  • I love my prius!:-)

  • Did you know the batteries in the prius contain nickel. Which is mined in Canada and causes massive amounts of pollution and acid rain. Its then shipped to Europe to be refined and then to china to be made into nickel foam. IF YOU BUY THE PRIUS BECAUSE YOU WANT TO HELP THE ENVIROMENT YOUR AN IDIOT

  • I love my Prius and Hybrids - it's a great start - can't wait for a full electric car, the Tesla Model S is looking very good!

  • I LOVE MY PRIUS!

  • LOVE Prius... i have a VID bout it :-) too

  • Oh spare me! It's all a scam! The production of a prius, or any hybrid for that matter, releases more pollution than almost any other car. Besides, you can get numerous small cars or diesels that has better fule economy. Don't you know that in the long run, a Prius is more environmentally damaging than any huge SUV? If you want a real eco-car, wait for the real stuff, the hydrogen powered cars. All this other nonsense is just that: nonsense.

  • yea u wont like this when u cnt stop...fuck toyota

  • Did you know if you're driving on the highway in a Prius, if you stick your hand out the window, the vehicle will tuuuuuuuuurrrn?

  • Buy a diesel car like a 1600cc tcdi ford Focus, 50mpg in the town, 70mpg motorway, 120mph and 0-60mph in 10s. Much more efficient than the Prius. A prius will ALWAYS start the engine for the 1st few miles to warm it up, that is a disadvantage. It also drives for 3 miles before the battery is dead. They are a waste of money.

  • my dad got me a 2002 prius for my birthday and the battery sucks i dont like them

  • @YoCupcake exactly, they have been left behind. 4 years of research? Others have advanced and moved on leaving the prius 10 years behind. A modern diesel car is a lot cheaper to run and service, tax and insure. Why not have a diesel prius or a small generator to drive the electric motor!

  • i cant believe this video says you dont sacrifice style or lose the joy of driving. LOL!!!

  • Great vid. interesting comments. People are free to drive what they want within reason. Having hybrid cars is an important part of our move toward better fuel economy and less dependence on foreign oil.

People like different things in a vehicle and that explains a lot of the debate here.

Cleaner more efficient diesel engines are also important to sustainable living. In time diesel will use a variety of plant oils. Since plants take carbon out of the air it is carbon neutral.

  • That's nice and all, but I think I'll still buy a diesel in a couple of years.

  • umm at 1:00 why is it a toyota camry

  • Ironic they talk about climate change yet they drive priuses...

  • i want a Prius!!!!!!

  • if i was a taxi driver and they made me drive a prius around i would quit

  • to bad you didn't say you'd kill yourself...make us all laugh at you even more then we are now.

  • Thanks for exist !! Today,Tomorrow,Toyota.

  • This thing is slow as shit. 110 horse power?? You would be better off riding a horse then spending $30,000 for this piece of shit. Hybrid= fad Full Electric Cars=future.

  • its been said that a hummer1 (h1) is less environmentally damaging than the prius. nickle has to be mined from America and sent by boat a big gas guzzling boat to Europe then produced in a factory and sent back to America for the batteries. the prius only gets a 10year warranty and the h1 gets a 30 year warranty. the damaging toll that add up from the prius is twice as much as an h1

  • key word....it has been SAID....it's also been proved to be a lie.

  • The process used to recycle the battery of a prius emits more than a Hummer H3 would in 10 years. And that's just the recycling. Let's not forget how they have to ship the battery from various countries to japan. And the mining process pollutes and the nickel is sparse, hell priuses can't even be built in america due to pollution codes. The Prius is also a very inefficient vehicle, and it's ugly

  • wow, talk about not knowing anything.

The Prius is going to be made there, they already have a factory there setup for it lol.

I live in the country where they get the nickel, if you knew anything you'd know that what you just typed is so far from the truth it isn't even funny. This isn't 1909.

And it's obvious you know NOTHING about the recycling process lol.

    Dumbass.

  • No, they aren't. And no, you're wrong.

  • lol, ok whatever.

You can't go around talking out your ass like you do when anyone can look up facts online.

  • Yes, and when anyone looks up my points, they'll come to realize that my points are supported and yours aren't.

  • Right.

  • Recycling the battery does not use more energy than a hummer. Recycling is a process that does not use a lot of energy and the energy used is from renewable resources. Recycling the battery does not emit a lot of energy and I would like to know wherever you heard that lie.

Google Prius myth if you want truthful information.

  • The Prius is not built in America because the materials needed to build it are not located in America. Not because of pollution codes. Tell me the source of your information.

Also, for the shipping process, it's called globalization. Companies all over the world ship their parts racking up high pollution but for some reason you seem to just target the Prius, a car, not even a company. Also, the nickel plant was polluted 30 yrs ago, not today.

Google Prius myth to find truthful information.

