Totally. The ending gives me a knot in my throat - the one you get when you just want to of sob. Just illustrates the powerful acting in this film. Apparently Elizabeth Shue was nominated for an Oscar (which doesn't surprise me) for her role in this film, but unfortunately didn't win. Whoever she was up against that year must have been pretty amazing too for her not to have won. I believe Nicholas Cage won best actor at the Oscars for his role in Leaving Las Vegas. Well deserved.
