@perspectivehorizon I have a Mavic hub that has about 1,500 miles on it, from day one the freewheel continuously spins the cranks. If I have the bike on a stand and pedal the bike and than stop pedaling, the front cranks continue to spin. I was told the hub needs to break in, what should I do?
The front hub uses maintenance-free cartridge bearings. All that you can do is adjust bearing preload or replace the cartridge bearings (only should be done by your LBS)
Thank you for this very informative, thorough and helpful video. I just did this yesterday to my Crossmax XL and it turned out perfect.
Is there regular maintenance that should be done to the front Mavic Hub as well? If so, could you be so kind to post it? Thanks again for your great work!
Thanks John!
