  • do you have a tut for this curly fro?

  • Your hair did look great in this video =)!! Great vid.

  • I noticed that when I curl my hair with a clamp on the curling iron, it doesn't make a compleate curl. But when I curl my hair over the clamp it does make a curl. It seems weird to me. My hair is fairly long, its below my shoulders. Do you know why it does this?

  • What's the differences between vegetable glycerin and just plain glycerin? Which one is the best for your hair?

  • Yes my lovely "natural" sista is having a beautiful hair day here looking great . Thanks for sharing your experience and advice! *****5

  • If I do my hair at 9pm it wont be dry by morning either. That's normal. I'd suggest that she just do her hair earlier if she can, but if she can't, maybe she could wet her hair a bit less when she twists it.

  • i had a nice big fro before i started flat ironing my hair. It never curled back after that and now I will never do it again.

  • Love your hair.! my hair is curly super kinky natural.but iwant it to have my curls like yours!!

  • love you hair! you might like mixed chicks detangler--it is called mixed chicks deep.

  • Your hair rocks sista ! I can't wait to get there.

  • is that a braid out? do your prefer giovanni over jason products?

  • it's a curly fro :) yeah, i would say i prefer Giovanni's

  • do you think natural hair grown out faster?

  • depends on whether you're straightening it. heat free hair grows out the fastest in my opinion. :)

  • do you think conditioning helps growth or just overall health?

  • conditioning keeps it moisturized which keeps it from breaking which allows you to retain length. So a bit of both.

  • Thanks for this! Looking forward to the twistout prep vid.

  • Great video! We need all the help we can get on this journey!

  • My hair didn't start to curl/coil until I started using natural products...

  • I totally agree with relireal.

I live in arizona a not so diverse place.

The sisters are trying to start a natural hair group. I am hoping it happens.

  • oh that would be cool! you especially need this in towns where it's not seen because you need some visibility and it's much higher in numbers :)

  • You Are So Motivational.

I think a promising career is in the making for you. Lots of women are looking for knowledge and to bond.

  • Thanks! I may have to have my own website one of these days, I don't consider myself that knowledgeable but if you all like what I have to say and what I'm sayin works for ya, then hey awesome hahahha :)

  • Wow lot of comments already. As far as your hair washing video perhaps you can get a friend to film you doing it. Should be fun to watch.

  • Great Video!!

  • Beautiful Hair...Very Full!

  • for Q1...

it also could be the simple fact that she has a losser curl like a 3a/b or any before that, where its less curly and more wavy to almost straight.idk without seeing obviously, just one possible theory.

  • you're very right, I'd wonder why someone with 3a hair would even need a perm though, that's so odd to me..but that could be!

  • possibly because she could have thick 3a hair. with like a afro like texture.

  • Cosigning lisaspointofview...you present with energy and humor and a good light source, lol. And can I thank you for NOT having music in the background?

Re Q3: Tighter textures should keep large twists in if they don't want to deal with manipulating shrunken hair later. I make 10 and keep them in for 2-4 hours (I too should probably wash right when I get home but I don't) and then I make two smaller twists out of each twist. Works for me.

Also, prior to twisting, try to blot the hair damp.

  • Thanks so much for the nice words, they're words of encouragement! I try to be educational and serious but I'm not a serious person so you all get a nice balance lol :)

music distracts me and sometimes it's louder than the person lol

  • A Long video only bore people when the host is boring ... You are great Autumn keep the info coming and make your videos longer we would love that

  • aw thank you :)

  • also her friend hair texture may not curl.

  • Yeah, I noticed too that your hair was looking especially good!! Did you do anything different?

  • thanks :) not really, i'm not sure what it was, maybe the shea butter with leave in :)

  • Beautiful hair....& great advice/tips!!

  • yes, thanks for the tips. And your hair is super gorgeous. I tried that technique after seeing your video and my hair turned out nice for two days. I need find a heavy moisturiser, the twist and lock stuff is very drying ...

  • for the first question, there could be split ends and splitting throughout the hair strand caused by using the wrong shampoo or shampooing to much. This will also prevent the hair from forming it's natural curl. I had this issue and I've been using ApHogee 2 step treatment which is helping bring my curls back. And I know that was the issue because I haven't used heat (blow dry, iron) in over a year.

  • Oooohh...thanks for sharing your own experience here. That's a great point--not to be overlooked as well!!

  • I looooove long vids. I tend to watch yt more than tv nowadays so...i love when the vids are long.

  • me tooooo! :-)

  • you have pretty hair i like how it looks!

  • thannks!