  • the heavy metals in a priuses battery are located in america, then shipped to erope for reinement, then to japan to be put into batteriesand the car. building and shipping a prius is dirtier than running a land rover for 10 years

  • @ooooeeeeooooeeee also google for prius annoyances, or watch it on youtube. it shows how a prius starts the engine to warm up on each journey for a few miles. Well I would want to use it on electric for short journeys. I got shut and bought a 1600cc tcdi Ford Focus. Far more efficient and cheaper than a prius.

  • Do some actual research. Everything you wrote is bogus!

  • Where the hell are you getting your information?? The Prius (at its worst) gets higher than 40 mpg.

  • WTF are you talking about?

Golf can't even come close, even in tdi format

  • Golf can't come close? LOLWUT?

Now, even Mercedes C-class 220 CDI 170HP does 58 MPG. Prius doesn't comes close, plus, C-class is a car and Prius isn't

  • Mercedes can't even build a car...wtf you talking about.

58mpg...LOL I get 68mpg every tank in my Prius...show me another car that does that, in stock form from the factory!

  • Any blue motion VW will.

  • Rubbish, Prius will struggle to get above 50 mpg. Plus it's not a car and Mercedes C-class is. THE END.

  • C class LOL, please, don't make me laugh.

The Prius doesn't stuggle to get above 50mpg...it does it very easily. If it didn't why can sooo many people always get above it? Like me at 68mpg, others can get even 80.

    Say home

  • The old Prius gets 40 mpg, the new one gets 50mpg but you have to try very hard. 220 CDI engine can be trashed all day and it'll still have good fuel economy and you'll have a lot of fun driving it. Prius = no fun = meh.

  • I have a 06...I get 68mpg out of it all day everyday. The new ones people are getting as high as 90mpg out of them. All stock, nothing has been changed.

again, don't make me laugh by bringing in the 220.

  • No shit, the C-class is the best in its class

  • The BMW 120d coupe doesn't get as good mpg but is far quicker and probably more efficient. On motor ways or any fast driving it will use less fuel than the Prius.

  • Really...thats why it's rated at 49mpg, vs a new Prius at 60mpg....hell even my 06 Prius gets 56mpg and thats mostly hwy driving.

  • My point is the 120d is far quicker making it more efficient.

  • Then your point = fail.

Because it's quicker, how does that make it more efficient? LOL

  • I mean you get a very fast car that uses little fuel. Any proper work required like hills or fast driving the Prius will lose its economy far worse than the bmw. You want use little fuel but you dont want a car thats going to be that slow

  • lol, if you actually knew anything about the Prius you wouldn't be saying that.

  • It's not as slow as people think. The 04-09Prius basically has the power of a 2.5 Liter I-4, but gets twice the mileage.

  • Volkswagen polo blue motion

  • what about it?

It gets about the same mpg as a Prius... at about half the size.

  • The Blue Motion does 6 more mpg and release less CO2 and without using large batteries which are hardly environmentally friendly to build or dispose of.

  • wrong.

It's only stupid peole like you that believe that.

  • Your correct the Blue Motion does 9 more mpg unless your thinking of the new Prius model which has just come out which you can't compare fairly with a car 7 years older wait for the new Blue Motion. Anyway if you can afford a Prius why would you care about economy.

  • Oh yeah, thats in u.k gallons not u.s

  • Mercedes can build cars, a comment like that is wrong and shows ill knowledge. They innovate and the car industry wouldn't be like it is today if it were not for Mercedes-Benz.

  • You just keep telling yourself that.

  • ABS, airbags, electric windows, active cruise control, catalytic concerts, the blue tech system... Toyotas are not as fuel efficient as Mercedes and BMW and there is more to a car than the mpg. On motorway or quick driving the mpg is poor prius even with the battery compared to a German diesel.

  • Aww, look. It's another diesel owner unhappy that the Prius is selling like wide fire, and he's here to tell us that his car is better. lol

Dude what are you going to do when the EVs start hitting the showroom floors. They don't ever use gas. At least with the Prius, you can make it an Plug-In-Hybrid and go about 1,400 miles with only 9 gallons of gas.

  • Mercedes can't even build a car...wtf you talking about.

58mpg...LOL I get 68mpg every tank in my Prius...show me another car that does that, in stock form from the factory!

  • Going downhill doesn't count

  • ummm, you have 1 to many zero's in there...and the warranty is 8 years....dumbass

  • okok i think the prius is great but stylish ummm not untill you hit it with some mods

and why down they put a dam solar panel on the top???

  • Prius = Preces = Feces. Ugliest car ever. I'll never give up my V8s and so what I'll gladly pay more at the pump. Instead of hugging a tree, go wrap a Preces around one.

  • My prius only get around 35mpg.. Whats wrong?

  • watch some videos on "hypermiling" to get ideas. however something doesn't sound right.

  • cool video. . I get around 800+km with 40litres of fuel. averaging around 21km/ltr

  • Excellent video. I bought an '07 in March. I love my car and my last tank I got 61.5 MPG for a total tank of 702 miles. I would NEVER own an all ICE (internal combustion engine) car engine. Thanks for posting this vid.
