  • i workout at home and have built some weird contraptions which probably arent that safe, like a squat rack with a chair and board which wobbles like shit but hasnt yet busted through my bedroom floor, i think eventually when i do outlift my weights(i only have 100kg of plates) ill have to join the gym.

  • lol I live in a tiny little studio efficiency apartment... I have a bed/tv/keyboard, guitars and all that shit. In the corner of my room, I have 1 weight bar, a stack of weights, some pushup handles my dad made, and a dip machine in the corner of the dining room. I started back in December and I'm stronger than I ever have been in my entire life right now.

    My home is more important because that's where i prepare my good diet and where I beat my pussy up and get some sleep.

  • Right now until I get money for the Gym I have been doing pull up's, Sit up's, Push up's for only two sets each. I run 3 miles every other day and I have built up to that. Been doing that for about 3-4 months and I feel amazing. My shoulders which use to slump feel wide and strong. I just need to get into the gym and utilize the advice the twins have been giving. I soak this stuff up like a sponge.

  • shit bitch, i got a power rack (w/ pulley), 350lbs of plates, dumbbells (25-80), olympic bar, curl bar, weight tree, and a bench on craigslist, near mint condish for 300 bones (msrp 950+ easy). live beside a high school track/football field thats no longer in use but still maintained, use that shit for cardio

    only part about working out at home that sucks is no spotter unless u housin a bitch or live w/ mama and pap pap. still beat droppin 360/yr at sum shitty gym dealin with goons.

  • You can build muscle at your house as long as you got a bench press.

    I only paid 150 dollars for a bench press that has incline and flat. It can hold up to 300 lbs on uprights.

    I also do shoulder presses with it and have adjustable dumbbells for bicep curls and misc. exercises.

    Working legs are my main issue.

  • I got pro equipment at the house....it is expensive but it pays for itself in 2 years or sometimes less at the gym...plus I save time b/c I have to be at work at 6:30am so I basically save 1.5 hours of travel time...that saves money/time too...it all adds up. Some people might not have the space, that'd prob be the only reason I wouldn't have equipment at the house. But hey....you can do whatever the FUCK you wanna do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • TBH, All you need is a barbell and enough weight in plates, and you can work every muscle in your body.

    I lift at home, and every time I work out I get sore and burn the shit out of my muscles (in a good way).

    Working out at home is cheap and convenient, I prefer it to working out at a local gym.

  • Cost me around $100 for a pull up station/dip station and captain's chair all in one. Just like the ones you see at the gym. Best equipment I ever brought.

    You really need a power rack as well for squats, it can be done at home but you are going to have equipment everywhere.

    I couldn't believe it, I've found in my neighbourhood, 5-10 minutes on a bike, no less that 4 parks that have pull up bars high enough for a 6'3" dude like myself. I can even do a circuit training. Parallel bars, as well.

    Just look around your neighbourhood, pretty much every other block has one park, you'll be surprised

    Home workouts are seen as having a few light dumbbells, no bench, maybe a pullup bar etc. not huge stuff from the gym at your house, taking up all your space.
