Very painful viewing - it's difficult not to feel angry at what happened to MGR. The government SHOULD have stepped in - when you see what MGR had lined up despite having no money, you can only despair at the lack of investment.
75 Coupe, G series diesel, sourcing of new , better parts so that they weren't beholden to BMW, the RD60, plans for the Rover 95 and 35, K series euro compliant engines etc.
BMW, P4, the Labour goverment, but mostly the British Public themselves are responsible.
Rover always has and always will remain my favorite car manufacturer, no one can ever change that, and my favorite car is the SD1, always has been, always will be. RIP Rover.

Rover did some great cars but let themselves down in late eighties and nineties but rover 75/T was a great car also k-series head gasket problem was shocking imagine if that had been eradicated they would of sold many more cars especially TFs, ZRs AND ZS.
I love cars, but one brand shone above as the loyal motoring hero. the cars people mocked but couldnt help love its handsome styling and rumble, ok these ladies had flaws but they were all princesses! I pray and live in hope these beautiful works of art will return, as any Rover rolls past in a luxurios dance I always turn my head to see.
