Nordicmoslem 2 years ago
@Nordicmoslem If He couldn't die for our sins then how is it that a lamb was slain on altars in the old covenant for sins? Was YHWH lying when He said to slay animals for sins? God forbid. Why did the prophet Haggai say the 2nd temple's glory would exceed the first? The 2nd temple was destroyed as prophecied by Yeshua. The only act that makes the 2nd temple greater than that build by Solomon is Yeshua the sacrifice for all. Dig it, ALL our deeds are worthy of damnation, no one is righteous
RSmith1982 1 year ago
@RSmith1982
WaysOfMan 1 year ago
@WaysOfMan The Western Wall was a retaining wall on the hill where the temple was located. It wasn't a wall of the temple itself. I just learned that a week ago.
Birdboy029 11 months ago
@WaysOfMan
The Western Wall is not part of what was the Temple, it was part of the retaining wall surrounding the Temple Mount... look it up.
Thescott2funny 7 months ago
@WaysOfMan It doesn't contradict at all the Western wall is merely the exposed Southwestern portion of the Temple Mount upon which the Holy Temple once stood, and which now supports the Dome of the Rock and the El Aqsa mosque. The Temple itself has long since been utterly and completely obliterated, to the point that scholars still argue about its exact positioning on the mount. What is known is that the Holy of Holies was on the Western end, to be continued...
SSUstufRudel 6 months ago
@WaysOfMan continued - which is the main reason the Western Wall of the platform became so important to later generations of Jews it was as close as they could get to the Holy of Holies without actually going on top of the mount, which the most conservative factions will not do, for fear of profaning it.

Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.' If you are refering to the trinity as the plural of elohim, you are wrong. Study the ancient writings on the subject of trinity. And you will find the trinity as one of the oldest pagan rites developed by Cain, Ham, and Nimrod. This practiced was utilized by every religion in history except the Hebrews. You can not believe the Shma and trinity at the same time, they are diametrically opposed to each other.
ishadamah 3 years ago 2
I agree. The trinitarian doctrine is rooted in polytheistic and ancestrial forms of worship. I worship YHVH, the one and only true G-d of Israel.

