  • I get sound stutter on older ROMs like Xevious and Donkey Kong. I am considering learning how to use the command line version of MAME so I can fine tune the frequency of the sounds and frame rate. Now I'm starting to understand why a CRT monitor is better.

  • What about Plasma TV's? They seem to have less jaggies from my experience. Has anyone tried MAMe on a plasma?

  • Secure your lens cap.

  • wow that works great on my computer and lcd monitor runs the games perfect thanks

  • I'm not able to tell if that's an HDTV you were using, but I keep wondering if lowing sharpness would help regain some of that quality.

  • I got the W G 9800 this week there are no more jaggies.. thank god :-) building the mk arcade tomorrow

  • Believe it or not, but you helped me out a lot. I was wondering if it was just me with the lcd and if it really made a difference on an arcade monitor 15 khz. I'm thinking about ripping one off an old cab, and getting an arcade vga to see the difference. But have you played marvel vs capcom 2 and seen a difference. On my lcd it looks atrocious!

  • Yeah (love that game) this differecne is about the same as mk. the arcade monitors really make those games look wonderful. Also the image inhancements on mame 32 plus plus don't cause as much slow down on the capcom games.

  • thanks alot fro your help. Im building a mk cabinet for mame.. what monitor do you have?, and where did you get it?
