Wow, I wish I knew someone like you Undead Viking… Woodstock Ontario is like the barren wastes of boardgaming society (insert epic sad face with single tear rolling down pouting cheek). Maybe one day I can start going to those awesome conventions in the good ol’ US of A and I might have the luck of running into you.
Keep up the great series of videos (I miss Scott’s videos too so we need people like you to do them) and all the best to you and your family in 2012.
Nice retrospective! I could relate to many of the experiences as a kid, fascinated with D&D, and then building my board game library. Hope to see more!
Congratualtions on your 100th review! Some of the rather complex games that you have taken the time to review and display could be a daunting task, but you put them together and give me exactly the information I was looking for. Thank you!
Oh, and I agree about Scott Nicholson and Tom Vasal. they've done a lot for gaming and gamers in general. In fact, all the people you shouted out! Keep up the great work. And I've become totally hooked on marco and calandale videos! Oh, and UndeadViking! ;)

Great opening! I went from D&D to talisman, too. We played soooo much Talisman. I build my own "Hell" expansion. Hand-drew the board and made 150 cards out of index cards I cut down to size. Wow, haven't thought about that is forever! Ha, I just paused this vid to watch the other one so I saw the baby show! :D And is that a prototype you were showing off?
It's my favorite game, too. I've been an H.P. Lovecraft fan since before most of my friends were out of grade school. When this game came out, I was like "Wow, they actually capture the feel of the stories." And that's not easy in any medium, from game to movies. Now I'll watch the review! :D
My start into the world of D&D was very much the same as yours, also born in 71 with 2 older brothers who played D&D. Only difference is that the books were not allowed at my school, so it took me longer to find a group.

Seriously! Don't watch this until the other video is up and running! You are going to miss out on the context...
