I suspect the closing of PI @ WDW was because of craziness that was going on there ( that I have seen firsthand) but they claim it was to put on more shopping and restaurants. Pure B.S. A few years back, I was with my cousin and nephew waiting to get a Jack Sparrow to sign my nephew's booklet, when suddenly this 20-23 year old girl waltzes up and flashes Jack Sparrow! His expression was hilarious, quite literally like "O_o". My nephew,who was 8 aty the time just says "Niceeee". XD I do believe the woman was reported. Then, the next time I visited the park, no more Jack :(

Disney removes characters for loads of reasons. If guests aren't as motivated to wait in line and get a picture with Jack Sparrow, then they're gonna cut him for another character they can push. Jack draws attention to the older guests at Disney for a meet and greet. I think they should bring him back.

Originally it was because teenage girls were flashing the Jack Sparrow actors. That ended up being false and just something made-up by one of the actors that got fired. The real reason ended up being that Jack Sparrow was "losing popularity and relevance" which I call BS on! And so they could hire more Tinkerbell actresses to promote that Tinkerbell movie.

At Diseyland he is all over the place. He spent 15 minutes doing an act with my 18 year old daughter - took her purse and everything. We went to Disneyworld (I like Disneyland SO much better) and the Jack Sparrow character doesn't interact with you at all - he does a show and puts some 6 year olds in there but he won't interact with adults like the one at Disneyland does.

Hehehe. All the guys that do Jack Sparrow at Disneyland play their parts very well. Not to mention they do some of the weirdest stuff. Last time we went, my cousin went to get Jack's autograph. They just stared at eachother for a few seconds not saying anything. Then Jack just takes my cousin's autograph book and leaves. It was helarious. But then a Disneyland worker brought the book back with Jack's autograph and a message from Jack saying "You're pen doesn't work and your book is stinky." XD

The Jack Sparrow at Disneyland is an awesome guy. He really obliges the fangirl population; he'll give you a kiss if you want (on the cheek) and is willing to do crazy poses. Its really amazing that he has an ability to stay in character yet oblige the more ostentatious guests with something they will really remember. Its awesome!
