Kinda reminds me of my first burnout. Held the brakes and floored it and instead of burning out I just locked up the front and moved forward but at least I burned em. Second time I launched while racing a friend in a sable and I burned all the way through first and was still pulling away and kept pulling away till i let off.

From the looks of things he has probally done this one to many times and burnt up the damn torque convertor.. Doing brake stands alot creates alot of heat in your torque converter and can damage it really fast..Yeah burnouts are awesome and I used to do them.. But now I think I will leave it up to others.. Once you get the tires broke loose your fine but if your doing like this guy you will need a new tranny or convertor soooooooooon..

actually. kinda sounds like a 305. they didn't put many 350's in the shorty stepsides. reason being is that a 350 stepside shorty 2 wheel drive is faster than a 454ss. but only if you had a manual. i may be wrong if it's a 305 or not, but it would be my guess. sharp lookin chevy by the way!
