  • In reply to kattaca80: Any operator of a water system is required by law to insure that the water has a mimimum level of chlorine to provide a RESIDUAL disinfection capability in the water. It is NOT ENOUGH that the water be free from harmful bacteria when it leaves the treatment plant. It must also be able to withstand the possibility of contamination afterwards. THAT is the purpose of having chlorine remain in the water all the way to your tap.

  • I don't like the idea of drinking chlorine either. However, the onion does not absorb the chlorine from the water. You are using the onion to show us that our skin as well as anything we might be washing in the water absorbs the chlorine. So where did the chlorine go? Nowhere. Vitamin C neutralizes chlorine. Onions (as well as the other veggies you mentioned you could use) are high in vitamin C. You do another demo using your fingers. Again skin also contains vitamin C.

  • i told my mom and she said i dont care >.>

  • Gastric acid is a digestive fluid, formed in the stomach. It has a pH of 1 to 2 and is composed of hydrochloric acid (HCl) (around 0.5%, or 5000 parts per million), and large quantities of potassium chloride (KCl) and sodium chloride (NaCl). The acid plays a key role in digestion of proteins, by activating digestive enzymes, and making ingested proteins unravel so that digestive enzymes can break down the long chains of amino acids

  • so can you use the onion water to put it in the aquarium for the fish? cause chlorine kills fish

  • Kangen Water talks!

  • @cfsjourney You people are always sending everybody to some website. There must've millions of them, yet SCIENCE always triumphs. Get your head out of your paranoid conspiracy ass!

  • it's time to stand up against our governemnt there killing us....if we don't wake up a new world order is coiming and we are not in the picture..look up in every sate there are new consintration camps buit with 100,000s of coffins next to rail roads..do your homework and stop watching the news..its all propaganda..wake up..its time

  • I agree we need to filter our water, but this video is soooo BOGUS, its totally unscientific. For instance The 5 drops of test solution in the MEASURED amount of pool water, AT LEAST should have been adjusted for the UNmeasured cup of tap water.

Further as you stated, you "don't know whats in the test solution drops", sooo, the tap water changing color could have simply been a chemical reaction, Not necessarily chlorine absorption! Come ON!

  • @1derpuppy your bogus. the solution she is using bonds with chlorine molecules thats why the water changes color. the fact that she used the same amount of drops in a greater amount of tap water just shows how much more chlorine there is your tap. you dont know dick about chemistry. thats basic stuff

  • what the fuck? swimming pool water? sick fucking hippies. Don't like fluoride? Fine. Don't drink it and let your teeth rot, dumbfucking hippies.

  • @trekkian88 Lol. She's only demonstrating how much chlorine is in tap water, comparing with the pool. As for fluoride, its a known neurotoxin. Teeth do not need fluoride. They used Fluoride in Nazi concentration camps to keep the prisoners "Dumb". Search youtube for "Professor Paul Connett: Your Toxic Tap Water" and watch, its rather facinating, and I assure you you'll think differently afterwards.

  • we shud all use onions to filter our waters...LOL

  • If you want to drink the cleanest water on earth, then get yourself a distiller and drink distilled water! Distilled water is the purest form of H2O. And before someone starts to talk about "how distilled water pulls out minerals from your body and has lower PH" I would recommend to stop right now because I myself and my family drink distilled water for 25 years and have perfect health. So forget about all this "water magic people" who only wants to sell their product. Drink distilled water!

  • kangenwater doesn't remove fluoride which is a neurotoxin.. any old cheap active carbon filter can remove chlorine.. even by allowing water to sit in your fridge for a day.. or by warming water on the stove for an hour or so, you can remove chlorine..

  • thank you

  • you people who side with allowing government to slowly kill us, make me vomit! How long and how many pre-mature deaths will it take before you realize how crooked our Uncle Sam is? There are so many facts being being "ignored" by the FDA ( thanks to their being in Big Pharma's pockets ) that are literally responsible for the "condition" of U.S. residents. They are ALL Liars, thieves and Muderers and they MUST be stopped...And SOON!

  • @jnj555 Love your comment!! Amen

  • makes me lol, people who think they are chemists but clearly aren't. go get an education, you clearly do not know how to make a fair comprrison.

usa an accurate pH metre and same sample size for a start, and use a better indicator if you cant afford a pH metre.

  • Chlorine added to drinking water is mandated because it makes water safe to drink.

Chlorine in water is not dangerous for rinsing foods or bathing.

Chlorine is used in pools to insure that the water does not harbor E. Coli and other deadly pathogens.

If chlorine were used in 3rd world countries to treat drinking water, many water related deaths could be avoided.

The test chemical used in this video is orthotolidine, available at pool stores, Wal-Mart, etc.

  • @def1938 go fuckin kill yourself.

  • I guess you swimming for 10min or less or just like you said you are soaking all of the Chlorine through your skin. The same as drinking it.

  • What brand of Chlorine test drops are those?

  • Chemistry is shit and boring

  • what drop are those ?

  • What I find really interesting is the fact that this lady is sooo careful about her drinking water and the shower water, but she sees no problem swimming in the chlorinated swimming pool! As far as I know swimming in the chlorine is the same as bathing or drinking it. You can't get away from the chemicals- you must cleanse your body at the cellular level on a regular basis. exxelbeyond.isagenixdotcom

  • "its a swimming pool...i dont drink my swimming pool water"

what about your kids, pets, birds....

  • I would of been interested in this if ALL her samples were of the same size, she put 5 drops in cups AND a small maybe 20 ml sample?

  • So sad that people actually fall for stuff like this.

    1) When using liquid reagents to test for chemicals, the sample size must be the same for the sake of comparison. That cup was much larger than the the first sample.

    2) The onion did not absorb chlorine. The colour of the mixture changes based on the composition of the sample. Adding the onion simply changed the composition.

Google what this lady is talking about and you yourself will see the first few pages are all filtration gimmicks.

  • Aquasana is the best in my opinion. I have used their filters even before they took over the company Equinox. The best way to use filtered water is at the "Point Of Use". This means when the water comes out of the tap/faucet. This way it isn't contaminated by even the pipes in your house, like a whole house unit. So I recommend counter-top and shower filters for the best water.

  • Thanks for making this video. Its important for people to see this. We have to stand together and demand a new public water system - its not good enough.

Why dont they just make a really big version of that water filter system you have for municipal water?

Cause the people our governments buy chlorine off would be unhappy...thats why. Lets stand up people, and fight for our basic human right to clean water!

  • Greatinfo! I have been researching this issue for days. There are so many water filters out there. I have read Aquasana is #1 and Culligan #2. This consensus was reached with only one type of water filter from each company. My question is, "why did you choose Culligan over Aquasana"? Also, I prefer the faucet mounts. Are they just as good.
