This video is probably the defining flaghship of the pop music video of the 1980s. As for duran druan, back then, it was something exciting waiting to see what new video they had to go with their music. It was a bit of history. Now, music videos are just taken for granted and I think thats the difference: back then it was a new phenomena; it was incredible that a bit of music had a video that was as costly as a Hollywood blockbuster. Duran duran - not everyones taste but so talented.

This was our 3rd Grade school song XD

During our School's Foundation Day every class performs an interpretative dance of a particular song based on a theme set by the school administrators. For example, interpretative dances based on Asian songs, western songs etcetera.

During third grade back in the 80's we had to do a song by Duran Duran & this was our piece :)

I still remember the steps to the dance in spite it being 25 years ago :)

THE DIRECTOR OF THIS VIDEO (RUSSELL MULACHY) DIRECTED THE VAST AMOUTN OF DURAN DURAN VIDEOS AND ASKED DURAN DURAN TO WRITE A SONG FOR HIS NEW FILM. THE FILM DID NOT GET MADE AND MULACHAY WENT ON TO MAKE MAD MAX. HE ALSO DID HIGHLANDER, MAD MAX 1 AND RAZORBACK. THE WILD BOYS WAS A NOVEL BY WILLIAM BURROUGHS AND WAS ABOUT A BAND OF SURVIVORS AFTER A NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST AND THIS VIDEO AIMS TO REFLECT AS DOES THE LYRICS.