As Genesis 18:1 says, "And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre." One of the men who came to eat with Abraham is God. How is that possible?
zarnoffa 3 years ago
So what are you saying? Do you reason that The Heavenly Father took the form of a human being in order to have dinner with Abraham in the plains of Mamre? Do you also reason that The Heavenly Father reincarnates Himself in human form often? It sounds like reincarnation theology to me. Granted, you're depending on an English translation of a Hebrew text that was written over 4,000 years ago. Modern day English grammar rules do not apply in a Semitic Language. What does this Hebrew verse say?
hillel70 3 years ago
It's interesting that some people will try and get around what the Scriptures say by trying to say it's totally beyond our ability to translate into English. The text is clear and isn't cryptic unless you are biased. Also, it is not reincarnation. It's a manifestation of the Holy One as He pleases - or do you limit Him? You'll notice the Holy One appeared to Hagar (who is amazed she survived,) wrestled with Jacob, appeared and spoke to Moses in the bush, and ate and spoke to Abraham...
zarnoffa 3 years ago
Yeshua said, "No man has seen G-d at any time; [...]. [Jn 1:18, KJV]" To view G-d directly has its own consequence. Thus, G-d told Moses: "You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live. [Ex 33:20, NLT]" Israel was very much aware of such a devastating consequence. [Dt 18:16] In fact, sin inhibits man from seeing G-d. [Is 59:2] Since the Bible does not contradict itself, the response to your question relies on what the Hebrew text says.
hillel70 3 years ago
And the Hebrew text is clear: Abraham sat and conversed with God in person. The others I mentioned saw God as well, not God in His full glory as you describe, but in mediated form. You have to accept the whole of Scripture, not just pick and choose what fits your own logic. If the Scripture says the Lord appeared, then the Lord appeared. If you can't tell me what the Hebrew says, don't go pretending it says something otherwise.
zarnoffa 3 years ago
The Hebrew Bible says,
וַיֵּרָא אֵלָיו יְהוָה בְּאֵלֹנֵי מַמְרֵא וְהוּא יֹשֵׁב פֶּֽתַח־הָאֹהֶל כְּחֹם הַיֹּֽום׃
V'yara elav YHVH be'al-nai mamre, v'hu yshav petach-ha hel kech m-hayom."
hillel70 3 years ago
Mankind was created in the image of G-d. [Genesis 1:26-7, 9:6, 1 Cor 11:7] The means by which Hashem makes Himself known is by means of visions and dreams. [Nm 12:6] The Hebrew term "וַיֵּרָא" suggests to perceive a vision thereof. [ref. Strong's H7200] Then again, Abraham may have seen "G-d's image" in these three men. The Bible does not suggest that G-d took the form of a human being to have dinner with my forefather Abraham.
hillel70 3 years ago
Paul also made a similar comment, "Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the L-rd rather than for people. [Col 3:23]" Abraham greeted these men in accordance to the Middle Eastern custom of his day. When he greeted these men, he did it as unto the L-rd because he saw G-d's image in them.
hillel70 3 years ago
And, what does this mean if it doesn't mean that Abraham saw YHVH in the plains of Mamre? There's no other way to translate it. Just accept it.
zarnoffa 3 years ago
No. The Bible does not say that Abraham saw YHVH. The Bible says that YHVH appeared unto Abraham. The difference is between seeing and appearing.
hillel70 3 years ago
Though, in English, it may not make much of a difference, it does make a vast difference in the Hebrew language. We know that Abraham did not see an apparition because later verses states that he met with three men.
hillel70 3 years ago
And one of the "men" was YHVH. You'll notice two of the "men" leave and one remains to converse with Abraham. The conversation is between God and Abraham. It's unavoidable. Also, you're saying YHVH appeared to Abraham, but Abraham did not see YHVH? Seriously.
zarnoffa 3 years ago
Yeshua taught us that G-d is a spirit. [John 4:24] Torah informs us that "God [is] not a man [...] neither the son of man [...]. [Nm 23:19]"
hillel70 3 years ago
The Bible also says that God is invisible. [Col 1:15, 1 Timothy 1:17] Invisible means not visible to the human eye.
hillel70 3 years ago
God is invisible, not because He is limited, but because that is His choice. However, Yeshua said, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Read Genesis 18 with an open heart and mind. Who is Abraham speaking with when two of the angels leave to rescue Lot? Didn't Sarah overhear YHWH make the Promise? How did Sarah audibly overhear YHWH if it was merely a vision of Abraham? I hope you get the Revelation.
zarnoffa 3 years ago
Yes, in the future, mankind will have the ability to see The Heavenly Father face to face and not fear death. However, that is not the current condition that mankind possesses. Yeshua said, "No man has seen G-d at any time; [...]. [Jn 1:18, KJV]" Would you rather prefer to make Messiah out to be a liar?
hillel70 3 years ago
3 men - 2 men = 1 man; 3 men - 2 men ≠ G-d
hillel70 3 years ago
Another means by which the reader can determine that Abraham did not see G-d is that these men continue to refer to YHVH in the third person oppose to the first. [14, 19] In some cases, Bible translators translated anashim as LORD oppose to gentlemen. I understand your frustration. Sadly, your argument is based on an English rendition and not the Hebrew. You lack sufficient evidence and ignore everything else in the Bible to defend your claim. At this point, I have to reject your claim.
hillel70 3 years ago
Hello,
To tell you the truth most of christianity has missed the mark as far as the truth is concerned i believe the apostasy is already happening..think about it most of christianity teaches false doctrines for example the trinity which is blasphemy against YAHWEH when throughout the Tanakh all Israel new him as one and only one then for Him to show himself as 3 is highly illogical and to say that Yeshua was YHVH in the flesh is illogical as well for Yeshua himself prayed to YHVH

Yeshua also taught us that "a spirit hath not flesh and bones" [Luke 24:39, KJV]. Being that G-d is a spirit, He does not possess flesh and bones as we do.

God's Word can become flesh and bone. The question is:
Is God's Word/Image = God?
zarnoffa 3 years ago
Yes God is a spirit but he can be shown to us as a man , as the angel of God , and as Yeshua who IS God. Only God can be called Savior and Lord
alvaromejia27 3 years ago
Concerning the G-d of Israel, Yeshua himself taught his disciples that G-d is a Spirit. [Reference John 4:24] The Scriptures defends G-ds existence by expressing what (יהוה [YHVH]) is not. For instance, Torah informs us something significant about the G-d of Israel, יהוה, is not a man, that He should lie. He is not a human, that He should change His mind. []. [Numbers 23:19, NLT compare with Job 9:32 & Hosea 11:9]
hillel70 3 years ago
When the Torah says "God is not a man that He should lie, He is not a human, that He should change His mind." it means He isn't like us who sin and rebel.
"The LORD is a man of war..." Exodus 15:3
This doesn't mean that YHWH was literally a man in the OT, it was Moses' way of describing God.
However throughout the Scriptures God appears as a man, to Abraham & even Joshua for example, therefore it is not a difficult thing that He would become a man, Jesus, to complete His divine plan
AgApE010 3 years ago
Unfortunately, your claim of association is biased and lack grammatical grounds. Numbers 23:19 and Exodus 15:3 do not corelate with one another.
hillel70 3 years ago
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith HaShem.

