  • Can we use your song at lodge.

  • I don't see why not.. songs are for healing.. they are here to help us.

  • I just moved to TX from MN, and see no Native people, Im black too, but have a name (White Cloud) and know my liniage, i miss the Native community in south mpls ( Little Earth) and all my Native Brothers and Sisters.... peace....

  • @thirdeyeseeyou ........you could travel from Newfoundland to British Columbia up here and see natives the whole way!

  • can you put the lyrics that would be nice, my son is just starting to learn and it would help, thanks

  • sorry your*

  • For you information there is such thing as a rain dance it is a dance done to call the water spirit to water the crops to have good healthy water fall from father sky on to our gardens and larger crops as well. Just thought I would share. Very beautiful song..

  • i believe this song it self is not to be shared in this format along with the drum. It takes aways from it.

  • Meegweetch!

  • very powerful song, ty

  • I think I saw you guys at a pow-wow in Toronto? You are great drummers and singers and I love Ojibway culture. I was raised in Elliot Lake.

  • You guys make good music!! Question if you choose to answer it or not... what is oshawagabo?? Is it in reference to the color blue, and standing??

  • Oshawagabo is in reference to a Brown Bear Standing. It is the name of the young man on the right.

  • The Thunerbirds are GO !! :)

    (little joke )

seriously , is this rain dance music ?

  • No... nothing to do with raindance. Actually I don't know anything about raindancing... I think that's something dreamt up about by hollywood or non-natives. However, some other native groups might have something called the raindance, but we don't. This is just known as a Thunderbird song, and there is teachings behind this song but they are not meant to be shared in this type of format.

  • @maangequay the rain dance was actually made up by native people, because the sun dance was outlawed in the states around sitting bull's time, the sioux had told them that the dance they were doing wasnt the sun dance it was the rain dance and they would bring rain to water the farmers' crops.

  • @CrassClown9967 Thank you for the information you shared. .. it has nothing to do with a raindance, this is a Thunder Bird Song..

  • It was taught to us by Walter Redsky.

  • we're from Northwestern Ontario, Ojibway country.

  • ohh sweet did you ever play in a pow wow?

    (Nextar25)

  • yes...

  • how often do you go to Ottawa? i need to listen to this in person, the real thing is different from the computer
