I noticed that when I curl my hair with a clamp on the curling iron, it doesn't make a compleate curl. But when I curl my hair over the clamp it does make a curl. It seems weird to me. My hair is fairly long, its below my shoulders. Do you know why it does this?
If I do my hair at 9pm it wont be dry by morning either. That's normal. I'd suggest that she just do her hair earlier if she can, but if she can't, maybe she could wet her hair a bit less when she twists it.
Thanks! I may have to have my own website one of these days, I don't consider myself that knowledgeable but if you all like what I have to say and what I'm sayin works for ya, then hey awesome hahahha :)
it also could be the simple fact that she has a losser curl like a 3a/b or any before that, where its less curly and more wavy to almost straight.idk without seeing obviously, just one possible theory.
Cosigning lisaspointofview...you present with energy and humor and a good light source, lol. And can I thank you for NOT having music in the background?
Re Q3: Tighter textures should keep large twists in if they don't want to deal with manipulating shrunken hair later. I make 10 and keep them in for 2-4 hours (I too should probably wash right when I get home but I don't) and then I make two smaller twists out of each twist. Works for me.
Also, prior to twisting, try to blot the hair damp.
Thanks so much for the nice words, they're words of encouragement! I try to be educational and serious but I'm not a serious person so you all get a nice balance lol :)
music distracts me and sometimes it's louder than the person lol
yes, thanks for the tips. And your hair is super gorgeous. I tried that technique after seeing your video and my hair turned out nice for two days. I need find a heavy moisturiser, the twist and lock stuff is very drying ...
for the first question, there could be split ends and splitting throughout the hair strand caused by using the wrong shampoo or shampooing to much. This will also prevent the hair from forming it's natural curl. I had this issue and I've been using ApHogee 2 step treatment which is helping bring my curls back. And I know that was the issue because I haven't used heat (blow dry, iron) in over a year.
do you have a tut for this curly fro?

What's the differences between vegetable glycerin and just plain glycerin? Which one is the best for your hair?

do you think natural hair grown out faster?
TarotLadyLissa 3 years ago 2
depends on whether you're straightening it. heat free hair grows out the fastest in my opinion. :)
curlychronicles 3 years ago
do you think conditioning helps growth or just overall health?
TarotLadyLissa 3 years ago
conditioning keeps it moisturized which keeps it from breaking which allows you to retain length. So a bit of both.

Thanks for this! Looking forward to the twistout prep vid.

I totally agree with relireal.
I live in arizona a not so diverse place.
The sisters are trying to start a natural hair group. I am hoping it happens.

oh that would be cool! you especially need this in towns where it's not seen because you need some visibility and it's much higher in numbers :)

you're very right, I'd wonder why someone with 3a hair would even need a perm though, that's so odd to me..but that could be!
curlychronicles 3 years ago
possibly because she could have thick 3a hair. with like a afro like texture.
