Benoit actually won the F. Nippon championship in 2006 and the Super GT (also in Japan) in 2008, so he finishes most of the races and doesn't crash much. But when he does, it's normally a big one.
Haven't seen a video yet but I did witness it in person! He slid off the track on a bump, became airbourne before hitting the wall and tumpling through the gravel trap. I was pretty shocked to see that especially since there was no movement for quite a while. luckily he escaped unharmed
you can't see what really happend, where is the cam before the hill? a fact is that Treluyer made a mistake in spoon corner so the guy behind was able to close the gap and in his slipstream he probably tried to pass on the straight. maybe Treluyer changed line when he shoudn't and the front wheel of the other car collided with Treluyers rear wheel tyre spinning the car against the barriers. end of the season Treluyer was just 1 point behind his teammate Matsuda.
It's international, but people can still post in their own language, of course some will not understand, but everybody has the right to comunicate to the person of their won country in their own language, Imagine if every people in the world spoke the same language? How boring it would be, everybody has it's personal things and the language is one of them, so I see no problems in different languages here, if you want you can post in german too
I don't have a problem with comments not written in English, but I think the world would be a better place if everyone spoke the same language. There'd be less suspicion and mistrust, with nations living harmoniously.
I greatly respect any foreigner who is fluent in the often illogical English language!

dead?

Surprisingly no. His crew were all crying because they thought they had a death on their hands, but Benoit survived, in fact pretty much walked away.

Unfortunatelly there is no other angles :( Treluyer had only a small knee injury after the crash, but nothing serious.
Lucasjeha 4 years ago

現地でこの映像がビジョンに映し出されたときは背中に寒気を感じた!しかしこれでフォーミュラニッポンのマシンの安全性は確認されましたね

It's a good thing to know, before watching clip, that Treluyer was unhurt in this accident. Unbelievable, though. :-O

丁度鈴鹿の裏ストレートで見てた。飛んできたエンジン部はコックピットから100m位吹っ飛んでた・・・。コックピットは逆さまだったけど、トレルイエの首は動いてたので、ちょっと安心した。
