Yes, but Vista's performance drags behind all the other OS's. Same specs between a Vista and XP computer, XP will run faster, way faster. Besides, I'll probably alter my BIOS to handle 4GB RAM anyway.

Yes you can. Loads of people do it. 4GB is the most that 32bit can handle, Windows 32bit can only handle 3 or what ever it is, but it's not 32bit that limiting it to that, it's Windows. That's why some people get 64bit, it can run over 4GB and doesn't require being altered.

you cant...its not the bios that is incompatible with the 4gb of ram its the os you would have to alter the os to handle the 4gb of ram which like i said you wont be able to.

you could put 4GB of RAM in a pc with XP 32bit, but it would only recognise 3GB of RAM not 4GB.

And CRYSIS73 is right, its not the bios that would need to be altered, it would be the OS that would need to be altered to manage 4GB RAM.

Yea thats possible if its not tri sli. I would check tiger direct, newegg, and micro center for parts. I just build id say about a 1200 system and its bad ass man. I got the new i7 and 6gig of ddr3 all wrapped up in a antec 1200 case with the gtx 9800 black edition 1gig on board ddr3 ram gpu. I run linux most of the time unless gaming so its crazy fast in ubuntu and sabyaon. Vista is ok i quess still slower then linnux and mac and still very hungry.

Retro, I'd believe it. I have two 4850s that can do about 30fps on Very High at 1600x1200 with an AMD quad at 2.8GHz. If koz has a wolfdale or something at 4GHz it's very possible with his 4870X2.

I know that resolution is a little higher than what I have, 1440 by 900, but come on, that seems week for triple SLI, I got low to mid 30s with a single card, a Q6600, and 4GB of RAM. The thing I don't like about benchmarking is that it makes excessive writes to the hard drive, which can add a small latency. Cool video, though.

I hope Maxishine knows that response time in moniters contributes to frame rates. Apple Cinema displays have 16ms response time, not a very good GAMING moniter. Also you would get better framerates if Crysis wasn't poorly optimized. lol expect Crysis Warhead to have better optimization.

Crysis is overrated. All it is is a benchmark game. Besides, any resolution higher than your running now is screwy on any pc with any gpu. Not saying you have a bad comp, it's nice and gets the job done. But if you're going to show a benchmark just use the software.

crysis has no "ultra high" the highest setting is "very high" so he's not lying, it is maxed, and how is 3x8800ultra oc'ed compared to 9800gx2 quad sli? i think the ultras would be better, but im not sure...and a QX6700 on water cooling @ 3.4ghz? i guess those things run hot because the non extreme version gets higher on air

This vid was added jan 21st. The 1.2 patch adds better quad support, crysis has always been buggy w/ quadcores, still is actually. Also keep in mind Crysis is probably the biggest resource whore of a game currently, this game is graphically top of the line.