This passage says HaShem will dwell in the midst of Israel, then Israel will know that HaShem of hosts has sent HaShem to them. HaShem, in this verse, is Jesus sent by His Father
AgApE010 3 years ago
You're reading into the verse to make it seem something that is not. Contrary to you claim, John said YHVH that will dwell with mankind. John expressed: I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, Hashem's tabernacle is with people, and YHVH will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God [YHVH] himself will be with them as their God. [Rev 21:3, NLT] Messiah also made the same claim in Mt 5:8 about one day seeing El, "Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see YHVH."

PremiumMind 2 years ago
Well you didn't read history or bible. Clearly says He came to die as an atonement sacrifice for all man's sin. So you and me and all the world are guilty for HIS death so a repented for my sins and confessed YAHUWSHUA is king. But the jewish leaders rejected HIm and plotted to kill HIm breaking the law ( Torah) lying ...They refused to accepted Him as messiah so they were guilty is in the bible records
ignacioarg777 2 years ago
PremiumMind 2 years ago
Actually NO ONE killed Yeshua. Yeshua died from a broken heart on the cross after He drank the Wrath of His Father on our behalf and became an ABOMINATION to G-d, to the point where He cried out Eli, Eli, lama sabacht ani... To claim that anyone killed Yeshua is to say that G-d can be killed by man. Taking in the sin of Humanity killed Him, for He became Sin at that moment. HE laid down His life and HE took it up again...This Power was given to Him by the Father...
G-d bless you!

RSmith1982 1 year ago
@brooklynperson Unfortunately you are only partially correct. The Romans actually performed the crucifixion because the Jews were not allowed by Roman Law to do any such thing. However, they did it at the bequest of the Hebrew Priests . . . which constituted a sacrifice. His death was the fulfillment of all Hebrew prophecies.

( John 10:18 ) He had to die for us, so to blame the jews is kind of pointless.
But you are right they must repent and stop cursing his name! Peace be upon you friend, for defending your lord !!!
In Jesus name, Amen

"Shema, Ysrael, adonai eloheinu adonai echad." I am a devout Christian, but I do not like it when fellow Christians tell me that the God of Israel is a trinity of 'persons'. Nothing could be further from the truth. My God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is One! I reject the Trinity. The Bible does not preach the Trinity. The Bible preaches absolutely One God by himself! There are no other 'persons' beside Him! May peace be upon Israel. Your Christian friend - Andrew :)

I agree. Torah prohibits us from etertaining the false notion in the existence of other gods other than Hashem (YHVH).

I always get a kick out of that line. After all, the word "Elohim" is plural. The many theories behind this are very interesting.

jesus or the blasphemer as many call him has not fulfilled even ONE of the torahs qualifications for the messiah. One day may you see the light!!!!
yerushalayim 4 years ago

He was a "Rabbi"?
According to who?
What jewish institution (yeshiva) gave him this title?
arianzo 3 years ago
The School of the Pharisees. Nicodemus recognized Yeshua's Rabbinic Ordination when he said: "Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from Hashem: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except Hashem be with him. [John 3:2, KJV]"
hillel70 3 years ago
There's nothing Christian about the Bible. It is all a Jewish Book based on Jewish principles.

I believe that Mashiach's purpose is to regather the dispersed children of Judah and all those who cling to Mitzvot Torah.
hillel70 4 years ago
Sh'ma Yisra'el!
benYisrael2006 4 years ago
Hence the reason why I included, "... and all those who cling to Mitzvot Torah," meaning sojourners who keep the Shabbat. [Reference Isaiah 63:1-8]

God prophetically told the young christian sect to flee to Pella. So they did not get wiped out with the rest of them in Jerusalem.
Boenairgeez 4 years ago
Historically, it was a Jewish sect of Nazarines and Ebionites, not a Christian sect. Christianity did not come into existance until the year 343 CE when Constatine institutionalized the Jewish sect called "The Way." It was then that Constantine decided that Christianity should sever themselves from Judaism.
hillel70 4 years ago
That is some spurious reasoning right there. First off, Ebionites WERE followers of Christ, but not Paul, and why do you think "The Way" existed, demonstrably so, within at least the first century- and long before Constantine and the Roman empire gutted Christianity and took it over, forbidding non-clergy to read the Bible and telling them it said to kill the Jews?

Merci.

I still disagree, G_D alone is our salvation, our redeemer. G_D and only G_D. Baruch Hashem to all.
sternfan75 4 years ago
Disagree with what? I agree that G-d alone is G-d and only G-d. What are we debating about?
hillel70 4 years ago
Did you know that YAHUSHUA (also called Yeshua) Died physically on the PASSOVER? thus HE is not only our redeemer from our sins, but also.. just like in the time of Mosheh when all Yisraelites had the blood of an unblemished lamb on their doorposts, we are covered in Hearts & souls as a sign so that the judgement (angel of death) will "passover" us in these end-times! Our new everlasting beings live in him as YAHUSHUA IS LIFE Itself... Amen
