I think this would have benefited so much more from a drawn, but still sprite based style.

This 3d style lacks detail and therefore, IMO, looks very uninteresting.

I've heard that they are. That seems to be the case since they haven't shown any more of the game since it was revealed. I hope they put more time into this than they did with the SH games.

Me? Honestly? I think that they look like a western game developer trying to emulate Japanese special effects graphics in 3D lol. But I'm told (and I've read) that the game will look much better when it's released, and I'm inclined to agree. If i didn't believe that the game had promise, I wouldn't have posted the trailer.

Maybe on Virtual Console, but remember that the game in this video isn't coming to WiiWare. So expecting RKA or the 2 Sparkster games to coincide with this release is probably not going to happen any more than Bionic Commando would, having it's NES counterpart show up on the VC when the PS360 game came out. However I do think Konami wants Nintendo to put all of their games on the VC.

Don't blame you, they were all great games. I'm one of the few that prefer the SNES version to the Genesis version of Sparkster, but I thought the overall presentation was better. The first game was great. It's definitely classic Konami.

To me it looks like a Western company trying to emulate 2D Eastern visuals into 3D. A little love here and there couldn't hurt, but ultimately how it plays is the most important thing.

I hope this is an early build because even for a downloadable game, those graphics are terrible. Where are all the textures? Everything looks like its made of plastic.

According to the production team's facebook and twitter, the footage was taken from a pre-Alpha build which is why there isn't that much detail yet.

Well this game is being handled by Climax, who are currently finishing the Silent Hill remake for Wii & PS2, so maybe they're trying a new look. I'll give this game a shot though since I liked the originals.
